Vicki Feels Disgusted After Tuesday’s Episode Of RHOC And Gretchen Says Vicki Is A Hypocrite
Finally. Drama is spreading with the RHOC ladies and Tuesday’s episode was extremely intense! Gretchen and Vicki blogged about the episode and Vicki admits she was disgusted with her behavior while Gretchen calls Vicki out for being a hypocrite! Vicki shockingly sticks up for Alexis while Gretchen failed to do so on the episode plus says Alexis was insecure and defensive! Both blogs are a bit longer then usual but the read is totally worth it!
Vicki Gunvalson says, “My thought on the never-ending bunco episode is “true embarrassment.” Am I disgusted at myself and how I lost my temper with Gretchen and Slade? One word — absolutely! I felt, after watching this week’s episode, Gretchen and Slade were both just trying to make a case for their innocence for Slade’s past child support issues. Fact is, once they found out that Brooks had been arrested for back child support several years ago, they felt it was a way to make Slade look better or equal by bringing Brooks into it. Instead of questioning Brooks directly, they decided to attack me when I was most vulnerable and going through a very rough time in my life. I guess the saying that some people love kicking you when your down is true with Slade. Class, Integrity, and character are something you cannot buy or wish for. . .you either have it or you don’t and for Slade to do what he did in front of 300 people was disgusting and made me very sad. The issue with Slade and myself stems back all the way to Season 1 seven years ago when he was dating Jo. He lied about dating Lauri after Jo and him broke up, and he treated all the ladies like we were second class citizens or beneath him. I have kept trying to see the “good” in Slade and move on, however he just keeps stirring things up. Why does he continue to stir up trouble? What other man does that to women?When Tamra and I called Slade a deadbeat dad several years ago, it was because of him bashing us on and off camera and it was our way of getting back to him where it hurt. Brooks has never, nor would he ever, verbally attack a woman. . .EVER. One word comes to mind that I think Slade should consider is — chivalry. Where I come from and how I was raised, men are to treat women with respect and class. This is something Slade doesn’t seem to be able to do. You either have it or you don’t. Slade you might want to take some lessons from Brooks, Jim, Eddie, Terry, and the previous male RHOC-ers who have never verbally attacked a women. I really think he thrives on the drama so he gets more airtime. This season the ladies tend to gang up on Alexis for no reason. She clearly admitted on getting her nose fixed when the sinus surgery was being done, so therefore I don’t know why they continued with the conversation. It’s like some of them just sit there and figure out ways to belittle and hurt people. I hated that for Alexis because no one defended her, which was wrong. If Gretchen were a true friend, she would have done that. It was nice seeing Briana and Donn having a beer with each other at her home. I’m so proud of Briana that she has realized how important it is to have a relationship with Donn. If there is one good thing that has come from our separation is that as they were not previously close and now they are. It’s definitely hard seeing them joke, laugh, and have fun together — it reminds me of the good times we all had together as a family and makes me sad. Hearing Gretchen and Briana both say, “things tend to turn out to be about Vicki” was hurtful. I would never ignore other people’s feelings or concerns, nor can I ignore my own. I am a very emotional and passionate person and when it comes to my children or my family’s health I’m even more so. Briana has been sick for over three years with no real diagnosis, so the decision to go ahead to have her thyroid removed was a very emotional one. Once that vital organ is removed from your body, there is no turning back. The thought of Briana having cancer terrified me. She has so much life ahead of her, and I don’t want this to be something that she had to endure right now. I don’t know of any other parent who wouldn’t feel the same way as I did.”
Gretchen Rossi started her blog off by saying, “Whoa! This was quite the episode! Such an emotional roller coaster ride! Obviously a lot comes to a head in this episode, so please forgive me in advance if my blog is long. As I said in my last blog, this was the night that completely changed the dynamic of the group. As most of you know this fight between Vicki and I has been three years in the making. Obviously I am beyond upset in this episode, and I apologize for so many bad words being used. I hate seeing myself get pushed to that place. Many of you have messaged me that you understand why, that I had every reason to be so upset, and that I should have done this a long time ago with some of these woman. I appreciate that, but I still am disappointed that I allowed her to get me to that point. Vicki started it all a few years back by claiming Slade was a deadbeat dad for the same exact reason her own boyfriend actually went to jail. . .for falling behind on child support. Please take notice that Slade has never gone to jail for this issue, which proves that Slade has always made some sort of payment. You don’t go to jail unless you just completely stop paying and don’t care. I will once again state the facts and the truth here: Slade has always paid something; unfortunately after he hit hard financial times (once his son got sick and the economy went to hell) he could no longer make the same large payments based off a much higher salary. Slade went to court and filed a modification three years ago. Unfortunately the media likes to perpetuate lies, and obviously so do some of my cast members. Gratefully after three years of fighting with his ex in court, the court granted his modification just a few weeks ago to match his current income. Slade is working very hard to catch up on any back debt that is outstanding based on the arrears being adjusted from the modification. Moreso he refuses to allow me to help him with it — something I greatly respect him for.
And just for the record Slade does have a job, even though these women want to continue to say he doesn’t. Slade does NOT work for me and never has! He has simply helped me with my businesses as any good partner would! Goes again to prove they have no clue as to what they are talking about. Ironic thing is Vicki literally says in this episode “everyone falls behind sometimes”? Well if that is the case then why would she automatically claim that Slade is a deadbeat father but that didn’t apply to her boyfriend? Bottom line Vicki’s rules apply to everyone but herself. She is what you call a hypocrite. Correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t even her own daughter call her out on this (on the way to surgery) “Nothing is ever about anyone else but my mom.” Who I am as a person is inclined to feel sorry for Vicki and whatever she is going through at that time, however a person can only cry wolf so many times before you no longer believe them or feel sorry for them. I have noticed that whenever Vicki is going through a hard time we are all suppose to stop and feel sorry for her, but low and behold if anyone else is dealing with a sick child (Slade) or a sick fiancé (me) or something difficult, it doesn’t seem to matter to her or what she says about them. This fight starts because Vicki says “you think it’s funny to make fun of someone?” I was like is she kidding me? Slade made the very valid point that Vicki made fun of Jim by calling him a “smelly troll” and called Alexis “white trash.” Then she says it’s not the same thing to call someone ugly versus calling someone a deadbeat dad! She is absolutely right! It’s not the same thing. Slade stating that the news references that she looks like Miss Piggy at a comedy club meant for comedy is completely different then claiming Slade does not care for his child and is a bad father on a international television show meant to bully, attack and challenge his character as a parent. Once again it’s OK for her to make statements about other’s looks or character but when someone dishes it back to her, she says “how dare them”? That’s BULL HONKEY if you ask me! Isn’t the saying do onto others as you would like them to do unto you? Well honey that statement just came true for you! I also found it hilarious when Vicki was so upset about the 300 people at the Improv that Slade made a joke about Vicki too. I literally wanted to scream “Really!!! What about the 380 million viewers worldwide that you said something to about Slade and his character as a father?” Sometimes I just wonder where this woman gets off saying these kinds of things. The underlying part of this fight was her claiming we had no clue what it is like to have a sick child. She was claiming this because of what she was currently dealing with Brianna. What is it with these women that they think just because I haven’t popped out a kid between my own two legs, I have no clue what it is like to be concerned about a child? Last time I checked Slade’s son has been sick for close to seven years now, and I have now had to embrace that fight with him for the last three. For her to say “I have no clue what it is like to have a sick child” made me crazy and almost want to jump across the table at her!!! Yes Slade’s youngest son, who is terminally ill, is not my biological child, but by any means that does not make it less painful, sad, or hard for me. I mean is she saying that all parents who adopt a child or are step parents have no clue what it is like to have a child and love them as much as she does? That is just ludicrous and makes her sound unintelligible and selfish.
I could go on and on about the crazy that unfolded here, but I think I summed it up pretty clearly in my interview when I said, “You cannot expect to talk so much crap, bully someone for years and years, make up lies on an international platform about someone, and then be surprised when they say enough is enough and fight back, life does not work like that!” A lot of you have been asking why I am not as mad at Tamra as I am at Vicki, because of what Tamra said last season (and especially at the reunion) about Slade. Well here is the main difference between the two of them. Tamra certainly knows how to dish it out, but she can take it too. You didn’t hear her crying and saying “How dare Slade?” because she knew she has dished it out to him as well. She knew last season after the reunion that she had swung some pretty hard punches, and she even said she was sorry she went there and that she shouldn’t have been talking about things she knew nothing about at our first lunch together this season. So the difference to me is Tamra has grown as a person. She has seen where she contributed to the situation and owns it, and does not make excuses for it. I value that, and that is part of the reason I have been able to move on with her. Now this brings us into the next saga of the night: Alexis and her nose surgery. Tamra and I were talking about her going into surgery on Monday for her breast reduction (the bunko party was on Saturday night) that’s when I said “oh that’s funny Lex is going into surgery on Monday too.” Then Tamra said for what? I said for her sinuses, and Tamra said you mean for a nose job, and I said, “Well I think she is also getting the bump taken off, but she is going in for her sinuses.” Tamra then came to her own conclusions that Alexis was not being 100 percent honest and wasn’t owning that she was getting a nose job as well. As you saw, I kept confirming with Tamra differently. This is when all hell broke loose. I could not believe the fight that ensued. It was crazy! I mean for goodness sake’s were we really fighting about a nose job? How ridiculous was that? To me Alexis became very insecure and defensive. However I didn’t think it was appropriate for Tamra to say her nose was big (therefore I kicked her under the table signaling that she needed to back down). Now remember I just had the most emotional and crazy fight with Vicki, and I certainly did not want to get into any more fights that night, so I allowed Alexis, Tamra, Heather, and Terry to fight it out (and for the record Terry did not know we were discussing Alexis’ sinuses) I already communicated to Tamra several times that it wasn’t just a nose job, so I know I defended Alexis. Then Alexis stepped in and was handling herself just fine, at that point it was her fight to fight not mine. Unfortunately, this is the night the dynamic between Alexis and I changed. I was very hurt by her actions towards me. She started accusing me of not having her back. I tried to tell her 80 times that I told Tamra she was having her sinuses done, even as Tamra keep saying you’re lying, but Alexis just did not want to believe it. I couldn’t understand why? After she continued to berate me about this in the limo, I realized this was not about me at all because not only did I defend her with Tamra but I also have never given her a reason to believe differently up to this point. Peggy was the friend who gave her reason to doubt if she had her back, not me. I felt like just because I had now become friends with Tamra, Alexis automatically thought I had turned on her, like Alexis believed Peggy did when she became friends with Tamra. That was hurtful. My friendship with Tamra had nothing to do with my friendship with Alexis, and I would never allow Tamra to influence my feelings towards Alexis. Alexis’ own actions towards me are what changed my feelings. What I find most ironic about Alexis being so upset with me is that she sat there completely silent while I was in a fight with Vicki. Why is it that I had to get in the middle of her fight with Tamra but she could sit silent in my fight with Vicki? I know for a fact that Alexis thought Vicki was being hypocritical because we had talked about it several times, so why wasn’t she standing up to Vicki and having my back? I actually stood up for Alexis to Tamra! Alexis also says this episode that she has always had my back when it came to Tamra. I must be missing something here. I never felt like when she would say “Tamra has good points and you have good points” that she was really having my back. That was more of staying neutral and not getting involved. So when I decide to try Alexis’ method this time and stay neutral I’m all of a sudden not having her back? I felt like I couldn’t win here. Here’s what I know for sure. If a friend asked me to not tell anyone about their surgery or whatever else they wanted to keep between me and them then I would never go back on that. I would always have their back and keep whatever they wanted private, private. That’s what friends do. Just because we are on TV doesn’t mean we have to share things we would rather keep private. However that was not the situation here, Alexis chose to have her operation filmed for the world to see and she has only talked about wanting to have a nose job in the past with us girls and on screen. It sucks that she is being scrutinized for her reasons now, however in all fairness to everyone questioning her she has never talked about her sinuses, even to me, until a few months before the surgery. Obviously it was very sad to see Vicki having to take her daughter into surgery not knowing what the outcome was going to be. That is the worst feeling in the world that I do not wish that upon anyone. Slade has had to see his young child go into open brain surgery 11 different times. It is not a good feeling wondering if they are going to wake up better or worse. I empathize with what Vicki was going through with her daughter even though I don’t have any children of my own, because no matter whom it is, if it is someone you love it is scary and painful. I was in the room with the doctor when Jeff was diagnosed with cancer, I was his full time caretaker administering meds, take care of his pick line, and sitting by his hospital bed on a daily basis for nine months, and I had him die in my arms. NO ONE can tell me I have no idea what it is like”
Here’s my take. I feel like Gretchen spends a lot of her time sticking up for Slade and I find it unnessessary. She doesn’t owe anyone an explanation when it comes to him and if she wants to be with him, so be it. Stop trying so hard to make others like him. It’s not working! In Gretchens blog, Gretchen explains the difference on why she is more mad at Vicki then she is with Tamra because of what they said last season about Slade. To me, it doesn’t make sense. Her reason is really just…stupid. The reason Tamra wasn’t that upset with what Slade said at the comedy act is because Gretchen and Tamra are BFFs and Tamra is obviously loving the friendship they got going and doesn’t want to ruin it by making nothing into a big deal. Vicki on the other hand, isn’t really friends with Gretchen. Therefore it’s a big deal for her. If Tamra wasn’t friends with Gretchen and Slade did the comedy act, do you honestly believe that Tamra would have been okay with it? UH NO! Gretchen did make some interesting points on why she didn’t have Alexis back. Thoughts? Team Gretchen? Team Vicki? Who was in the wrong? Do you think Gretchen should have had Alexis back?

I cannot believe I’m saying this but I’m Team Gretchen on this one… I think Vicki is a big old hypocrite, she is full of double standards… I don’t think Gretchen should always be defending Slade, but I understand why she does it… Vicki had to try and deflect again tonight, she was on WWHL and said well Slade has been arrested for not paying child support too… Gretchen tweeted that was false and Vicki sat there all smug and said google it… It’s crazy sometimes, I mean Vicki is middle aged for cryin’ out loud… So I think Vicki is a hypocrite, plus what was up with her trying to defend making Briana’s illness all about her… She kept saying you’ll know what its like when you’re a mother… Well I am a mother and I don’t get it… It’s normal to be worried and scared for your children, but Briana is the one that might have cancer, not Vicki… I don’t think it would kill her to show a little compassion, especially for her own daughter…

I think they were mean to Alexis. They left her husband out so she was there alone and then they started talking about her while she was sitting right there. Gretchen can try to whitewash it all she wants but she was smiling and holding back laughter. A good friend would have not let her sit alone to begin with.
And, it is true that Slade was arrested in 2009. Gretchen claims he was arrested for not showing up to the hearing so technically he wasn’t arrested for not paying his child support. But, the reality is that the hearing was about him not paying the child support. He probably didn’t show up because he didn’t have the money and didnt want to be arrested right then.
Vicki was not right for the double standards but Gretchen needs to quit getting so over the top crazy about it herself. Bottom line both Brooks and Slade were in the wrong and the women need to quit defending them by screaming at each other. Geesh, why do women do that to each other?

that was explained. Brooks had financial issues that have since been corrected and is now caught up and all is well. Slade on the other hand CHOOSES not to. He lives and thrives off Gretchen and that’s disqusting!! He should be beating down doors, busting his butt to have a well paying job rather than be on a reality show so he can TRY to be famous! I’m not saying Vicki shouldn’t be saying anything to Gretchen or vice versa, I’m saying that the men need to reflect and apparently brooks did and also did the right thing, did slade? NO! I’ve been on both sides of this fence receiving and sending out with my husband now. Everyone can fall on hard times and as a other my journey was to make sure that my child’s relationship with her father was way more important. Putting the man in jail doesn’t always make that the right thing to do. However that also doesn’t give them a pass. If women would attempt to work through support with each other instead of reacting with anger, then less problems would happen. Also that goes both ways. A man has an obligation to support his children and show them no matter what happens between the parents it doesn’t affect their relationship with their children. If the father falls on hard times, help them get through it instead of using the court systems. But if you have a spouse that is just a JERK and refuses to work and support the children that’s when YES by all means NAIL THE TO THE WALL!! I am now receiving back support. My child is grown and has children. But she knows without a doubt that BOTH of us love her. My ex went through serious dark times, drug addictions etc. But I knew he didn’t have it and i worked so she NEVER went without. I fought with him on many occasions but that doesn’t do anything. The state jumped in and TOOK it. I know many men and women who have to pay support, but in today’s economy things are bad financially.people are losing jobs left and right and can no longer pay what they use to. THATS understandable. Thatsnwhen the parents need to sit down and try to work it out. But in this case people, lets look at the source, SLIMY SNAKE SLADE! He isn’t even TRYING to work. Oh wait that’s right he manages Gretchen and is on the show. Omg he is the very reason we have women that have to fight for support. I could see after him losing his job in real estate that he would try to get it lowered but seriously HE DOESNT EVEN TRY TO GET A JOBBBBBBB! He is a leech and i pity Gretchen if they evr decide to have kids.

Tonight on wwhl, Vicki said slade went to jail and Gretchen tweeted during the show Vicki was lying. Here’s the link reporting the jail time in 2009. So Vicki wasn’t lying tonight. And looks and actions are two different things to judge. It is clear that slade has nothing on Vicki in terms of moey, success, etc, so he had to go after her looks. It’s pathetic. He’s been on the show 7 years now, and bragged about a black Amex now resorts to demeaning women on national tv. Anyone one who sticks up for him is disgusting. Idc how wrong it was of vicki to talk about his money issues, his money are a direct result of his own doings. Gretchen would never call anyone ugly, but is man would. Slade is a disgusting individual and bravo is really messed up for putting Vicki in the line of fire of this mans jokes to get some ratings. I wouldn’t be surprised if they lost the og of the oc come next season bc of this.

I totally agree. Slade is trashy and so is Gretchen. They are both lying opportunists and deserve each other. As far as I remember, Slade was already a deadbeat when he and Greedy Gretch hooked up, she was WELL aware of this. I hardly think that Vicki knew beforehand about Brook’s finances.
What a phoney friend Gretchen is to start talking sh!t about Alexis and her surgery, in the same room at the next table. I’ve had NUMEROUS surgeries (non-elective) and it never gets easier. As far as the creepy, UGLY Dubrows–they are delusional to sit and criticize anyone about cosmetic surgery, when in fact, their ENTIRE livelihood depends on people being dis-satisfied with their looks and wanting an improvement. As far as that “brain lift” comment Grinch face Heather made, she’s not as intelligent as she thinks she is, or tries to pretend to be.
Women are so jealous of each other. Why is it impossible to be happy for each other and proud of their choices, instead of tearing each other down?
Vickie said last night when she was on the bench talking to Tamra outside the party, that she knew all about Brooks situation BEFORE they started dating.
And I also think that the reason Alexis didn’t speak up during the screeching between Slade, Gretchen and Vicki was that she has manners and class–something the majority of these individuals are completely devoid of.
You’re right Alexis didn’t speak up because Alexis had no business being involved. The Slade/Vicki feud goes back to when Slade dated Jo, then Laurie then Jo again and lied about it. Vicki was very close with Laurie so she is going to defend her friend. Which eventually lead to Vicki (and Tamra) investigating Slade and finding out about his money/child support issues.
And although Alexis didn’t speak up, she was chomping at the bit to say something that night and you can tell and Heather even mentioned it. Alexis was pissed Tamra didn’t invite Jim even though it was Tamra’s party and she is allowed to invite or not invite whoever she wants. It’s clear from the start of this season that Alexis does not like Tamra, and Tamra isn’t stupid to think Alexis does like her, so Tamra had no reason to invite Jim. Also, Jim has made it 100% clear he does not want to film when all of the women are together and Alexis and the rest of them knew damn well this party was going to be filmed, so why she got all pissed is beyond me. She was just looking for extra camera time in my opinion.

I haven’t watched the show yet because I’ve been so busy with work, cleaning, and cooking for my family, but from some of the sentences I read… Wow! Gretchen writes the longest blogs ever! I stopped reading after like 10 sentences, and just read Roxy’s opinions on this. I do agree with what Roxy is saying.
Gretchen needs to stop defending Slade’s actions, and try to change everyone’s opinions about him because no matter how many times Gretchen backs him up and says what a great man he is and how he pays for child support and whatever else, he is still a piece of shi* in my eyes for not being the man and the father Grayson REALLY NEEDS in his life. All Slade does is talk crap about the other women behind their backs, and his little girl act needs to go. He’s a man right? Does this child’s mother work? What is she doing to help care for her son? Slade should pay absolutley but it’s her child too, or is she a “house wife” without a show? Just curious?
I wantt to know how all these people telling Slade to spend time with his son knows that he doesnt. This season was filmed months ago and we only see a edited down one hour of a 24 hr day, or sometimes a couple of days. So just because bravo chose not to show him doing that doesnt mean he doesnt. We the viewer just dont know, so I find it weird when people comment on things they dont know if its true or not. Graysons mother could not want him on tv so we will never know if he does or not. I just dont like it when people say stuff about things just because they didnt see it on tv. They have no idea what goes on behind closed doors.

TEAM GRETCHEN !! She make’s very valid point’s in her blog. I didn’t know Slade had a child that is terminally ill , how sad . Vicki had to know that when she made that comment. Vicki is a pos imo , i’ve never liked her and I agree that Vicki ALWAY’S want’s everything to be about her , she expect’s everyone to have compassion for her but she has none for other’s , it’s sickening. She doesn’t even mention Slades sick son in her blog. When I found out Vicki was dating deadbeat Brooks I knew that was gonna come back and bite her lol. Vickie doesn’t care who or what she talks about until the shoe is on the other foot and people call her out on her character or lack of. She is an ugly human, the ugliness on the inside is coming out on the outside she does look like a miserable troll, the Miss Piggy thing as a compliment.
Anyone notice DR. Dubrow was wrong about where the sinues(sp?) were. Alexis’s doctor drew circles underneath her eyes to the left and right of her nose. Whereas DR. Dubrow was pointing up towards the corner of his eyes. I thought it was hilarious and Alexis points the same thing out in her blog.

Well someone needs to clear this situation up, because while I’m sure the doc probably knows where they are if he thought about it he pointed to the wrong spot on his face. I have heard other people say the sinuses are on both sides of the nose but I’m not a doctor…I’m in criminal justice so if he was right then ok we can lay off the doc. But if he was wrong, man o man that is funny.
I have to say, I find them all a little silly. That being said, I wonder if Slade needs to keep his income down so his child could be eligible for State or Federal disability. A child can be eligible for SSI(Federal program) but based on income of parents. Not sure how CA State Benefits work. I do feel sorry for Grayson. no child should have to suffer from illness like he seems to have. As far as Tamra, I find it kind of funny how she can get over her fued with Gretchen, but seems to really hate Alexis now, as they were once friends. I find Alexis to be a pain, but I do not really understand Tamra hate of her, unless Alexis and Jim are Team Simon. But I do think Tamra is not really showing her true colors. Regards to Vicki, I do not understand her reasoning of how one dead beat dad is better then the other. Working years in Social Services, I saw a lot of crazy situtions. I kind of find Brooks more of a deadbeat. He has two children with two different mom’s. You do not move on to a new family if you cannot take care of the first one, I feel. Plus, his children do not seem to have any major health problems. As a mom with a sick child, it is costly—sad to say, but it does cause a hardship many others do not understand.

Slade was ne ver behind on his child support. The dispute was due to medical bills regarding his child’s illness, that medical insurance did not pay. Only the ladies of Beverly Hills could afford his son’s expense. He was not in jail for not paying child support. He clearly states he pays more then he should. PS He does marketing consulting and Verizon was one of his customers.
go back and watch season 1 (it’s pretty sad that I can even say that about a man, considering he never dated Vicki and she’s the only one left from season 1). he had a black amex. Clearly, he WAS able to afford it. He bragged about his money. He bought Jo her car. He had money, and then he blew it all. So to say he can’t afford the surgery is incorrect, he was able to, and spent his money elsewhere it seems.

I’ve watched the OC since day one, and I have never gotten a clearer picture of Vicki than I did watching last night’s episode. She is truly one self-centered, selfish person! She keeps saying she is worried about Brianna’s health-NOT for Brianna’s sake, but for HER OWN. She says she is worried about her child having a serious disease because of how hard it is for VICKI, not Brianna! The three years that Brianna has been going thru this have been harder on Bri than on Vicki I’m sure, but oh no, Vicki has to tell us all that we don’t know what it’s like! What a load of CRAP. I feel so sorry for Brianna that she can’t find support from her own mother, while she’s dealing with her fears and her reality-the poor girl can’t even mention cancer (which was a real possibility) without her mother devolving into a pool of mush. Vicki, if you can’t support Brianna, then at least shut the hell up while you’re driving her to surgery!! I don’t blame Bri for eloping and getting away from Vicki as fast as she could.
As for Gretchen? She has never been a favorite of mine, but she is 100% spot on in all this Vicki BS. And in all the Alexis BS. Alexis and Vicki should become BFF’s because they are the same person-both self centered, selfish, vapid, hypocrites who deserve each other. I would LOVE to see them one up each other, while not owning their own part in any drama
Vicki is completely wrong. She’s a hypocrite, self-absorbed bully. Everything has to be about her — even her daughter’s surgery! “I don’t know how I’m going to make it through this!” OMG, your daughter has to have cancer surgery, can you POSSIBLY spend a few minutes consoling HER about HER feelings? ! Even Brianna said it’s “always all about my mom”. Vicki could have left the party, when she went out on the porch, but you know what? Then she wouldn’t be the center of attention! So she HAD to go back and keep stirring the pot because that way all eyes are on her. Vicki if all these people, including your own daughter, think you are self absorbed and selfish…don’t you think it’s time to explore the possibility that you are indeed, self absorbed and selfish and you need to change?
Oh, and Alexis? You’re not “a very intelligent woman.” No you’re not. I have socks with higher IQs.

1) On the comedy angle, there is a difference between making fun of immutable characteristics like one’s looks and making fun of someone’s actions. The first is low comedy and only cheap comics do it. The second makes more better comedy. If Slade really wants a career in comedy, he needs to learn the difference and not go for cheap shots.
2) Generally people do not go to jail for nonpayment of child support if the courts think they honestly do not have the money and believe that they are doing what they can. They are more likely to be jailed when they have plenty of money to pay and simply refuse because they are selfish jerks abandoning their responsibilities. Jail is used to shake the money loose and coerce them into coughing it up. I think the latter is worse. We can all understand someone making less money, but having the money and not paying is incomprehensible. I do not know for a fact that Brooks had the money, but it sure seems to be so since Vicki said he then paid and got it cleared up. If her description of events is accurate, Brooks is far more of a deadbeat dad than Slade.
3. Vicki is so self-involved that she cannot even be a good support for her daughter, instead needing her daughter to comfort her and be the source of strength. This reminds me of a sister-in-law who at the funeral of my sister’s husband wondered why everyone was comforting my sister and their children instead of recognizing how painful this was for her. It turned out she suffered from Munchausen’s (not the Muchausen’s by proxy that you see in tv shows) and yes, everything was a drama about her. When Brianna’s possible cancer and illness had Vicki whining to Brianna!!! of all people about how hard it was on her, I felt sickened. Thankfully, Brianna has a good head on her shoulders (probably from Donn’s influence) and seems to know her mother loves her despite Vicki’s inability to listen, provide comfort and be a strong support for her.
Vicki is a hypocrite and total downer no matter what is going on. She dishes it but cannot take it. She is such a bore and I wish she would just stick to her insurance business. It suits her better than TV because she does look like a piggy and Miss Piggy was there first.
Vicki is a hypocrite, but I don’t know why I still have a soft spot for her. LOL. Brooks went to jail for falling behind on his child support while he was still working and having financial problems. Slade, on the other hand, fell behind on child support because he DIDN’T have a job. That’s the difference. Instead of being on reality TV where he’s not getting paid and being Gretchen’s little bitch, Slade could have easily gone out and gotten a job to support his kid. Except he didn’t until recently.
I think its interesting how everyone seems to be attacking Vicki. Its sad that this woman has built herself up and made a success of herself only to be judged so harsely for being a person who shows feelings different than them. So many people would rather judge her than the root of the problem, SLIMY SLADE. It disgusts me that people would try and take down someone. Um, does anyone remember Jeff and how Gretchen treated him? That was horrific. But everyone is always raggin on Vicki. Everyone is I titled to their opinion true but how about looking at everything and not just Vicki! I’ve loved this show from the beginning and personally I admire Vicki. She is what most women have fought to be. She made herself. She didn’t have to be with a man who was sick and dying to make it in this world. I am trying to like Gretchen because she truly is trying to do the same thing but I her people saying how smart she is and independent but that’s only cause I feel she slept her way there.
