Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Vanderpump has always made sure to use her platform for good. Besides being involved with two reality shows and a successful restaurateur, she is also a philanthropist and is heavily involved with animal charities. Lisa is now organizing a parade to end the cruelty on dogs.
During her interview with Fox Business, Lisa revealed that she will be organizing a parade to end the Yulin Dog Meat Festival. This festival takes place in China where people brutally kill dogs and serve their meat. Lisa discussed the parade while talking about her charity Vanderpump Pets.
“Vanderpump Pets is my passion right now,” Lisa said. “I am dog obsessed. I have seven dogs and a lot of what we’re doing is working with dog charities. My main priority this year – let it be on my bloody epitaph when I die – I’m going to be instrumental in stopping the barbaric torture against the poor dogs in the Yulin Dog Meat Festival every year in China. We’re organizing a march on October 4th in L.A.”
“Let’s stop the torture not the pictures,” Lisa added.
She then went on to explain her passion for dogs.
“As a judge for the Hero Dog Awards, I don’t just value them as pets,” Lisa explained. “I see how incredible they are as animals and how they are the conduit for people with post traumatic stress syndrome.”
Since RHOBH is currently filming its next season, it is likely that we could see Lisa organizing this parade on the show.
What do you think of Lisa’s idea? Would you like to see her pursue it on RHOBH?
