Thursday night AATRH was in Atlantic City attending Cocktails on The Beach to support Gilda’s Club South Jersey and it was an amazing time! Not only was it a great crowd that raised lots of money, but also we got the chance to catch up with Teresa Giudice and she had a lot to say!
As usual, Teresa drew a huge crowd to the meet and greet portion of the event, and she explained to us what led to her involvement with Gilda’s Club South Jersey! “My lawyer and dear friend Jim Leonard’s sister-in-law Karen Leonard is a breast cancer survivor and Gilda’s Club helped out her family tremendously while she was sick. When I heard that Jim and his wife Rebecca were co-chairing this event I wanted to be involved in any way I could.” Gilda’s Club is a national charity founded in memory of comedienne Gilda Radner and their mission “is to ensure that all people impacted by cancer are empowered by knowledge, strengthened by action and sustained by community.” This was a phenomenal event and after personally talking to Karen (who was amazing BTW) I feel compelled to be involved with this charity more; I will definitely be back next year!
We got on the subject of Teresa’s very successful career as an author and she confirmed that she will “definitely” be writing another book! She also exclusively told us that a “soft cover bonus-chapter of Turning The Tables will be released on July 5th. This chapter will cover the time I got home in December until the days before Joe left in early March.” I can’t wait to get this Teresa-treat, especially because it will be released just 5 days before RHONJ season 7 starts!
Teresa also dished on those Dancing With the Stars rumors, and let me preface this by saying it is NOT a spoiler alert for next season, but Teresa “would love to join the show when the time is right.” You’d also be SHOCKED to find out that Teresa actually almost joined DWTS last season! “They offered, I actually had the contract for the season that just aired. It was a hard decision but it was just too much. I was just coming home and Joe was about to leave, I wanted to spend time with him and the girls.” It turns out those DWTS casting rumors from months ago were true, and in the end Teresa definitely made the right decision; however I think she will go very far in the competition when the time is right!
Teresa shared that she is just like us and can’t wait for RHONJ season 7 to premiere. “Yes, of course I’m excited, I am ready for people to really know that I’m back. I feel like things happened so long ago now and it’s time for the fans to see!” I’m not sure she’s as excited as we are here at AATRH, and the 30-day count down is almost here!
Teresa is looking better than ever and while she confirmed she is in the process of getting certified as a yoga instructor, that’s not the only workout’s she’s doing! “I just joined the gym, and I’m running. I needed to do something else and mix it up. I still LOVE the yoga I just needed some cardio.” I asked Teresa if it’s been hard to keep the weight off since she got home and I absolutely loved her response! “I definitely gained some weight back, but I’ve been told it’s in the right places!” Teresa also confirmed that she “definitely” wants to come out with a workout line. “Fashion is my background, I would love to design a line, all when the time is right I am not jumping into anything right now.”
Of course, I had to check in with the REAL stars of RHONJ, the Giudice sisters! “They are doing great but you know, they miss their father. We all went to see him on his birthday and it was a really nice day. No one had any games so it was perfect we all got to be together.” As you can see on Teresa’s social media her daughters are VERY involved and VERY busy. She shared that they call her the “Uber driver” because she spends so much time in the car driving them to actives but she, “wouldn’t have it any other way.” As for camera time for the girls this season Teresa spilled, “you will always see Milania she loves the camera. She acts out when the cameras are rolling because she knows it makes everyone laugh, she loves to make people laugh. She says when she’s older she wants to be on TV.” (I think that will happen) She also said that, “Audriana kind of likes it too because she grew up on TV so she doesn’t mind it.”
Teresa looks the same now as she did in season one and she says that she goes to the same people regularly for her beauty treatments. She said for her hair she likes to “keep things simple,” and landing a spot in US Weekly’s Best Body Issue is what inspired her lighter ‘do, which looks amazing! When it comes to beauty products she likes to “try new and different things, some I love and some I don’t; it’s the only way to find what works! I just got products from Sisley and Stilla, I heard there really good, I will let you know!”
Bravo puts MAJOR restrictions on the housewives before an upcoming season so I knew Teresa couldn’t talk too much about RHONJ season 7, but she once again confirmed that we are going to “absolutely love Robyn Levy, Siggy Flicker, and Dolores Catania. They are all as beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside.” As for Dolores being friends with Caroline Manzo, that goes back to her once being best friends with Dina. Teresa says that she saw Dina the last time she was on the East Coast and she has met her boyfriend. “Yes of course I’ve met him, he’s great and so cute; see it’s never too late!”
Teresa finished by telling me that still to this day, A LOT of things that are written about her are completely made up. “People don’t understand the legal system and all they do is read the first line and think the worst about me. Listen, I live for my kids they are my life, I don’t sit around on social media, but I will say you can’t believe everything you read!”
After my 3rd time getting to chat with Teresa this year I can’t say enough good things; talk about making a comeback! Come July 10th RHONJ fans are going to be reminded of why we’ve loved her for years! I encourage you to educate yourself on Gilda’s Club and get involved if you can, I grateful to have been included in such a successful event for an amazing cause!
