The preservationists just won’t leave Real Housewives of Miami‘s Lisa and Lenny Hochstein be! The couple have been fighting against this board for months after they filed a petition prohibiting the Hochsteins from demolishing their purchased Star Island mansion, which is unstable and below the flood levels, because it is allegedly a historic building!
The Hochsteins seek to build a new house on the property, but the preservationists aren’t budging and want to convert it into a preserved, historic landmark. While filming RHOM, Lisa and Lenny hosted a gangster-themed party at the home. The home is said to be used in the Scarface movie, so the theme was fitting!
Lisa was joined by Joanna, Karent, Alexia, and Lea at the party which was filmed by Bravo. The preservationists are lashing out and their lawyer is saying, “With this party having occurred inside the potentially historically designated home, there is no credibility to the owner’s claim that the building is an unsafe structure that cannot be inhabited.”
The Miami Herald reports, “Leonard Hochstein said the party was held mostly outside and that the second floor was off-limits. He said only the balconies of the home are in immediate danger of falling.”
Karent Sierra captioned one of her photos on Instagram: “Gangster party at @lisahochstein Star Island tear down house with @therealjoannakrupa @romain_zago @lisahochstein“ Lenny comments, “I do believe that it is a tear-down house, but this wasn’t a tear-down party. When the house is torn down, I certainly will have a party.”
Lisa maintains that they own the home and can do whatever they please with it. She tells the Herald, “It’s really none of their business. It’s our house, we can do whatever we want. If we want to splatter paint and paint it purple or yellow, it’s our prerogative.”
Thoughts on the ladies’ looks?! It looks like Karent will be making some cameo appearances on the third season. Are you excited to see some of her on the show?
