Another one bites the dust! It looks as if Kathryn Edwards is getting the ax from the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills after only one season.
Sources reveal that producers chose not to bring back Kathryn, who is married to retired NFL star Donnie Edwards. Kathryn joined RHOBH in January as a friend of Lisa Rinna.
Despite only lasting one season as a Housewife, Kathryn isn’t the first Beverly Hills wife to get the boot after only one season. Carlton Gebbia and Joyce Girard, who both joined RHOBH for season 4, were fired after only one season.
Kathryn’s biggest story lines included her feud with Faye Resnick and her connection to the OJ Simpson trial as well as her backstabbing fellow newbie Erika Girardi when she told Lisa Vanderpump the not nice things Erika said about her.
Despite her lack of drama, Kathryn revealed how much she enjoyed being a Housewife in her final Bravo blog saying,“I’ve had fun and have made some valued friendships. I’ve enjoyed meeting a lot of people who have approached me while I’m out and about, and I’ve taken so much from the people who have shared their stories that parallel my own.”
It’s clear that season six of RHOBH was a transitional season for the show as they dealt with demoting former stars Brandi Glanville and Kim Richards to friends of the Housewives and bringing on Erika and Kathryn as full-time wives.
As for season seven, there’s still a lot up in the air. Rumor has it Bravo is looking to add Sydney Holland, a movie producer, and ex-girlfriend of billionaire Sumner Redstone for season 7.
Bravo has yet to officially comment on Kathryn’s exit from RHOBH, but it looks as if the writing is on the wall.
