Former RHOC, Lauri Peterson has had a history of troubles with her son Joshua Waring. On the show, she constantly was looking for ways to help her troubled son and eventually left the show altogether to focus on his treatment and helping him better. We also heard of her and George adopting Joshua’s child as he could not kick his drug habit and Lauri knew it would be best for the child.
Most recently, Joshua’s problems have taken an even more sinister turn as he is now facing attempted murder charges after allegedly shooting someone in the torso after an argument.
A friend spoke out on Lauri’s behalf saying that the OC beauty is “inconsolable!” and is “absolutely mortified at what is going on right now.”
Joshua has a tragic history with hard drugs and Lauri herself has said she views him as having an illness as kicking this habit is both mental and physical.
The source continued:
“Lauri does not know what to say because what Josh did was so disturbing that there is really nothing she can say right now.”
“Her friends are trying to console her and be there for her but she is just so ashamed of what is going on with Josh.”
It is also being reported that Waring appeared in the courtroom last week; however did not plea. The court date was moved to July 15th and is being charged as follows:
“three counts of attempted murder, three counts personal use of a firearm and one count of inflicting great bodily injury.”
As to why the date was moved? “the court postponed the arraignment after Waring refused to leave his cell.”
Our thoughts and prayers are with Lauri as she really has turned her life into helping her son and his child. I’m sure that there are no words that can be of comfort right now.
