Melissa and Joe Gorga’s once dream home is now officially on the market. The RHONJ couple is selling their never-lived-in dream home located in Franklin Lakes, NJ.
The house is on the market for a whopping $2.65 million and has been listed since May 2016. Currently, the house is still in the construction phase but will be completed by Joe Gorga. The Franklin Lakes home features five bedrooms, six full bathrooms, a two-story great room, marble floors and giant walk-in closets.
Previously during season six of RHONJ, Joe bragged about his building skills saying “A Joe Gorga house is impeccable. When you open up those history books, and you look in Rome, that’s what I build. I just have that gift. I’m the Michelangelo of New Jersey of building homes.”
The couple planned to sell their Montville mansion and build this new home in Franklin Lakes during season six of RHONJ when the Gorga family was living in a rental. But during the season 7 premiere of RHONJ, it was revealed that the family moved back into their Montville home and had given up their dream of moving to Franklin Lakes.
In her Bravo blog, Melissa opened up about moving back into their old house saying, “As you can see we are back in our house in Montville and we couldn’t be happier. It is our home! We have been in that house since Antonia was two-years-old and the boys were born there. We did build the house in Franklin Lakes and it is currently on the market for sale. It’s a beauty!”
I love Melissa and Joe’s house in Montville – it’s very beautiful, so I never understood why they wanted to move. While their new house in Franklin Lakes looks amazing, I think they are better off staying where they are and being closer to Teresa and her family.
