Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice officially surrendered herself to prison at 3 a.m. yesterday to begin her 15-month sentencing for financial fraud at the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Conn.
In the first interview since Teresa checked in, Teresa’s lawyer James J. Leonard who is also her newest attorney and who has worked with the Gorga’s and Wakile’s gave his first interview. James reveals that the ride to Danbury took about 90 minutes and that the Giudices’ ate at a diner before reporting to prison. He says, “I think she was anxious to get in, get this thing started, get it behind her, and get back to her family. Her four girls are her primary focus.”
James adds that Teresa has been preparing for her time in prison by corresponding with recently released female prisoners from the Institution. She was advised to be friendly but guarded and to keep her head up!
Although Teresa is in prison, she seems to have a good plan as she is behind bars. According to the commissary list from Danbury Prison, Teresa will be bathing with Dove soap, while her food choices include hummus, macaroons, albacore tuna, cilantro cubes, Louisiana hot sauce, Deli meat, Oreos, Dove bars, Wild berry frozen yogurt, and more. Teresa also has access to MP3 players and can buy make-up as well as acne cream. Teresa will get to spend $320/a week and her family can add as much money to the account. I don’t know how the other prisoners will feel about that
