In the wake of being sentenced to fifteen months in prison and now having served seven months of that sentence Teresa Giudice is fighting back against the attorney who handled her bankruptcy.
Teresa Giudice has filed a malpractice suit against her bankruptcy attorney James Kridel citing his negligence as the reason she is currently incarcerated.
In a statement, Teresa’s lawyer Carlos Cuevas says, “The allegations contained in the complaint allege that Mr. Kridell is the reason that Mrs. Giudice is currently incarcerated. As alleged in the complaint – if he had taken appropriate action as her attorney, entrusted with her welfare, she would not be incarcerated.”
Cuevas filed the complaint on behalf of Teresa as she continues to serve her fifteen-month sentence.
“The missteps were so bad she had to plead guilty to bankruptcy fraud. Emotionally it’s a tremendous strain because imagine going to bed at night and not being able to say to your children, ‘I love you.’”
Are you shocked that Teresa is filing a malpractice suit? Do you think Teresa could win her suit against her bankruptcy attorney?
