How Do Dolores Catania’s Kids Feel About Her New-Found Fame & RHONJ?!

Dolores Catania has popped up here and there on RHONJ in the past, but this is her first time in the spotlight and well, famous. Dolores is the mom of 20-year-old Gabrielle, and 17-year-old Frankie, both who love and support their mom more than anything (just check them out on social media if you don’t take my word for it).

As a young(ish) adult myself I can’t imagine what it would be like if my mom was suddenly in the spotlight, so I’ve been curious for a while about how Dolores’ kids felt about her new role as a real housewife.  “The kids haven’t been affected by it yet. They’re very proud though. They always tell me, ‘Mom we’re so proud of you,’” she gushed.

Gabby and Frankie better get ready, as two gorgeous young adults they are both about to become American heartthrobs; sooner rather than later I predict! Luckily Frankie has someone he can turn too when the teenage girls start flocking; yes former RHONJ teen heartthrob Albie Manzo. The two recently hung out and and what a pretty pair they make!

While Gabby is friendly with both Lauren Manzo and Ashlee Holmes, I don’t see her needing their advice on how to handle the haters. She’s a college student in vet school who doesn’t seem to engage in drama (how refreshing); I think we’re going to love this family!

Dolores dished on being her authentic self and shared the best part of her new“job”. “The easiest part is just that it’s very organic and it’s just very natural for me. You know everyone so well. I know their back-stories and I know where they grow up. I know their parents, I know their cousins, I know the schools they went [sic] to. So the easiest part for me was just being around everybody and we had so much fun and so many good times.

Of course, she did face some challenges in filming her first season; it is RHONJ after-all! “The hardest part was that there were some emotional times and there were some things that have happened that you’ll see,” she explained. We told you months ago about Dolores’ end of the season fight with Jacqueline, and this must be one of the things she’s referring to! The pair has since made up, but given she made it through almost the whole season without major drama, it must have been hard for her!

Because this is real, this isn’t fake. This isn’t some women sitting around, drinking a cup of tea and saying some snarky remarks. This is as real as it gets, so to see that and to see anyone I care about hurt or upset, it’s upsetting to me and that’s the hardest thing,” she wrapped!

Thoughts on Dolores’ family? Are you hoping to see more of them soon? Are you loving her so far on RHONJ? Are you hoping to see her friendship fall apart with Jac fall apart for good?
