Lisa Rinna’s lips do like to talk and when she recently appeared on Heather Dubrow’s podcast, Heather Dubrow’s World she really let loose. Lisa dished on the drama of Beverly Hills and shared some pretty interesting insights about her co-stars
During the interview, Lisa opened up about being on reality TV saying that,“You need to be your authentic self! It’s about authentic storytelling and the truth.”
Talking about authenticity and truth led to Heather and Lisa discussing the Kyle and Kim Richards. Both ladies admitted to being fascinated by the dysfunctional relationship Kim and Kyle have.
Lisa says it’s odd that the sister wound up on reality TV considering how private and secretive they are. “Kyle’s so private about it – she really doesn’t share. She was taught not to open up that part of her life and keep it quiet. Which is such a dichotomy for them being on a reality show, obviously.”
Heather chimes in saying it’s surprising that after growing up in Hollywood Kim and Kyle thought they could get away with hiding secrets from the public.
According to Lisa though the Richards sisters were taught to keep quiet about their secrets. “You’re right, but they were taught from a very early age – all three of those girls, Kathy included – to keep your dirty laundry at home.”
Lisa then dishes about season six of RHOBH saying,“completely different, very authentic, very based in reality. Nobody was doing anything to cause a reaction, to create something to happen.”
This, of course, brings up the topic of Brandi Glanville. Both ladies admit that don’t like Brandi’s “fully honest” persona about letting fans know her behavior on the show is only to keep her relevant and save her job.
Heather says Brandi’s ways “are a problem,” and that the audience can see through her act,“The audience has a bullshit meter.”
Lisa agrees, “You have to create a whole storyline that doesn’t exist based on why somebody did something like that so they could somehow save their job. It is easy to work off of people like that, to be honest. They’re just such game players to play with because they just give it to you on a platter. This year was different. All the women that are on the show this year are very mature, very smart, very grounded, very centered. There’s no crazy. I don’t think! So you’re dealing in reality.”
Thoughts on Lisa’s interview? Do you think fans could see past Brandi’s facade? Did Brandi make RHOBH worse or better? Do you think Kyle and Kim are secretive?
