This has been a difficult time for Kim Richards to say the least, and it seems to have just gotten even worse. After Kim’s relapse, arrest, entering rehab, taking a leave for her daughter’s wedding, allegedly causing a scene at the wedding, being M.I.A., and finally returning to treatment earlier this week, it appears Kim has lost her job as a full time Housewife on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
E! News reports that Kim will no longer be a full time Housewife for season six. However, according to sources connected to the show, it is still possible that Kim will return to the show for a cameo or a few appearances, but just not as a full time cast member.
Other sources believed that Kim’s return to treatment would be enough to keep her on the show, but that no longer seems to be the case.
“She’s doing OK, a lot better than she had been,” a source said about Kim returning to treatment, adding that Kim has been in a treatment center for a few days.
Last season, Kim’s sobriety became a central storyline as the other Housewives believed Kim had relapsed after taking a pain pill just before attending Eileen Davidson’s poker party. This later led to blowouts between Kim versus Eileen, Lisa Rinna, and even Kim’s sister Kyle Richards.
If Kim does come back to season six for cameo appearances, we could see her working on her broken relationship with Kyle or spending time with her friend Brandi Glanville.
The rest of the cast is yet to be confirmed, but most of the other women are expected to return.
Are you surprised Kim will no longer be a full time Housewife? How do you think this will affect her sobriety? Are you excited or sad that Kim will not be holding a diamond next season?
