Real Housewives of Miami star Lisa Hochstein and her plastic surgeon husband Lenny Hochstein have been very open about their struggles with infertility. Lisa has long expressed how she wanted to be able to carry a baby herself, but after going through three miscarriages and four failed IVF attempts, surrogacy proved to be the best option for the Miami couple.
Lisa has exclusively confirmed the exciting baby news to Us Weekly saying, “It did not feel real, almost unbelievable. Although I was beyond excited and overjoyed, we did not want to get our hopes up too high until we passed the first trimester.”
Lisa opens up about their “last resort” option saying, “We felt that we tried almost every option available to us except surrogacy. Adoption was a consideration if this didn’t work.”
Lisa even reveals that the baby’s due date is on August 1st but that the baby could arrive sooner. She says, “The baby might be [born] on my birthday, which is July 24. That would be the best gift in the world!”
The couple who have been married for five years have yet to find out the sex of the baby, but Lisa dishes on a potential baby name, “We are thinking he or she should have a name beginning with the letter L so we would all have the same initials. How cute is that?!”
Lisa also states that it “was a difficult decision” to choose surrogacy, and expresses how she feels about becoming pregnant herself saying, “Hopefully in the future I will have this opportunity.”
Congratulations to Lisa and Lenny! We followed their journey through their infertility struggles and it is nice to know that they will soon be parents to a little baby. What a beautiful blessing!
Are you excited for baby Hochstein?! What do you think they should name their baby?
