This season on The Real Housewives of Potomac Karen Huger was not perceived very well. Fans were totally turned off by her “holier than now” attitude, and apparently so were some of her co-stars. In this week’s Bravo Blog Karen opens up about the off camera conversation she had with Charrisse Jackson Jordan, and claims she never called herself the star of the show. She goes on that she was just trying to help Charrisse, and she’s not sure where the issues between them came from.

Karen also opened up about her conflict with Ashley and Michael Darby, and surprisingly reveals that she has not given up on Ashley yet; I see more drama with these two for season 2!

Karen and Gizelle Bryant were clearly in a good place at the reunion, and Karen even shared that her biggest regret from the season was her conversation with Gizelle about her birthday dinner. She says she wishes that she handled it differently, and I’m sure next time she will! Were you surprised that Charrisse called you delusional and accused you of saying you were the star of the show?

Karen Huger: I was very surprised and disappointed Charrisse misinterpreted our private conversation. Charrisse had expressed to me in several occasions during taping the season that she was not pleased with the direction in which the show was going. I suggested that she interview alone on the local networks so that she could be the sole reality star of those interviews and have her voice heard. I was simply being a friend in her time of need. I don’t even think Charrisse understands what she’s doing or saying right now; apparently she’s in a very bad place. I wish her all the best. Tell us about having The Black Bill Gates, Ray, come out and discuss your drama. What do you think about Michael saying you were speaking for Ray on the golf course?

KH: I’m not sure whether Ashley could not or just simply chose not to understand that I was uncomfortable and Michael didn’t seem to understand what he did was wrong by showing up unexpectedly. Ray felt the same way I did about the situation. I thought it appropriate that Ray would talk to Michael and maybe help him understand why that was a issue.

Michael was all wrong. Ray and I have been married for 20 years and we don’t speak for one another. Ray speaks for himself, quite brilliantly I might add. What were you thinking confronting Ashley and Michael on the Bethany Beach drama and when Andy asked about your ejaculation comments? How were you feeling towards Ashley by the end of the Reunion?

KH: When Andy addressed the comment, I explained to him that I was just repeating what Ashley had told me and merely encouraging them to have the baby that they were saying they want to have. Ashley then would understand the trials and tribulations and joys of raising a child and a mother’s desire to protect her child at all costs.

While I was disappointed with many of Ashley’s comments I haven’t given up on her, yet. If there’s anything you can go back and do differently, what would it be and why?

KH: I would change the time and place in which to address Gizelle concerning the birthday seating arrangement. I should’ve had a one-on-one with her in private.

While The Grand Dame of Potomac rubbed me the wrong way at first, I did like her by the end of the season. I definitely think Karen will be back next season, as long as her kitchen renovations are done in time!

Thoughts on Karen’s blog? What did you think of her this season; did your opinion change as the season went on? Are you shocked she’s going to give Ashley another chance? Do you believe Charrisse’s story, or Karen’s about their off-camera conversation? Will you watch RHOP season 2?
