Not only has The Real Housewives of New Jersey been one of the most popular shows of the franchise, it has also been a fan favorite as well. Ever since Teresa Giudice began her 15 month prison sentence, the show has been on a hiatus. Casting rumors have been flying since Teresa went to jail, but it seems that fans will have to wait a little bit longer before getting any confirmation for the next season.
Real Mr. Housewife reports that production has yet to begin.
“Although fans are itching for a new season, production still is not ready to begin yet,” a Bravo insider said.
Recently, Melissa Gorga posted a photo to her Instagram of her son looking to be getting filmed by a production crew. This led fans to believe season seven may have started filming a bit, but according to this source, that does not seem to be the case.
“Production is still looking for new cast members,” the source explained. “They want to see if they can still find anyone else who would be a good addition to the cast, but they are having difficulty finding anyone at this point in time.”
Some casting rumors that have been circulating around the Internet are that Teresa will be making $1 million to return to the show, Jacqueline Laurita and Melissa want to make the same as Teresa, Dina Manzo wants a pay raise, Caroline Manzo is holding out for a big offer to return, and the twins, Teresa Aprea and Nicole Napolitano, will most likely not be asked back.
With filming allegedly being delayed until Teresa is released from prison later this year, fans will have to wait even longer for official casting news.
Do you believe that producers do not yet have a cast chosen for season seven? Who would you like to see on the show for the next season?
