Charrisse Jackson-Jordan is the glue that holds The Real Housewives of Potomac together, and she has brought together a very dynamic group of women for the show. She is very respected in the community and everyone wants to be on her good side. Charrisse showed Ashley a very warm welcome this week, proving she’s not as old-fashioned as we think. Charrisse even forgave Gizelle, but as we learned after the fact, good ol’ whiskey was most likely behind that reconciliation. Charrisse gave all of her behind the scenes dirt on this week’s episode to Bravo, and in an unlikely turn of events even threw some shade at BFF Karen Huger
Bravotv.com: Were you surprised that Karen and Gizelle buried the hatchet?
Charrisse Jackson Jordan: I was totally not surprised that Gizzy and Karen buried the hatchet. Good for them! The issue at hand wasn’t that big of deal in the first place. Someone sitting in the honoree’s seat isn’t that serious. Unless you just have nothing going on in your life that you need to dwell on something so minimal as a seat. We have bigger fish to fry in Potomac.
Bravotv.com: What were you thinking going into Ashley’s whiskey tasting, knowing Gizelle would be there?
CJJ: Going into the Whiskey tasting I wasn’t looking forward to seeing Gizelle. After all, though she appears externally beautiful, “her face repulses me,” Lol. There was a saying that the older generation often said as I was growing up, “One monkey don’t stop the show.” With that being said, Gizelle has no power over Charrisse. I just want to enjoy my friendships and I love getting out with good company. Though whiskey isn’t on the list for my choices of consumption, “When in Rome…” In this case, I am more concerned about the headache I may have the next day.
Bravotv.com: Why did you decide to squash your drama with Gizelle, did you feel everything had really been settled after the tasting?
CJJ: I have more important things to focus on and prefer not to waste anymore thought on this little tiff with Gizelle. You can’t teach an old dog new tricks. If she doesn’t realize inappropriate behavior at this point in her life, I am not going to waste my time trying to teach her something that she simply won’t get. However, I have a feeling I won’t have to worry about that type of nonsense reoccurring in my home. Underneath all of her craziness there is actually a great person. I’m looking forward to many more great times vs. sweating the small stuff. After all, we are friends…I think…TBD!
Charrisse is back-tracking and playing the “I have more important things to focus on” card, and I’m not really buying it. She obviously has a hard time admitting any wrong doing since she wouldn’t discuss it, but luckily for Gizelle this issue is squashed; However I see many more problems in the future for these two, and it will be interesting to see how Charrisse handles drama the rest of the season.
Thoughts on what Charrisse had to say? Do you like her on RHOP? What did you think of this week’s episode of The Real Housewives of Potomac?
