The current season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey will end up to be one of its shortest in recent years, with only fourteen standard episodes. This is unusual compared to the last few seasons, which averaged around eighteen to twenty standard episodes. What is especially unusual about this season though, is that there have been so many scenes cut out that had already been featured in the original trailer and preview special. It’s like we know the footage exists, so why cut it? And now it’s not only fans that are noticing…Dina Manzo has taken to Twitter to vent her own frustrations with the editing!
Shortly after the last episode aired, Dina tweeted the following message:
Sad so much was cut out this season. Last few episodes feel rushed and pasted. My fav scenes were cut ????

Most notably, fans have been upset that the show did not include the cast trip to Atlantic City, as well as a heated argument between the twins and Amber at Teresa’s tasting event earlier in the season.
I agree with Dina. It does seem very patched together. There have been rumors that Bravo and producers had to scramble and re-edit the show not only because of its notable dip in ratings, but also because of Teresa and Joe Giudice’s legal drama. Perhaps the scenes they cut could have been damaging to her case?
What are your thoughts on the editing of RHONJ this year? Do you agree with Dina?
