RHOD Ratings Are Down The Toilet; Will Bravo Flush It’s Newest Franchise After Only 1 Season?!

We can’t deny that The Real Housewives of Dallas has been a major let down so far this season, and while some of us keep watching, many have tuned out. Everyone had high hopes for the newest Bravo franchise, yet week after week the ladies continue to disappoint.

Ratings are low for The Real Housewives of Dallas, and getting lower according to The Dallas Observer. For the shows premiere about 1 million people tuned in, and by week 2 only 920,000 watched. By week 3 (Monday night’s episode), a mere 828,000 watched, wow! If this downward spiral continues it doesn’t seem possible that Bravo could renew the show, but they did it would need a MAJOR cast revamp.

To put things into perspective (because this ratings information is very confusing, RHOD premiered with a 0.4 rating, while The Real Housewives of Potomac had a 0.9 rating. RHOD stayed firm at 0.4 for episode 2, but dropped to 0.3 for episode 3. RHOP dropped to 0.7 for episode 2, but went back up to 0.8 for episode 3. 0.4% means that 0.4% of people aged 18-49 tuned in for the show. Most people really didn’t like RHOP, yet it had double the amount of viewers, what a bust for Dallas!

I’ve talked to A LOT of people about The Real Housewives of Dallas and everyone has the same answer; too much charity, and WAY too much poop talk. It seems unanimous that LeeAnne Locken is NOT a fan favorite, and her lack of money alone takes her out of “housewives status.” She is constantly saying the word charity, yet doesn’t really talk about these charities. I am ALL for charity and have one myself I am extremely passionate about; if she got up there and talked about the causes and fought for something meaningful people would view it differently. LeeAnne seems only interested in how charity is for her personally and it’s a turn off.

As for Brandi Redmond and Stephanie Hollman, they seem great, however they are ruining their time to shine by talking about poop. I have two brothers, nothing phases me, however I’d listen to them talk instead of watching RHOD if I wanted to be grossed out. I’d give these two another shot if they changed things up and showcased a different side of themselves; right now they have literal potty mouthes!

Cary Deuber has been dull, yet this week used her voice and I liked what she had to offer, hopefully we see more of that. Tiffany Hendra also seems great, but they should NOT have shown her house shopping. It’s everyone’s dream to own a home, yet again they showed that she is not anywhere near “housewives status.”

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills  ladies own planes and yachts, and we love every minute of it. While not all of the franchises’ are that rich, the money is part of what makes the show, and there certainly is no shortage of that in Dallas!

AATRH will keep you informed as soon as a decision is made in regards to The Real Housewives of Dallas season 2. My guess is it will somehow get a second season, but some MAJOR changes will go down, hopefully more money, less poop talk, and less LeeAnne. If RHOD gets a season 2 and makes some big changes, I’ll definitely give it another chance!

Are you surprised RHOD ratings are so low? Are you still watching? Thoughts on the show? Do you like LeeAnne? Is there too much poop talk for you? Do you think RHOD will get a season 2? Will you watch?
