The Real Housewives of New Jersey star recently revealed that she was battling breast cancer for the second time. Amber shared that she was to undergo surgery, and now her husband Jim Marchese is sharing an update on Amber’s situation.
Jim exclusively shared to E! News that Amber has successfully undergone a partial mastectomy to remove the cancer from her breast. Jim says, “The surgery was close to four hours. They removed the tumor and more than 20 millimeters surrounding it. She was in a good deal of pain last night, but she’s been resting and she’s coming home today. After this, she’ll have five weeks of radiation and then another surgery.”
Jim adds, “She’s really appreciative of everyone’s thoughts and prayers. She’ll be back on her feet in a few days. She’s going to keep going and keep fighting.”
The report also mentions that Jim is referring to the surgery as a partial mastectomy, since five years ago Amber had a full mastectomy when she was first diagnosed with breast cancer.
Sending our best to Amber!
