The Gorgas Selling Their Home And Shore House Plus Exclusive Documents
Well well well. Isn’t this just interesting? ‘I pay my bills’ Melissa Gorga and hubby Joe Gorga have put their home on the market once again! And that’s not all! They also are selling their shore house! The beautiful mansion will cost you $3,800,000 while the shore house is selling for $520,000!
Joe Gorga tells US weekly, “We tried Montville, but it just wasn’t for us. We want to go back to Franklin Lakes, which is closer to where I work, and we’re looking at a couple of properties now.” Melissa adds, “I absolutely love our current house and will be sad to leave, but Joe is an incredible builder, so I have no doubt that I’ll love the next house just as much. Although this is the last time he is getting me to pack-up”
I smell a bunch of BS! Why create a studio for your wife when you are planning on selling the house? Just doesn’t add up! And why sell the shore house as well? Are the Gorgas having money trouble? It seems like it! I looked into the Gorgas and their beautiful home and found some interesting documents and information from their property. It seems as if Joe and Melissa took out a construction loan on their house. The loan was for $2,500,000. A construction loan is supposed to be for builders/contractors to get loans to build houses in order to sell them, not live in them. They tried selling the house but couldn’t. Once Bravo started considering them for the show, they moved into it. In one of the documents (photoed below) they sold the property for one dollar from being owned solely by Joe to being owned by both Melissa and Joe. There are also two liens against the property from 2008. In April of 2011, Joe and Melissa got a loan modification-they were due to pay a lump sum of $2,500,000 but got the bill to a monthly payment. It appears that they have a large payment due this month! It looks like their monthly payment is $11,829.40 and the taxes on the house are a whopping $56,000 a year.

This information has been around since Melissa joined the show. It’s further proof of Melissa’s lies. Remember how she bragged on the first episode that Joe surprised her with the plans of her 15,000 sq feet dream house? Another lie: according to the original listing, the house is 13,500 sq ft, not 15,000. They tried selling it for $4.1 and eventually $3.4 million before they took it off the market and moved into it. I really don’t think they’re going to get $3.8 now.

They cant move to LA without cleaning up their mess in NJ. Plus Joey doesnt stand a chance in hell of being a contractor/Builder in CA. The building laws and codes are much more serious and he cant depend on Melissa to take these classes and teach him all he would need to know because she will be busy touring with her two top 10 R &B singles. Lisa NJ is strict with codes and such but they dont have earthquake, hurricane, forrest fires or Mud slides. You know what i mean? They have more to deal with and its much more strict.
I think it’s Joe Gorga and Melissa big time. For one why all of a sudden throw all their property on the market to sell. One person on the next story said that she might be moving to LA, no she’s not. For one her music sucks and even her producer was caught on mike saying “absoulutely not” to her trying to sing 3 more ballads. She only sounded good once he started instrumenting her voice, pure and simple. Another thing, Bravo has her little tight but and midget Joe for another 2 season at least, and if they do go they can’t do any shows or programs because of the non-competition clause in their contracts since they are still legally Bravo property, and they still will have to share money to Bravo from their ventures.
As stated Joe got a construction loan for 2.5 maybe 2.3 million dollars and the balloon payment was coming due this June. It was said last year that the construction loan was converted to a mortgage for 15,000 a month, do anybody have links to documents or anything stating they did that or the bank said no way. Because it’s awfully convienent that they are trying to sell this house and the beach shore house before this deadline. In fact they are trying to sell it at 3.8 million a couple of hundred thousand under the 2009 attempt which was 4.1 million. The house on another realestate webpage was valued in that area for this time at 1.56 million, well below their loan they owe. Essentially they will have to short sale big time, if it’s even allowed in a construction loan.
And I also think that Melissa is setting him and Teresa up for the big split or divorce, because guess what he has no money. And add to the fact that he may be looking at major issues with his properties if people who worked for him (and put their name out on the articles) are correct, and that is he left asbestos and other dangerous stuff in his construction or renovation of those buildings that people are living in. If so not only is he facing federal and state fines along with lawsuits from the people who live there, he could be facing prison time also. Hell he might be sharing a cell with Barney Devito (Joe Giudice).
That home WILL be a short sale! They can’t make the payments!!!

There was always talk that that house was a model home that they decided to live in for the show and they had a balloon payment … who believed that they would make that payment? Too bad Melissa isn’t smart and talented like Teresa … Melissa and Joe are going to be in a ishload of trouble. Serves the little biatch right … well both of the little biatches (her and little Joe). Too bad about the little ones … maybe Auntie Teresa will let them come and stay with her while Joe and Mel find an apartment.

The house is beautiful on the outside but they wont get half what they are asking for it. Also, the home beside theirs, is worth less but is more beautiful plus has pool and a driveway thats big enough for such a house. Joey may have built a beautiful home but he overlooked some important details.. Narrow halls, single driveway for a Mansion with a 5 car garage? NO WAY!

Perhaps the MLS listing was prior to their building the recording studio. There seems to be no mention of it & while space is limited in the listing you’d think it would be a major feature.
I read somewhere that the recording studio is the property of Bravo and “if they move the must dismantle it”. Rox could check into that. Of course that would be the reason why it isn’t listed with the home.
The basement is listed as unfinished, therefore they can not include the recording studio. I did read somewhere also that Bravo installed the studio, so I guess they are going to remove it. Another lie out of these two idiots. It never ends.

I hope you find Joe’s police record. I’ve read that the girl was pressured into droppping the charges. The only way there would be a record is if he were acutally arrested. If he was simply questioned, I don’t think they’ll be a record. Of all of the allegations against these two – that one sickens me the most.

MeHo said they bought the shore house so she could be closer to her family(the hags) and that’s up for sale also. Someone tweeted MeHo asking if they have their house in Franklin Lakes, she said no they’re waiting to sell. It seems like a future bankruptcy to me.
They will protect them as long as they can … but they have skeletons too that will come out. Just a matter of time. Bravo has lured us and had us focused on Teresa, now it will be Melissa … who do you think is next? I think Jac but I think Caroline will cut bait and run before her time comes … she will quit the show before they expose and make a season about her dirty family secrets.

I get quite a kick out of all the defenders of the other HW’s who don’t have access to Twitter, blogs, public records, etc.. Until I got on Twitter over a year ago I had drank the koolaid of what the “show” portrays these women (and their husbands) to be. HA! This entire cast is the most shady, crooked, lying, hypocritical, corruptive (legally) bunch I have ever seen on television.
BRAVO-Make it known what ALL the HW’s have on their plates legally. These are FACTS that they seem to just brush under the rug but have no problem airing Teresa’s real life issues? What are they afraid of?

Yep. He asked a few gentle questions in a cursory way, then accepted their BS, non answers after 3 seconds and went right back to grilling Tree. He also corrected her speech and grammar a few times – as if the rest of the ladies are geniuses. This has been talked about ad nauseam, but the HYPOCRISY is just outstanding.
That won’t happen at least not from Teresa’s mouth, she loves her parents and brother more than she has a need to bring them down. While she may get hot ad bothered about things, fly off the handle, say something our of turn in frustration and anger, she will not do what her “angel” of a brother and sil are doing!

This information is public and has been out for a long time. Roxy will not have any problems posting it, it is all over the web. It is obvious that their extravagant living has caught up to them. If they were simply looking to move to another town they would not be putting their shore house up for sale as well. The truth of the matter is construction is slow, period. Builders are losing money on homes at this point. I am confident Joe is no exception. Why cant they just admit it? It really is no big deal, half he country is in financial straights.
Joe flips homes for a living. I dont think this “shore” house was ever really theirs for any long period of time. As soon as i saw it on the show i KNEW it was a flip. They are so transparent.
They purchased the shore house in 2005 so they have had it quite some time.
If they owned it since ’05, why wasn’t it done in time for the shore episode? It doesn’t make sense to me.
They have had plenty of time to finish it, and clean up around it. I wonder if this is one of the flips that the 2 men were talking about, when they said that the workers walked of the job cause PW wasn’t paying them. Bravo had the time to rent Kathy a place.

Did you notice the listing for the home says nothing about a studio and in fact lists the home with an unfinished basement? Was this studio he “built” for her really a rental from BRAVO? Seems like that would be a big deal for an over-priced listing….

The house is his home to keep….he built it on spec but until it is actually sold he owns the property and the house, and so he could make any modification he wanted to. I bet that recording studio can all be taken out in a moment’s notice…I don’t think any of it is a permanent fixture.
It is not his home until it is paid in full. I do agree that the studio was not a permanent fixture.

MMMMMMMMM….Joey Marco is fool, how does his partner feels about him saying the buildings belongs to his children.
His share probably is in his childrens names.. and im sure his partner is in on their sham for the public. But just a matter of time before he gets burned and puts their asses ON DISPLAY too!
I thought he said they would be the kids buildings one day? He would be a fool to put any real estate in a minor’s name. You have to then establish a guardianship and on a go forward basis, get a judge’s permission to do anything with the property (i.e. refinance or sell.)
There has to be something more to this. My own father owns a ton of properties. He had some medical issues and had all of his properties put into mine and my siblings names to ensure they went to us upon his death. This was not a living will and i didnt have to sign any papers… So i dont know exactly how this stuff works but i am guessing that he has the properties default to the minor children? It just doesnt sound right that Joe Gorga could use his minor childrens names on business stuff. It could turn into an identity theft case if it messes with their credit?
He is putting everything in the kids name so that it can’t be taken in the event of a bankruptcy. A little trick my father used all the time.
That little trick is used up here in Canada as well.
Depending on which Province you live in, in some cases, the purchaser will have to forfeit the property in the case of claiming bankruptcy, even if it is in their childrens names. For now, the grandfather clause (they can not make them sell it to recover any monies owed in a bankruptcy) still applies if the childs name was on the deed before it became a Provincial law. Some of our Provinces are at least trying to put an end to this practice up here.

Something is up with the Gorgas. Why else would they put BOTH places up at the same time? Especially in this market. Maybe they want to “downgrade” (aka we can’t afford this lifestyle) like some of the other wives. It is a beautiful property though.
In the documents, i believe the shore house is entangled in the Montville mansion, so they have to sell it.
Ya it was used as collateral. Plus they added Melissa to the mansion when they tried to convert the loan.. They needed the shore house and her BRAVO income to qualify it. Do you know what type of income you need to qualify for a 13 THOUSAND DOLLAR payment? Good lord!
Especially these days. 5-6 years ago they were giving anyone and everyone loans for astronomical amounts whether they could afford it or not. Heck, ppl didn’t even have to provide proof that they had a JOB half the time. But now? You have to promise them your first born to qualify for even modest loans.
Can you imagine having a home that big and having a single file driveway? Imagine the traffic at a house this size? You have to have a cleaning lady, plus in and out for school and kids activities.. not to mention family dinners/holidays… That house is built for entertaining so why not a driveway to match.
No, She does everything herself! Don’t you know that? She even does the landscaping.

I’ve never understood people who are House Poor. Why tie up so much in your home? Do those kids have college funds? It seems crazy and unnecessarily stressful to me.
That’s because you are most likely a sensible person. Most of the people involved in these Housewife franchises are all about image. Melissa and Joe are some of the worst offenders. Melissa wants everyone to think she has it all and doesn’t care what has to be done to keep up that facade. The danger of spending money you don’t have is that it will eventually catch up to you. Meho and the Troll obviously didn’t learn that from watching Joe and Teresa.
Those poor kids don’t even have Birthday Parties, or parents who spend their birthdays with them… forget about college funds!

As a builder’s wife, I can tell you it is not uncommon to build a “spec” house and move into it if it doesn’t sell. We have never done that because it is financial suicide in a down economy. A lot of builders went under because they kept building spec houses and drew salaries off the construction loans. This is legal, however, when you keep doing this in a bad economy, it eventually catches up with you, because especially in these times, the bank calls the loan in. Banks aren’t doing too well either. I wondered when they showed him in his office working, how he had that much work during this time. I can tell you where I live new residential construction in upper class homes are non-existent. We only build pre-sold houses and we haven’t had a contract in 3 years. Now, having said that, he might be doing some remodeling, cheaper homes or light commercial work. Either way, if they are not pre-sold and he has been living off construction loans……he is in way over his head. We are so fortunate to have been in this business for 46 years and know better to spend every penny we make and not put some aside. I think they have been on a spending spree to keep up with the Joneses or in this case, the Manzo, Lauritas, Wakiles and Guidices.
Grammy thanks for sharing your inside insight! I kind of imagined something odd was going on with that home. One of the hardest times ever in the real estate and building market and they were living high on the hog.. Even if he had stacked money away and been smart about everything he did.. They still would have been facing rough times like the Giudices. To see them spending and dogging Teresa out was the first give away that they were FRAUDS.
Teresa has handled her issues very well. Staying quiet and as humble as she could.. Melissa flaunted and taunted which is going to make it impossible for her to save face now. She keeps digging her grave. The deeper she digs the harder it is to climb back out of!

I also have some experience in the building/construction world, not nearly as much as you seem to have but enough to know,our economy stinks. The housing market came to a screeching halt! Yet..Joe Gorga’s making money hand over fist.

I don’t think he has that much going on- he has NO website. How many homes has he even built? How long has he been in that current office of his? 2 homes- I think. Why would anyone go with a builder with no record to go on-I would love to see photos of all the homes be says he has built and what the owners have to say!

I heard the brownstone was mortaged to the hilt and was facing foreclosure too. Also, the manzo said they plan to donate the salary Big Al earned from his “public office” but not till July which is probably when the HWs get their BRAVO payout for fullfilling their contracts.
Kathy does seem to be the only one without financial issues. She’s obviously not wealthy, but she and Rich seem to live comfortably and do well for themselves. She doesn’t really seem like the flash type and doesn’t seem to be trying to pretend like she has more than she actually has.
Oh, trust me it takes lots of money to look as cheap as Kathy does. She was tweeting pics of her shoes and some were well over $1k.
JD, i’ve always wondered if shoe and clothing designers give the housewives free stuff in exchange for the publicity it brings them. Remember back when ATL was airing nearly all the housewives from all cities were sporting that ugly birkin bag? Taylor Armstrong as much as i dislike her has always sported some of the BEST clothes , shoes and bags..even when her credit cards were being declined at star bucks and after Russles death. I truely believe a ton of their stuff is either gifted or loaned.

Grammy 8, my husband took over a consrcution company that was started my his grandfather in the 1950′s. Joe Gorga is one iof those landscapers turned contractor, unlike my husband who has and engineering degree. He is the typical uneduated contractor who did not build a cash reserve for his business. I live in New Jersey and never heard of his company. He is selling his houses and downsizing because he has no cash to run his business and the banks are not that willing to give you a line of credit. I only have one word for Melissa and Joe, KARMA.
Exactly! There are a lot of people who got into the construction business when it was booming, who had no idea how to run a business. Now they are all in trouble. It is sad but it is a life lesson. I thank God everyday that my husband was not only a phenomenal builder but who knew hard times come pretty regularly in the construction business, it is like a roller coaster ride, and if you haven’t prepared for it, you are going to be in major trouble.

Ironic that they have mocked Teresa and Joe for their financial problems and are now in the same boat.
The only difference is Teresa is making a living with her cook books, wine, teeth whitening system and don’t forget Celebrity Apprentice. Melissa’s music isn’t going to bail the Gorgas out of this mess, it may have just sunk them further into their financial pit.

It seems Teresa Giudice isn’t the only Real Housewife of New Jersey star facing major financial troubles! A new report states that Twitterholic, Jacqueline Laurita and her husband Chris Laurita were recently named in an $8M lawsuit for “improperly using funds and assets” from their company Signature Apparel.
RadarOnline is reporting that Chris and his brother Joseph formed Signature Apparel Group (a company that once owned brands such as Rocawear and Eve’s Fetish) in 2005 and “drained the company” amassing a debt of $7,804,227 which was used to “support their luxurious lifestyle”!
According to documents the company banked more than $250 million between 2005 and 2009, but then surprisingly declared bankruptcy in September 2009, and just like their friend Teresa, someone started complaining that the bankruptcy petition might just be fraudulent. The suspicious bankruptcy filing prompted the debtor “to come forward with the complaint”, claiming company monies were “misused,” RadarOnline reveals.
Chris and Joseph “drained the Company of all its funds and assets in order to support their families’ increasingly opulent lifestyle of private jets, limousines, extravagant parties, premium automobiles, designer clothing, ostentatious home furnishings and lavish vacations,” the complaint filed November 2, 2010 alleges. “Signature’s assets were misused to make outright and unjustified payments to Laurita family members, and to fund the operations of the Laurita brothers’ other companies and business ventures.”
So what exactly did the Lauritas spend all that money on? Well, according to the documents, here’s the breakdown:
Nearly $2 million in credit card payments for the Laurity Family, including payments to more than 40 bank accounts
At least $331,637 for payments on no less than eleven leased cars, including a Bentley and a Maserati
At least $284,793 in airline travel expenses for the Laurita Family
At least $145,894 for private airplane rentals for the Laurita Family
At least $7,280 for travel agent expenses for the Laurita Family
At least $755,184 to defendant Christopher Laurita for undocumented or insufficiently documented reasons
At least $784,160 of disbursements directed by the Laurita Director Defendants (Chris and Joseph) to unknown recipients, without any documentation whatsoever
Even worse, the complaint alleges that Jacqueline had knowledge that shady business dealings were taking place and willing participated in wrongfully accepting money from the company, which is why she is named as part of the suit! The documents claim Jacqueline, along with Anthony Laurita, “knew of the Laurita Director Defendant’s wrongful conduct, and each substantially assisted the Laurita Director Defendants in breaching their fiduciary duties by, among other conduct, accepting funds they each knew belonged to Signature and for which they each knew they had performed no services and/or provided no value.”
“Funds that should have been used to grow Signature’s business and to pay Signature’s vendors and creditors, instead were diverted to the Laurita Family Defendants.” Oops – that’s not good.
Chris has denied “nearly all of the 155 allegations made in the claim” and believes it should be summarily dismissed, citing: “a failure to state facts sufficient to constitute a cause of action and a failure to state a claim upon which relief may be granted.” The case is still pending so Reality Tea keep you posted with all the updates! Jacqueline has yet to comment, but if Bravo had wind of this matter it may have been another reason she skipped the RHONJ Season 3 Reunion!
In my limited knowledge of bankruptcy law, this is what I understand to have happened: it seems that instead of paying creditors to keep the business lucrative the Lauritas allegedly pocketed the proceeds and spent the money for personal use, then filed bankruptcy to avoid paying their bills. Now they are being accused of fraudulently filing bankruptcy. Any legal or financial experts out there please chime in!

The part about depositing cash into over 40 bank accounts is what got me. I love Chris Laurita but he took that dig a Joe for getting the DL when he has a family to support… what about him stealing from his own company? They hypocrites on this show is un-real!
I bet its because when you file bankruptcy as a corporation they can’t touch your personal assets…and I bet that’s why they funnelled the money into personal accounts so it couldn’t be touched.

The math says there is over $245M unexplained. It apparently did not go into:

Also rumor has it that once the show is wrapped that Chris Laurita in all this mess also had a girlfriend who is writing a book and that Chris never told her he was married when they met and she is coming forward with the entire story and pics to prove it.
It all makes sense. Joe is very young to have a massive house, cars, furniture, expensive clothes and everything else they have. As everyone knows, the housing marked has been in the toilet for the last 4 years. There is know way he is making the kind of money it takes to have all of these material things.

According to the county tax assessor the house was assessed for $1.5 million and the shore house for $391,000 in 2011. Unless someone is going to pay cash on an inflated amount this house won’t sell for over 1.5 mil. No bank will give a loan for a home that is worth $2 million less than the purchase amount.
In this day and age its almost impossible to rip people off because property valuations are always public information and many records are available for free online.
Assessments for tax purposes and appraisals for market value are two different things. The assessment on the house is based on an overall rate on all homes in the area, ie: 50% of market value, although some these days are more like 100%. The taxes are then computed based on the assessed amount of the home, for example if the home is assessed at 50% mv it would be $50.00 per thousand of asssessed value in taxes. You want a lower assessment when buying a house so that you’re not paying an inordinate amount of taxes. Also worthy to note that since it was new construction the assessment is usually based on what it cost to BUILD the home, not what it holds for in the market.
But the markets have dropped so much. Even if this assesment is wrong it wouldnt be off by THAT much, would it?
Yes absolutely. For example. In the town where I live my assessment on my house is $258,000.00 BUT because of the equalization rate and the comparables in the town, the MARKET VALUE of my house is around $450,000.00 Not that I would get that much, but using the math this is what it should go for in a reasonable market.
So I pay taxes on the 258K, (which is still close to 11,000.00). Can you imagine if I had to pay taxes on the total market value?

I would expect people who write things like this, to have something to say about what I do with my spare time. Judge judge judge…it comes SO easily to some of you. Something about all the hate on this blog makes me think you all are Conservative Republicans. Sorry…couldn’t help myself. And yes, that is a judgement on my behalf but the difference is I am aware of it… Awareness is key, something most hate bloggers know nothing about….
I think its silly to talk about these things like ANY OF US really know what the truth is and what isn’t. Just read all your comments, they are all very cruel and lack compassion. At the end of the day, Melissa and Joe, Theresa and Joe, Jaqueline and Chris, etc etc, are all REAL people with families and children. And for ANY OF US to be laughing, screaming KARMA this and KARMA that, is just, in my opinion a reflection of what is going on inside our own lives.

Joey’s like any other contractor that kept building spec homes even as the wheels started coming off the market thinking the multi million dollar market would hold up. I have to say, nothing in his paper trail looks shady. He went from construction to bridge to permanent loan. And as much as I hate the Gorgas, they probably would not have gotten that final 30 year fixed mortgage if the bank didn’t they could handle it. I bet their impending reality fame and potential income helped seal the deal. But nothing looks shady in the paperwork.
And Joe & Melissa probably moved into the spec house for filming because it would be free advertising and possibly a price boost. Remember just how much filming was done in their home last season? I’m sure Joe Gorga didn’t put the studio in just for Melissa. He is probably hoping to sell it to celeb musician and there are plenty of them in good old North Jersey. And “say what??” is right, Joe Gorga probably not a literary guy, so why else would there be a library in the home??

The reports about the house that have been going on since Season 3 obviously have been correct. Only makes you wonder what else that has been said about these two in the past two years is also spot on (more than we can imagine I would suspect…..)
Read some current news about the real estate market, there is nothing going on, only HUDs and foreclosures are selling. Not only that, no one really wants to pay the electricity bill on these monstrous homes anymore with the high cost of energy. These people are not the Trumps or George Clooney’s now are they?
That is how Joe Gudice went bankrupt. Over building and not being able to sale. Slow Joe’s spec house was built with a loan from Teresa, which is why she did some of the design work. Something they didn’t mention.

I remember Dina telling Andy (WWHL) about a phone call she’d gotten from Teresa about a staircase. Dina said they talked for 15 mns before she realized it was Teresa she was talking to! Anyhoo, Dina said that Teresa called to ask questions about a staircase she’d seen and wanted to know details about it because her brother was building his “dream house”. So, that told me, at least, that Teresa not only played an active role in her brother’s life, but in the design of that house.

I could be WAY off base here, but I’m wondering if iti’s possible that Joe Gorga was paying the Giudices monthly. IIRC, in their legal papers, the Giudices declared that they were getting 10K a month from “family member(s)”. The timing of the filing and Gorga’s purchase of that house aligns. If it turns out that he’s been paying the Giudices monthly, that would or could explain animosity between Melissa and Teresa, too — not to mention it would prove all those who said Teresa was a liar to claim that amount of help each month from her family — wrong. IF it’s true that Joe has been repaying his sister because she helped him, she’s taken a lot of hits at the expense of that idiot and his wife. That would be the ugliest cut of all. I thought she said one of the fathers gave them the money at one of the reunions, but she hasn’t “clearly” stated that anywhere that I’ve been able to find. In fact, the court declarations list the source of 10 grand/monthly as “family members”. Plural. I’m not disagreeing with you, DJ, but I don’t think it’s clear who the source or sources are so, Joe Gorga could be one of those family members — plural — listed in the court docs, too.
Well no only over building, but holding alot of debt. Which was the way to go a few years ago, in fact I have known many invested real estate owners, and when they are over leveraged this is what happens, no matter the market condition.
This economy is brutal, so there are alot of lux homes that are upside down. Banks understood this risk, they just ignored it.
Just so you know, they didn’t sell the house for $1.00. The dollar is what is called a “consideration”. It is on all Warranty and Quit Claim Deeds. It is customary to put $1.00 or here in Florida we usually put $10.00 or “love and affection”. It’s not unusual for a husband to execute a deed to transfer the property from himself to himself and his wife to establish an estate by the entireties if they are going to live in the home as their homestead property. Nothing strange about that or executing a Modification of Mortgage. Not fans of theirs, just stating the facts.
p.s. The Construction Liens are expired. Construction Liens only attach as a lien to the property for one year, so that is a moot point.
Not true when I sold my house in Mich..There was a lean on the house that was 8 years old..The guy that built our garage had put a lean on it while building..He never took it off then went out of Biz we played hell getting that taken care of..

I am currently living in Montville and have been for over 10 years. I can tell you these two will have a hard time selling this mansion esp in the “pond” which use to be a swamp by the way. Everyone is moving out of Montville, no one is moving into this town because its not affordable anymore and the school system is alright. People in this town don’t like the Gorga’s due to the reason you all obviously know that they have been living here free of charge kind of. The Gorga’s are nothing what they put off to be. This is off subject but Melissa never dressed this way or talked this way. This whole thing was a illusion and all of Montville was laughing at them. I agree with Grammy my husband is also a contractor and no one is getting that much business anymore. These two are so fake and whoever compared these two to Spencer and Heidi your right on point!

I’m posting this link to a news story about Joe Gorga’s “confidential” settlement with the window company this past January. There are some interesting tid bits in the article — such as, the window company’s lawyer is the guy who represented Danielle Staub in her sex tape suit and in the suits she filed against the cast for the country club hair puller. Also, we now know that Joe moved his office from Wayne to Paterson. She’s not inherently interesting or dynamic and we’re not even sure yet what her real personality is because she’s always acting -although we’ve had fleeting glimpses like when she bitched about the club not being big or good enough for her big singing debut. I admit, in the beginning, I thought she was going to be an interesting character to watch, not exactly my type of person, but over-the-top and “fabulous” like Teresa, in every way, but she’s not. She’s rather boring, I think. She’s nothing but a foil for Teresa.

Melissa doesnt have enough of a fan base to hold her own show IMO. She is on a housewives show and destroying a family. Not only that, she is not interesting to this group of viewers. She is younger than the other housewives. She fits in more with the Jersey Shore than the HW crowd. If she did get a spin off it would not be with BRAVO in my opinion. She would need to be on VH1 which i highly i dont see happening.

First up, I think the square footage on the listing seems off to me. It might include the basement space, but it’s not customary around here to list the basement square footage on the listing, even if it’s finished. I’d say the number someone mentioned of nine thousand square feet is more like it.
At roughly two hundred per square foot, I’d would put it at 1.8 million for a selling price, which is roughly where the zillow estimate puts it. And it would still take a long time to find a buyer.
There is also something very odd about putting the Toms River house up for sale at the same time. There is no reason for that. She says on her twitter that they want to move to Franklin Lakes…Why do they have to sell the Toms River house to do that? The Toms River house is a drop in the bucket.
If they owe all of that money on it, then how are they going to even move to Franklin Lakes afterwards? Even if she did get two million for it, and if they didn’t even have a huge mortgage, two million won’t buy something similar in Franklin Lakes, which is more expensive overall. They would still be better off just staying in the Montville house.
Joe’s story about being closer to work makes absolutely no sense to me. I think most people would look at a map and figure come to that conclusion in about one minute.
The only thing that would explain this whole thing is that they are having financial problems, IMO.

Not sure of your laws in the US but in Australia if you have not applied for planning permission when you build inside the home you can’t legally add it to a real estate listing as a selling point of the home. That may explain why the listing says nothing about the studio.

The online listing for the shore house shows the house has been listed since August of 2011. Wasn’t filming of season 4 going on last summer? Didn’t Joey say he was blowing special insulation into the walls so “Mommy and Daddy can make as much noise as we want?” Funny how the sale wasn’t mentioned on camera. Just more BS.

The Gorgas lived in Lincoln Park NJ before Montville. Lincoln Park is where they lived before. Lincoln Park is also where Teresa and her family lived as well. Melissa says they never got a long and her brother and her had problems then why would they have lived by each other before and why would they move to the same town with each other again??
