Sunday night’s episode of Kim Zolciak-Biermann’s spin-off “Don’t Be Tardy” shocked viewers when Kim’s 13-year-old daughter Ariana revealed she wants to be emancipated from Kim when she is 16 years old. Kim received a lot of criticism from the public after they heard Ariana’s plans, and some even called Kim a bad parent. Kim is now speaking out on what she thinks of Ariana’s statement.

While speaking with Entertainment Tonight, Kim was asked about Ariana’s emancipation comments. “Ariana just kind of says stuff,” Kim said about Ariana’s comments. “I don’t doubt that at 18 she will move out for sure.”

Kim added, “I mean, at this point, she knows she’s got a pretty good situation. I am strict, but you’re 13, honey.”

Ariana said she wanted to be emancipated, because Kim and Kroy make her babysit a lot. Ariana even said that if she could be raised by Brielle, she would. However, Kim explained that Ariana and Brielle are two totally different people. “I parent Ariana a lot different than I do Brielle. Ariana is the biggest help to me as far as helping out with the babies,” Kim revealed. “She’s a really good girl. If anybody’s the golden child, I guess it would probably be Ariana. You know, she’s grown up really, really quick, and I’m trying to slow her down a little bit. I want her to stay a child as long as I can, and I don’t want to lose her in the process of being a teenager.”

What do you think about what Kim had to say? Do you think Ariana’s comments should have been taken so seriously?
