Tamra Judge The Real Housewives of Orange County - RHOC

Tamra Judge Reveals Depression During Custody Battle: ‘I Didn’t Want To Wake Up And Live!’

No matter what Tamra Judge is going through personally, she never hesitates to share her stories with the public. Last year, specifically, was one of Tamra’s worst years. Not only was she feuding with almost every one of her costars on The Real Housewives of Orange County, she also went through a nasty custody battle with her ex-husband Simon Barney. Now, Tamra is speaking out on just how difficult last year was for her.

In an interview with In Touch Weekly, Tamra discussed the depression she went through during the custody battle.

“I got very depressed,” Tamra revealed. “There were times where I didn’t want to wake up and live.”

The custody battle did not end well for Tamra. Custody of her 16-year-old daughter Sidney went to Simon. Tamra turned to religion to help her through this difficult time.

“I was in the lowest place I’d ever been in my life,” she said. “As a family, we started to go to church to help with the pain.”

Tamra’s newfound religion is a storyline on the new season of RHOC. Even though her new religion is open to scrutiny due to being featured on the show, Tamra is hoping she can inspire others.

“My original plan was not to do it on camera,” she explained. “But after talking to my pastor, he told me that it could be very helpful for other people.”

Times are still rough for Tamra. Recently, her son Ryan Vieth was arrested for getting into a drunken altercation with his wife Sarah Rodriguez.

What do you think about what Tamra had to say about her custody battle? Do you believe she is sincere in her newfound religion?
