How upsetting was it that their was no new episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey this past week? Sure the show stresses me out but I’m pretty much obsessed with it. RHONJ is like reality gold because although half of them act up for the camera, it’s all real! Check out this footage of Melissa explaining why she thinks its okay to wear shorts shorts after the jump!
Because Melissa has a sexy ass she thinks its cool to wear shorts shorts. Does that mean anything sexy someone might have, they have to flaunt it? More power to her but I personally think it’s not very classy to wear certain things like what Melissa wears in front of other husbands. Love how Teresa says Melissa needs to stop wearing Antonia’s clothes! Melissa does have a bangin body but she could probably take it a step back!

This show has been on for what, 4 years now? Caroline was never tiny during any part of it, and any picture she has of her being tiny look like they were taken YEARS ago. yes-or late if you don’t want to stand in a long line! However….it was kind of fun to stand in line cuz everyone there talked to one another and compared notes about the show and the HW’s. My line snaked thru the entire store, starting from the basement, but we got to walk in line right behind Tre, down and aisle, then back up to right in front of her, then back down another aisle and so forth, so there was a lot of Tre watching which was kind of fun too. If you have problems standing tho, definitely go late and join the end of the line when it’s shorter. Lot’s of women had come straight from work (nurses, waitresses etc) and they were VERY sore standing for the whole time. You will LOVE meeting her!!
I can’t wait. The store she’ll be at is a local book store. Not sure how big though. Thankfully I sit at work..lol. The standing will do me good.. Super excited!! I’m hoping my nerves don’t get the best of me…I’d like to get a picture!!

Stripper or not (and I really couldn’t care less if she was or not), a person who constantly needs outside reassurance is advertising that she has no sense of her own worth. The only way she can understand her own value is by hearing it validated by others. And what’s worse is that in Melissa’s case, she mistakenly puts her physical assets at the top of the list. As a result, not only does her sense of worth come entirely from outside sources but it is BASED entirely on her appearance.
That will all come crashing down one day when her looks fade and nobody is tossing out the compliments anymore. She will still have no sense of her own self worth, she’ll have nothing coming in from outside sources and she will have never developed anything more substantial on which to feel good about herself.

This goes back to something that I said a while ago. Melissa is tragic, to use Caroline’s words. She came from a home where she was the youngest and was doted on as the princess of the family, and then she lost her father when she was very young. That is a terrible thing to happen to any child, especially one who idolized and loved her father the way she did, or the way she perceived that her daddy loved her… Her self esteem and self worth is tied into ATTENTION from other men….which, to me, is very sad. Some day, maybe when she’s a little older and a little wiser she’ll see. Still, I think it’s very sad.
It is also a classic cause for Narcissistic Personality Disorder. Having constant, non-stop praise and not having it balanced out with realistic criticism will steer a person straight into the mindset that everyone worships them – including themselves.

I’m interested to find out what the ” SHOCKING decision” is that Lauren makes ” regarding her weight loss “. At this point in the season, we already know she hates her herself, mostly due to her weight ( mother’s favoritism toward brothers ); we already know she went on a diet; we already know it’s difficult for her. Such a ridiculous argument! Teresa’s shorts were longer by millimeters…MAYBE and super tight! So sad to see so many women calling someone a HO for wearing short shorts.
If Teresa says that she wants her family back how exactly does tearing Melissa apart help that? It would be far more supportive to Teresa to embrace her brother and SIL rather than call them names and encourage the fighting!
I would say that its a good idea for ALL three to embrace each other. Why does it have to always fall on Teresa? This drama goes both ways. If I had a brother, who is a grown man call me disgusting names like he did to Teresa, he would have no teeth in his mouth! I have said that before, I think it would be the last time he talked. No excuse for Joe Gorga to talk to her that way. I have not seen much maturity from the Gorga camp to actually change the situation. I never hear Teresa say anything negative until those 2 trash her along with the rest of the crew. Thats not very nice or family like is it? And do you notice its on camera when they do it? Or blogs, or interviews? Frankly at this point none of them should talk to each other. Maybe absence will make the hearts grow fonder? People trash Mel because that is what people are seeing with her = Trash. I am respecting your opinion here, but there are reasons people think Melissa is a Ho. No one calls the other ladies Hoes do they? Because there may just be something to that….

I thought it was a funny comment that Teresa said Melissa has to stop wearing Antonia’s clothes. It was funny. Sure it was tongue and cheek. It also was what most people were thinking.
Jennifer: I thought the comment was funny too! It would have definitely been something one of our family members of friends would have said at such an event but unlike the show we would be saying it in a funny manner to the actual person wearing them, not a camera. And it would not have been a big deal whatsoever. Move on & have fun.

The cut of Teresa’s shorts were different. Melissa’s shorts were shorter and wider so that her butt checks and other body parts were exposed; Teresa’s were tight on her thighs so that nothing was hanging out. Someone here described it perfectly – Melissa was wearing cooch cutters.
Melissa shorts are like 3 inches shorter than Teresa’s. Plus Mel’s shorts are body hugging. Mel should have worn a thong and be done with it she let’s it all hang out. IMO.
Any man who is in love would not appreciate his lady flaunting her bits at a family do… If The Stump is okay with The Hoe wagging her cameltoe that is possesive, not love.
I know this post was about Melissa and her short shorts. But I just have to add that to me Richie is the most obnoxious and mean-spirited person on the show. They can excuse it all they want when he talks about Tre. He’s just a kidder…he’s just a smart-ass…whatever. He’s just a jerk and a bully that likes to likes to jump on the hate Tre bandwagon. Nothing clever, snappy, or funny about that.
