Who knew one fishy comment would cost both ladies so much money??
We all are familiar with the never ending legal drama between Brandi Glanville and Joanna Krupa. Brandi stated that Joanna was the reason Yolanda’s marriage to Mohamed ended and also claimed that he said her ‘you know what’ smelled. I mean is there any harsher rumor or accusation you could throw out at a woman??
Joanna, who is a bikini model, claimed that she lost work due to Brandi’s comments as her career is built on a sexy (and not smelly) image. Brandi has called BS and her legal team is now demanding that Joanna provide tax returns to PROVE she lost out on income.
Brandi’s team is stating that the paperwork will prove that Joanna has not lost out on work opportunities; however the plot thickens as they are also saying she is not cooperating with them. Team Glanville is saying that Team Krupa is refusing to hand over the requested documents that would prove her career was impacted.
The case has been pending for several months now and both ladies have had to dish out serious legal fees (really Brandi – was it worth it???) Documents that Brandi’s team has requested include her Real Housewives of Miami contract, medical records and communications with Mohamed, Lisa Vanderpump and Andy Cohen. I’m not a lawyer but I’m curious as to why they are interested in medical records. Are they trying to prove she has a medal condition??
It is reported that Joanna and her team have objected to many demands, specifically refusing to hand over tax returns. In addition to looking at income, Brandi’s team is hoping that the tax returns will prove that Joanna lived in CA, not FL, when the suit was filed. Why is this important you may ask?
“If that is the case, the statute of limitations in California could cause Krupa’s entire case to fall apart, due to her waiting too long to file suit.”
My opinion (for what it’s worth) is that this case has gone on way too long and is beyond ridiculous. When Joanna first filed I thought it was a way to scare Brandi straight and shut her up. I don’t think she (nor Brandi) ever imagined it would be going on to this day! I do think Joanna had a legit point stating that Brandi’s comments harmed her sexy image which is how she makes money. On the other hand, Brandi’s legal team seems to have some good points, and the fact that Joanna’s team is not providing requested documents makes me think that there is something they don’t want Brandi’s lawyers to see.
What do you think of this mess? Should the ladies call it a day on this case? Whose side are you on?
