It really is a small world, and about to get even smaller! Bravo has the PERFECT house-husbands cross-over on their hands, and they can’t even film it! Bravolebrities have quite the reputation of legal woes, fraudulent situations, and unpaid bills. With this lack of regard for the law comes punishment and and sometimes even prison, which unfortunately has become all too real for two of our favorite housewife families!
Apollo Nida, husband of Phaedra Parks was a regular on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. He had spent time in prison prior to marrying Phaedra, so viewers were not nearly as surprised as she was when he got arrested again. Apollo turned himself in just over a year ago in September, 2014 to serve his eight year prison sentence for bank fraud and identity theft. Apollo was at a federal prison KMC, in Kentucky, up until about two weeks ago. All About The Tea is reporting that Nida has been transferred to FCI Fort Dix, in New Jersey. There’s no word on why the transfer went down, only that he’s adjusting well to the less restricted, minimum security prison. Apollo also may be up for early release in 2020 on good behavior!
I wonder if Apollo was having problems with other inmates, or if he was already showing signs of good behavior and sent to a “better” prison. (total oxymoron) A transfer can also be completely random, and I guess we won’t know until we hear from Apollo himself; whenever that may be! While you wouldn’t expect an already convicted felon (Apollo) to be sentenced to a “low-security prison,” apparently his original institution had the same restrictions as his current one in New Jersey. If Phaedra didn’t take the kids to Kentucky to visit their dad, I think it’s a given she isn’t making the trip to New Jersey!
Coincidentally, Joe Giudice (set to turn himself in around early March 2016) is set to serve his time at FCI Fort Dix as well! Joe was sentenced to 41 months last year for bankruptcy fraud; he’s set to report following the release of his wife RHONJ star Teresa Giudice’s prison stint on similar charges. It’s speculation that Teresa will be released in just 20 days, coming home in time to spend the holidays with her family!
Ironically, Apollo offered Joe Giudice some advice on how to survive in prison during his first interview from behind bars, “Stay humble and don’t act better than anyone; just observe your surroundings.” Apollo will have a few months under his belt and definitely be familiar with the place by the time Joe gets there. If I was I’d start Joe contacting Apollo now, and hopefully the two will be friends in there! I don’t doubt Apollo is holding his own in prison; he was familiar on what to expect. Joe Giudice expressed the fact that he doesn’t give much thought on what to expect; but ……”whadya gonna do?”-Joe Giudice Mumble
Too bad they can’t film behind bars; it would surely be a Bravo hit!
What do you think about Apollo and Joe serving time in the same prison? Do you think they will be friends? Do you think Appollo will get out early on good behavior? Do you think Joe is prepared to go to prison?
