The newest OC housewife, Meghan King Edmonds, is already leaving her impression on Orange County. Not only has she feuded with Shannon Beador and Vicki Gunvalson so far, she is also making headlines for family life as well. Now, Meghan is speaking out on both issues.
Meghan took to her Bravo blog to address what happened in this week’s episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County. She first addressed the sad news that her husband Jim’s ex-wife LeAnn passed away a few days ago.
“For LeAnn to embrace me as she did is a true testament to her character and her willingness to work together for the sake of her children,” Meghan wrote. “LeAnn’s personality was captured perfectly on camera: accommodating, sweet, and overall a lovely person.”
“I will never replace LeAnn and nor will I ever try but I hope that I can take her example and love her girls with even an ounce of the love she exhibited,” Meghan added. “I am truly blessed to have had LeAnn in my life and she lives on in my beautiful stepdaughters.”
On the recent episodes of the show, Meghan has discussed her unusual family situation. She and her husband only see each other about 50 percent of the time since he travels a lot. Meghan is frequently taking care of his daughter while he is away. The other women, mainly Vicki and Shannon, have not held back on their opinions of Meghan’s family life. Meghan, on the other hand, does not understand their need to judge her.
“It is not a perfect situation but it was always temporary and done out of the love we have for our family,” Meghan explained. “I don’t see the need to judge this negatively, if I was viewing my situation from an outsider perspective, I would think I would be in awe of the sacrifice we made on behalf of our marriage for the long term emotional health of our child.”
What do you think of what Meghan had to say in her blog? Do you agree with her that the other women should not judge her family life?
