Tamra Barney Undergoes Emergency Surgery After Suffering From Stomach Pain
Never a dull moment in the OC! Yesterday afternoon RHOC star Tamra Barney tweeted that she was having severe pain in her upper abdomen. She speculated that it may be an ulcer because the pain came after she had had coffee. Tamra did not tweet until today when she let her followers know what she had been going through during the past day.
Tamra tweeted,
“Thanks for the “get well wishes” Its true I am in the hospital recovering from emergency surgery . Very scary 24 hours!”
Speaking to the National Enquirer about the medical scare, Tamra says:
“For the past month or so, I thought what I had was maybe an ulcer, every once in a while I would get these excruciating pains but they would go away, on Monday night they didn’t.
“It was around 7pm Monday [August 27] Eddie was gone to a meeting and I was home alone sitting on the couch drinking a cup of coffee when a sharp pain hit me like a ton of bricks; at first I thought it would go away, but it didn’t.”
“Within in minutes I was doubled over, it was the worst pain I’ve ever suffered in my life, it was 100 times more painful than childbirth.
“I could barely talk when I called 911… an ambulance came within minutes and rushed me to the hospital.
“At the hospital doctors first thought I had a perforated ulcer, but what they found after conducting some tests, was much more complex, a hernia the size of a dollar in my abdomen wall that my bowels were entering through.”
Tamra’s surgery occurred at 2 a.m. and lasted roughly three hours! She is looking at a Sunday release from her hospital stay. And there you have it. Get well soon, Tamra!

Rosalie, you are so sweet! Here’s the problem I have: Roxanne allows the “cross pollination” without a problem, but I have seen on that other site people get booted off for posting anything about this site or Roxanne. I’ve also seen that site owner insult Roxanne.
