Real Housewives of New York star Bethenny Frankel may need a lot of things, but marriage isn’t one of them. Recently the Skinny Girl creator revealed that she’s in no rush to walk down the aisle again.
“We’re not supposed to change who we are for a man, and I guarantee I won’t be making that mistake again. I don’t need to get married. I don’t need a man. I can support five men,” Bethenny tells PEOPLE.
Bethenny, who is still in the middle of an ugly divorce from estranged husband, Jason Hoppy. The reality couple split in December of 2012 after three years of marriage.
“Everybody is out there looking for someone – they want the ring and to get married. My opinion is you need a man who can deal with you. If I can’t meet someone who can do that, then I’d rather be alone.”
There is light at the end of the tunnel for Bethenny’s divorce as the court recently dropped her spousal payments to Hoppy by $12,000 a month, which Bethenny is “pleased” about.
As for her dating life, the reality star says,“A different caliber of man has been interested in me in the last couple of years. It’s been someone really successful who is very smart who is excited to meet a woman who doesn’t need them to be their everything and doesn’t need them to support them.”
