Her lips were made for talking – and that’s just what they’ll do! Lisa Rinna is always giving her opinion and rarely (if ever) is quiet on RHOBH so a talk show may be a natural progression for her career!
Lisa Rinna was recently a guest on Heather Dubrow’s podcast and revealed that she may have a new career in her future! Per Lisa “I got a talk show. I auditioned my little tush off six times.” Hey – she knows how to hustle!
Lisa clarified that it’s still under construction and that she will be shooting a pilot for NBC in early 2016.
Lisa will not be the only star, as it will be a co-ed panel type show also starring actor Scott Wolf, singer Kelis and comedian Al Jackson (can we say random or what??)
Lisa acknowledged that people may not understand the panel selection saying “We are a motley crew. You would not pick us for a jury, us four.”
The show has yet to be officially picked up and will reportedly focus on pop culture.
I respect that Lisa admits that it was her role as a Housewife that most likely got her this spot (although Lisa was huge in the soap world for years – RHOBH has definitely helped her transition to the overall “pop culture” world with a younger audience). Lisa says “I’ll tell you what, without doing the Housewives, I probably would not have gotten this show.” Many of the ladies seem to use the franchise as a stepping stone towards other goals and it seems that Lisa is no different!
Well with Brandi and Kim Richard’s upcoming reality shows, Kyle’s scripted show and now Lisa’s potential talk show it seems like being a housewife definitely will open doors for you to stay relevant on TV!
