NeNe Leakes gave a video interview to Madame Noire this week and the Atlanta Housewife held nothing back! She sympathized with Phaedra and Porsha, slammed the new cast additions, and dusted her hands of Cynthia once and for all!
Let’s break it down, shall we?
First, NeNe teased the new season, “You’ll probably see me doing a lot of my businesses. I’m very much into being a businesswoman. That’s fulfills me more than anything. I love television, by the way. You know, I love acting and all those things but I have to say being a businesswoman really fulfills me.”
Then, she gave us some insight to the Phaedra and Apollo divorce:
“I think it’s unfortunate for Phaedra’s marriage to unravel on television. I went through a public divorce. So, I feel for Phaedra during this time.”
NeNe also revealed that her castmates were not supportive during her own divorce!
“People don’t know what she’s going through. I think you guys are going to be very surprised when you watch this season and you find out all the things that went on behind closed doors.” Cue the SHOCKING footage of a fight in the Apollo-Nida household – yikes!
Next, NeNe threw some shade at the new ladies. “It’s unfortunate that they would demote Porsha and give a new person who’s not even a Georgia Peach a peach. To me it just goes to show you, as long as you come on reality shows and act a big old fool, you could get a check. It may not be much, but you can get a check.” OUCH! Of course, she’s referring to Claudia Jordan, who originally hails from Rhode Island.
Last, NeNe responded to rumors that she and Cynthia may be able to put the past behind them and move forward. “No. You will not see me and Cynthia become friends again. Ever. What you will see, because I’m a grown woman, I can coexist. I think that friendship is done. There’s a certain thing called really crossing the line.”
The Atlanta ‘wife also spoke about why Marlo was never offered a spot on the show and discussed her “rich bitch” comment.
NeNe has really changed over the years. She seems so much more mature these days! I’m definitely looking forward to seeing what went down with her and Cynthia.
