Teresa Publicly Apologizes To The Real Housewives; Jac Responds
It’s been a tough long road for RHONJ star Teresa Giudice. In the past year, Teresa has lost not only her family but her long time best friends. We saw on the season 3 reunion Teresa get attacked by every housewife and assumed their relationship would probably never be the same. Since then Teresa has stayed quiet while her former friends bashed her. Still, Teresa didn’t say anything until now! Teresa publicly apologized to the Real Housewives of New Jerseytelling Life&Style, “Things have gotten out of hand. I want to accept responsibility for the things I did wrong. I’m truly sorry.” Teresa added, “All of this drama seemed insignificant after I was exposed to people with real problems. I wish I could take it all back and start over. In an open letter to Jacqueline, she says, “Dear Jacqueline, I wish we could have resolved things sooner because I’m sincerely sorry for upsetting you — and I’m sorry I didn’t respond to your apology on Twitter. I feel like things have gotten out of hand, which is sad. I miss our friendship. I miss being like Lucy and Ethel with you. And so I hope we can work through these problems one day, when you are ready. Teresa xoxo.” I’m sure Teresa did things that hurt Jacqueline but Jac is no angel here. She’s publicly bashed Teresa continuously and has exposed things about her former friend that was probably supposed to be kept quiet.
So how exactly did Jacqueline respond? Well at first she had to of course be negative saying, “If T apologized I’m confused.Just last week she asked a mutual friend2pick a side&she never answered or returned my calls.I’d love2talk2her!.” Jac continues, “I apologized awhile back ago if she felt hurt by me in a text message when she wouldnt answer or return my calls.She should call me.” She then tweeted Teresa directly and said, “I’d love for you to come over for a cup of tea with me so that we can sit down and talk. Call me.”

I think that it takes a big person to apologize and I know she is going to get a lot of flack for doing it publicly in a paid interview but the whole fight is so public and everyone is being so vicious i respect her for standing up and saying “i was wrong.” People make mitakes and nobody is perfect. I think it was good for her to at least apologize so she can move on. If the other choose to accept it (which i doubt) then that would be great but it wont define her happiness.
How else would she do it?
She tried to do it all during filming of season 4, and they were too dead-set on their plan to destroy her publicly. So she’s apologizing publicly in return.
Trust me i agree i think there really was no other way but i can already see based on peoples facebook comments and on twitter they are all already criticising her for doing it in an article where she was compenstated. I understand why she did it i mean the poor woman she is damned if she does and damned if she doesn’t.
She cant win. No matter what she does its wrong. They cant just accept her for who she is and move past it. Melissa has won this battle as Teresa will never get her friends back. But Melissa will never be the star Teresa is. The Viewers hate her

Ive always felt it was Caroline standing in the way of Jac & Teresa because of jealousy if Caro isnt the main attraction she starts trouble.I really hope Jac is sincere with teresa & not playing games. dont know if she’s strong enough to stand up to Caro like Dina did. we shall see. BTW I think the others all of them should also apologize to Teresa they are no innocents.

Honestly, I still believe DStaub is responsible for much of the innuendo that started the backstabbing and, though I have always liked Jac very much, both she and MeHo should have checked before attacking Tre. Of course, I love Tre and she has been very lovely to my daughter at her signings, I am therefore completely biased.
Having said that, oh Caroline, please wake up. How could you even entertain an idea of your son opening a strip car wash?? I would die of embarrassment if one of my children suggested such a crazy thing. You call your own daughter a sausage to her face. And of course, Albie (who I personally adore) is the saint, as well he should be. You know what they say about glass houses. Trust me I throw no stones knowing my family so I would get my head out of the sand. I love my Italian heritage but stupid is an international phenomenon. I don’t know if I can stand to even watch this season. The first show made me so ill.

I liked Albie until Sunday when they showed him with that nasty scowl on his face at Jac’s house. He’s like the others, he’s just better at hiding it.
I think it was a brilliant move by Teresa (and possibly her advisors). Not that I’m saying it is not a sincere apology or that she doesn’t miss her friends, BUT I do think she put a lot of thought behind this and made a brilliant move and captured the queen on the chess board. I love Teresa and I have really felt for her especially since the addition of her family members in S3, but you have to admit that she has become quite a savvy business woman and I totally respect that. Think about it; her 4 cast mates are against her, bashing her every chance they get, saying she is fake, destroying her in the public’s eye and now she shuts them down by publicly apologizing to them. What’s their argument now? What will their excuse be now? Kind of like in the movie 8 Mile, when Eminem disses himself during the last rap battle and says all the things that his opponent was going to say about him. Left the guy with nothing to say & utterly speechless. The 3 bullies + Jac will have a hard time bashing her now. Teresa didn’t plant a seed, she took the lawn mower and chopped then bitches down. LOL I love me some Teresa. Can’t wait to see her when she comes down to Miami in June!!!

Mima – when I first read this article I thought – ” WHAT THE HELL DOES SHE HAVE TO APOLOGIZE FOR????” I was almost angry and my girl Tree for ” caving ” to them. After all, that’s what they — especially Don Caro — want, PROSTRATION before them for being such a bad, bad person. Like you said, I’m not saying her FEELINGS aren’t real; she probably has had a life-changing conversion about what’s really important in life and sincerely wants to move on. HOWEVER, there’s no doubting this is ALSO a brilliant chess move. One doesn’t preclude the other, I think it’s both. Sincere and calculating, if that makes sense.
I agree on PR move. But they are so upset over what she published in a BOOK that it makes sense she apologized in a book… they asked for it..But of course she will be bashed for it.
I think your comments are exactly right!!! I also think that given how things went for Danielle (no one would film with her/ she got fired) can’t be far from Teresa’s mind. Teresa can’t lose for winning here. Even those who hate her and call her stupid are going to be hard-pressed to check her for this one. Are they going to accuse her of being calculating? You can’t have it both ways. She’s either dumb as dirt or as evil and cunning as a Bond villain.
What has happened here is a brilliant, pre-emptive strike. The rest of them either accept her olive branch and move on or they reject her and look like a bunch of petulant children making much ado about nothing.
Jax is sticking a toe into the waters. A good show of faith on her part although, just like her daughter, she had to whine a little before she did the right thing. Can’t wait to hear what Hagoline will do with this. This is going to get verrrrry interesting.
Whatever Jax ends up doing will be what’s in her head at the time. The problem with Jax is her head spins more than Regan’s and there’s never any knowing for sure which way she’ll end up facing at any given time.
As for the sister-in-law and the cousin, I wouldn’t trust them as far as I could throw ‘em. They have demonstrated nothing but bad faith since day one. That doesn’t mean you don’t plaster on a smile and make nice because it’s family. But from here on, if I were Teresa, if any of them told me what time it was, I’d still look at my watch.

Teresa did apologize face to face with all of them, over and over and over. Each time everyone said, “If Teresa says she’s sorry then it’s over, done. We can move on” and each time she did it, it was never good enough. None of the others are without fault and should give Teresa a mutual apology but, that will never happen! Give me a break, they just keep looking worse and worse! Especially MeHo and her little horney hubby. I loved all the HWs, now, not so much!

I would love if they could make amends. Life is too short to let true friends go. I don’t know what happened and I can’t make judgements on people I don’t know. If they are both truly sorry for hurting each other and have each other’s best interests at heart, I wish there friendship and each of them all the best. Tre is my fav but I really liked Jac and Tre as friends out of any of the HW’s these are the 2 I would like to see make amends; they really did have at one time a “true” friendship I hope it works out for them! We shall see!!!!

I think its important to remember Teresa apologized to her.. she didnt apologize to Teresa so its difficult to say she wants to make up for season 5. I think Jac would have been fine with her storyline of bashing Teresa for another season. Teresa has taken a PUBLIC BEATING. she is dealing with so much and this is one thing she could put an end to. They cant refuse to accept her apology and then continue to beat her up for the rest of the season.

I would be finished with the brother too. he made her grovel last season and she still wasnt good enough for him. He continues to do everything in his power to destroy her. I love Teresa and I do hope she’s serious about her CA experience making her view life differently. She can’t change anything she’s done in the past, of course. All she can do is try to be a better person than she was from here on out. Not that she was a bad person. We just all have room for improvement.
JacQueDrunk is no angel. She’s been a complete and utter asshole since she had Teresa had their falling out. She owes some apologies, as well. Life is much easier when people get along so if nothing else I hope these two can at least come to a place where things are amicable.

I think that Caroline the bully owes Teresa and apology, as well as Kathy and Melissa. Only Teresa knows what she needs to do; however, I would leave Melissa, Kathy and Caroline out of my life.
Whats great about this is that Teresa has let go of her own anger and thats all some people need to just move on with her life. Now Carolines true colors will be shown becuase as expected she will now accept this and still hold a grudge.

sometimes when you’re under stress, you say things to your friends about your family that you don’t really mean. If anyone was under stress last year, it was Teresa. If my friends then went out of their way to let the world know the things I had said to them IN PRIVATE, I would be devastated. Thank God my best friends keep the mean things I (sometimes) say to themselves.

Uh, I don’t think anyone’s saying that Teresa doesn’t owe anyone an apology. The point is, it’s a two way street. Actually, the others owe her a bigger apology for the publicly bashing her, repeatedly when she hasn’t even come close to doing the same.

I was going to respond also, I believe Bravo is behind it. Truth is, they’ve all said and we already know that this season ends badly. So, considering the episodes are already in the can, and Bravo is reading all the blogs, I would BET that this is yet another publicity ploy to get the show to stay relevant. Remember all the posts about people not watching? Don’t think they didn’t see them. Truth be told, Bravo is the puppeteer, and these women are just marionettes in the show.

I feel the same way. I really hate to think this isn’t sincere, but for some reason their last few tweets have me questioning things. JacQueDrunk has been spewing nothing, but hate about Teresa for months and now all of sudden she’s “I’d love to see you?” Really, Drunkqueline? Teresa has said that she’s apologized to all of them many times and they still act like jackasses. I don’t know. I’m just kind of watching with one eyebrow raised for now.
I really do think Bravo kind of shot themselves in the foot by making arguably their most people cast member of the NJ cast the new villain.

I’m so happy! I basically wrote Jac off as a casuality of Melissa’s war against Teresa but now I have hope for Jac and Teresa who in my opinion had the only REAL FRIENDSHIP out of the entire HW franchise. How great would it be if Season 5 was a fun girly (but grownup not Melissa’s fake teenage life) season that made T and J’s friendship and lives the main storyline? Melissa Kathy and Caroline could be fired hopefully or just made background music. I’m so done with this doom and gloom season. That pool party at Kathy’s spoke volumes about their true intentions were as impure as MeHo’s fake catholic personna. Lies and more lies. I am all about Teresa ( I hate a lot of what she does but I’m inclined to be team Tre because I hate how all the women treat her) however, I think her public apology is huge BUT only if it was accompanied by a personal call, text, or email to Jac. I know the other women are super paranoid about her doing things for publicity so she should prove to them she isn’t by talking to Jac one on one!

I am 100% Team Theresa, but I do think it was tacky she published her apologies in a magazine & got paid for it. She should have written them thoughtful letters like she did with Jac last season to her brother. I’m not saying she owed them an apology, but she thought she did. I can see the Season 5 make amends angle.
I feel differently because this all has played out on TV. You have all of them leaking stories to the bloggers bashing each other. If Teresa apologized in private and Jac decided not to accept Teresa would continue to get heat for what she said in the book. so its a lose lose situation. No matter how she does it she will be wrong. At least this way, she is forcing them to stop the quest to destroy her or hurt their own reputations.

Normally, I would agree with you 100%, but I see why Teresa has handled it this way. Everything she says and everything she does has been hyper-scrutinized by these people, and misrepresented. By apologizing in such a public forum, she is ensuring that they cannot lie about what she said. Also, by doing it in a magazine, as opposed to her website or blog, it will be more widely circulated. As for being paid – who cares? The woman has a lot of bills to pay.

Interview subjects don’t get paid for stories about them in magazines. The trade-off is in the free publicity they receive.

I think that Teresa is someone who I’d have very little patience with. They were fine with her flipping a table on Danielle, not to mention hunting down Danielle at that country club the next season. Then Caroline acted like a jerk to Melissa and Kathy – now she’s sorry, but give me a break, who is jerky enough to judge people based on what someone else says? I, for one, make up my own mind about someone. Anyway, I don’t understand why Teresa keeps apologizing…she apologized fine to Caroline yet it wasn’t good enough for Queen Manzo. I think Teresa should move on. I still don’t like either one, so my opinion is certainly not biased against one or the other, lol.
As i said earlier Jacqueline is the most untrustworthy person i have ever seen on TV. Nothing you tell her remains in confidence. I am sure Teresa is still hurt, because every week she gets to see what everyone said behind her back. So when the wounds are healing each episode reopens them. So i can image the eposide Teresa just saw hurts like hell. Did you expect that TEresa would be healed overnight. To me Jacqueline wants an apology, but doesn ‘t realize she has really hurt Teresa as well and should acknowledge this instead of sweeping Teresa’s hurt under the rug.

To answer your question, no I did not email Rox to ask her if I could post my link on her website. When I post comments on this website (after viewing it literally 10x+ a day, because I LOVE it so much), it tells me that my comments have to be approved before they will post. Knowing that Rox is the moderator of her website, it seemed clear to me that if she had a problem with the links under my comments to her posts, she would delete my comment. Or she could email me (since we are required to leave an email address in order to post).
I have seen many others (esp FameWhorgas who I also LOVE) do the same and did not think that it would be much of a problem, ESP since I do not do the same type of blogging as ROX. I leave that to her because she is so great at it. My blog is merely a place for me and a few friends to express our feelings on things we see, not just on television but in real life as well. None of us are getting paid from it, just some harmless fun to relax ourselves from our daily lives. Additionally, I make sure to link several of my comments in my own blog to Rox’s because, again because I think she is SO great!

I am disliking her more and more. She keeps telling us that she is the type of person who lets thing slide to “keep the peace” and that she is not a jealous or resentful woman. Really? Did she read her own blog entry? The author of that blog entry sounded bitter, full of grudges and unforgiving.
She is becoming more and more like Caroline – someone who spends a lot of time and energy TELLING us what type of person she is – while her behavior SHOWS us who she really is. The divide between her image of herself and how she conducts herself is growing wider by the day.

Jacqueline needs to realize that the first talk may not go well and she should just hush about it. Especially while the last season is still airing and going to bring up old wounds.
