When we think of Kim Zolciak Biermann carrots and smoothies don’t exactly come to mind (more like wine, candy and red solo cups!) However after Kim’s recent health scare and very recent heart surgery, it looks like Kim is looking to turn a new leaf.
Kim recently spoke with Us Weekly and shared a day in the life of her new diet which now includes smoothies, veggies and turkey burgers.
Kim recently suffered a mini-stroke in September which prevented her from continuing with Dancing with the Stars which she was competing on at the time. It’s no doubt that this was a huge wake up call for the Don’t be Tardy star and that it was time for a change in her lifestyle.
Kim shares “Last week I got heart surgery and everything went very smoothly. While I’m still recovering, I’m looking forward to being 100 percent again. A big part of that is maintaining a healthy diet”.
Kim also mentions that her family has not surprisingly been incredibly supportive which no doubt makes it easier for her to stick to her new diet. I think it’s safe to assume that Kim’s main motivation is to get healthy in order to stay around as long possible in order to be there for her children and loving husband Kroy. Despite Kim’s wild past, she has turned into quite the devoted wife and mother which we have got to witness on her Bravo series.
