Royce Reed Responds To Tami’s Comments On Basketball Wives
Royce Reed isn’t very happy with the comments Tami made about her on last nights episode of Basketball Wives! Tami was upset with Royce because Royce texted her about the whole Kesha feud and Tami felt like because Royce wasn’t there, she shouldn’t be commenting on anything. Royce recaps yesterday’s episode and has a few words for Tami herself!
“I cringed as I watch the scenes between Evelyn and Jenn. In all the interviews I’ve read from both sides I’ve NEVER read about Jenn telling anyone’s secrets. Not Nia’s, not Evelyn’s. Sure, some of her statements can be taken the wrong way, but isn’t that what we signed up for when we decided to do a reality show? To have an opinion? To voice that opinion? I’m confused. It shocked me to see Evelyn air so many of Jenn’s secrets. It almost seemed as if she got joy from not only airing it to the other ladies, but to the world. We didn’t need to know, especially from her former best friends, that her bank accounts were locked, her heat was turned off or who she slept with without a condom. I’m pretty sure if Jenn had a tell-all book, many would move to that cave Uncle Phil was in before Hillary’s Playboy ad came out on the Fresh Prince…Just sayin’…Jenn may be bougie, she may say a lot of ignorant ish at times (ie. country vs bougie, or doing what the white people do) but an opinion not elaborated on is just that, an opinion. I’ve seen her keep the friend code and if there’s any key she still has, its not to Nia’s apartment, its to her loyalty in keeping those secrets as a friend/former friend. It’s sad to see the friend code battered and butchered so horribly. So Evelyn, I hope you know that was “Ratchet!!!!!…..Ooooh she two-faced.” (Have you seen that video?) I must say it was a bit humorous to hear them arguing about what was being said over Twitter…sounds familiar…my, how the tables have turned. “Twitter Crazed”…Moving on…
Tami:?F*ck me? Our friendship may be over? WOW! REALLY? Because I told you it was wrong to call someone a Bitch repeatedly? Because I told you it was wrong to chastise, yell, and belittle someone? Because I told you I didn’t want you to come across as a bully and you were better than that???? If that’s the cause of our friendship ending then we were never really friends. How do you involve yourself in other people’s issues (i.e. Evelyn and Jenn, and Kesha and Kenya) but then have the least to say concerning your own. I’ve stated many times the type of friends I have and what I expect from them. I may get upset, but they tell me the truth. Right, wrong, bitch, bougie. I’ve also stated, many times, I don’t have a lot of girl friends. THIS IS WHY! I was a REAL and TRUE friend to you, POINT BLANK, and you gave me your ass to kiss because of it. I don’t have time for the petty bullsh!t. I don’t have time to fight over hearsay. FYI and for future reference…Most “REAL FRIENDS” aren’t there when altercations happen because MOST REAL FRIENDS would stop it before it occurred. I have a mind of my own and I speak it. So question the minds of those who were around you and said nothing to your face but all behind your back…Question those who have meetings calling their friends a “Ghetto Hot Mess” and rather than GENUINELY trying the diffuse the fire they throw in the match and walk away like their hands are clean. Oh, and lets be clear…at no point did I EVER say Kesha was right in anything she said. I don’t take sides of people, I take sides of situations and in that situation your ass was wrong wrong and another wrong.

Shaunie, wow are you going to basically force Jenn to speak to Evelyn but you wouldn’t even film with me? That’s so hypocritical. My question is why didn’t you return my phone call when I reached out to you about the misunderstanding we had over a year ago that was then followed by false accusations and lies. Point is, we all have our issues and neither of us is perfect nor do we pretend to be. Please don’t act like you’re a saint and more people would respect you for that. Own up to your part then we can all sit down as women and hash it out. Hopefully after watching this episode, everyone in the cast sees how you truly view all of us…You drew the lines in the sand. It’s not really fair to be one of the executive producers and a cast member at the same time, is it? If you truly want to turn a new leaf, let’s be adults and sit down and talk. Let’s right our wrongs, let’s fix what’s broken, and let’s bond what’s been separated! Isn’t that what all of this was originally for? To form a sisterhood from our past hurts and pains. Sisters fight but they always have each others back. What happened? When did that get lost? I have no idea because right now I feel like I no longer have eyes behind my head, but more like knives in my back.”
I sometimes do think Royce gets involved in every last bit of drama but because she’s Tami’s friend she obviously has an opinion. Who do you think is in the wrong? Royce? Or Tami?

She was the Tami of BBW’s season one, not a bully to others but she damn sure bullied herself and her image! No one ever really tlks about Suzie and how she instigates a bunch of this mess. She has a bad habbit of running to one person then later meets up with the others to tell all! Then sits back quietly watching all the drama unfold as if she had nothing to do with it. Def runs her mouth too much trying to fit in!
Suzie was a tattletell of everyone she told on everyone to keep tami off her ass. Because if she said something about Tami, tami was coming after her ass.

Royce is really involved with everyhting, but who cares because the other women are also. Tami’s in the wrong, for sure! Tami was preaching’ to Jenn about how she wasn’t with all of them, how she stayed in her little bungalow the whole time, and how she never takes responsibility for what she does. Uhm… Excuse me? Tami NEVER BLAMES HERSELF for anything! Jenn was just staying out of drama, and I don’t blame her. Ev is a hyena, so it’s good she kept her distance. I can’t stand Evelyn and her big, ugly nostrils! Royce is a kid and needs to sit down and shut up!!! Her life does not fit her blog post. Royce is a gold digging ratchet hoe, who sleeps with everyone she can and immediatly gets them involved in her son’s life. Gotta disagree with you Rox. IMO, this season Royce has displayed growth with avoiding all of the drama (although this could be secondary to Shaunie refusing to film with her). She’s saying it like she means it with honest and valid opinions (to which Tami should respect). Those women are acting like…..animals, it’s quite pathetic…..bullies and buffoons preying upon poltroons (Shaunie being one of them since she rarely execute her stance), and they feel that dominance speaks power.
Neither Tami or Evelyn seek true growth from this debacle. In fact, prior to public outrage against their behavior, these two found it all funny. Regardless, BBW has been renewed for yet another season. Will the vibe be the same or something totally different?

She has been my favorite from the beginning because of her refusal to bow to peer pressure in order to fit in with “the Circle” (Why a grown woman with any type of class and integrity and self-respect would want to fit in with that circle of ignorant hyenas is beyond me, but…to each her own, I guess.).
Evelyn really needs to give Jacquline Laurita a call because they are one and the same: immature hot messes who have no respect for the “friendship code,” which basically means that, even if a friendship is ended, confidences shared during that friendship should be kept — NOT blasted all over twitter and blogs and national television!! Unlike Jacqueline, I guess I have to give kudos to Evelyn’s mother for not also (like Bonnie Grippe) getting on twitter to blast Jenn (but I guess she was too busy dodging bullets and muggers in the project she still lives in while her daughter walks around with super-expensive handbags and shoes. I just CAN’T anymore with Evelyn, Tami, Shauni and Suzie! The sooner they get off my t.v. screens, the better I will feel about the representation of African-American and minority women that is going out to the world. I say have a RHONY-type “bloodbath”: fire the half of the cast that consists of ignorant hyenas and replace them with real mature women who act like they have some modicum of class (I guess I should be fair. I’m so happy that someone finally called Shaunie out. In every season she has instigated, albeit with more class and skill than the others. Last season she dropped the ‘nice girl’ facade. She has a definite advantage being an executive producer.
I think Shaunie is just like Don Caro. Think about it… The matronly figure, the wise one, always giving advice. Next she’ll have a radio show! The best thing about the negative press is that being EP she can’t dodge responsibility for much longer.
I’m disappointed in Tami. Early this season she seemed to be on a path of redemption and self improvement. All talk. Does anyone else remember how upset she was on the Real World after a physical fight of some sort with Kevin? After how traumatized she was from that -he got kicked out- I’m surprised she’s now victimizing others.
I feel sad for Royce. She seems like a lost little girl that just wants to be loved. Unfortunately it makes her claims of being strong and independent seem laughable. I normally don’t do needy but of this cast Royce and Kesha are the only two I could see myself being friends with.

Royce usually annoys me terribly, but she hit EVERY nail on the head with this one. Tami said she wasn’t neutral, but she seemed to be to me. She called Tami out for her wrong, which she was very wrong, and didn’t necessarily defend Keisha because she didn’t know what Keisha did or said. I guess a friend to her is Shaunie or Evelyn, who sits and says nothing or approves of her wrong doing. She’s seriously delirious.
Jennifer may be some things but as far as loyalty goes, she does seem a lot more loyal than Evelyn, as Royce said. She did interviews saying she doesn’t see why Evelyn would want to marry Chad. Unnecessary, yes. She never once said anything about her flings or loose activities, and I’m sure there are plenty. So for Evelyn to talk about the people she’s had sex with & air out her dirty laundry, that’s just wrong.
Her comment about Shaunie was 100% truth! She basically tried to say she was above all of them and didn’t want to be seen in the same light that the others are seen in. wth?! She eggs on everything in a slick way, then says she’s washing her hands with the drama. Makes no sense. She’s just more covert with the way she does things. For examply: when Tami made that unnecessary remark about Evelyn’s make-up line being a “real” line, it was obvious she was making a jab at Jennifer. Shaunie says “so are you saying other lines aren’t” & then Tami goes on to talk about how some just have a few lip gloss shades (lucid). Shaunie KNEW what she was talking about. smh & let’s not forget the countless times she sits & does nothing as her “friends” act a ghetto hot mess. Come on Shaunie, we see right through you!

I agree with most people here. Tami has double standards and it makes me disgusted. All the show has been about all season is talking ish on someone else so where does she get the nerve to expect nobody to discuss her? She says it is edited/scripted but I can not fathom any circumstance that warrants the way she has acted. I really liked her last season but now I hope I never have to see her ratchet-ass again.
Evelyn is an emotional mess. She bullies and calls everyone a bitch and pretends to be so much better than everyone else, then is sobbing the next minute and threatening Jen the minute after. Shaunie was someone I respected until this season. She has sat back and let these hood rats destroy her show and no wonder she worries ppl will think she is a hot mess. It was sickening to watch these bullies in action. What kind of grown woman takes part in a prank that is mean spirited and destructive? If that room smelled so bad I am sure the hotel staff had to take extra measures to get things right again and she should pay for it. I dont want to watch grown (supposedly independent and intelligent women) acting like 14 yr olds at a slumber party.
Royce, you aren’t perfect but the rest of these ladies damn sure make you look it. Shaunie thought she could ruin you by not filming with you? hahahah Jokes on her because your popularity has soared because of it. Thank her for it. I truly believe Royce is the woman she is because she has had a good father present and active in raising her. I know he is hard on you but that’s what a good parent does. Tami and Evelyn could say whatever the hell they wanted but as soon as the other party said anything, a crime was being committed. That’s that bullying shit right there. Truth be told Shaunie and Suzie was being bullied. Shaunie or Suzie better not say anything that goes against Tami. You see where Royce is now in Tami’s book. The difference is Royce doesn’t care, everyone else did. Evelyn and Jen for real could have had their issues resolved a long time ago but that was impossible because Tami didn’t want to see that happen and I’m not to sure Shaunie did either. Tami is so wrong on many levels and not just this episode. She knows it thats why she mentioned moving back to LA. Royce to me has been fair and levelheaded and been honest no matter what the subject.

Royce’s blogs are always spot on.
Two surprising things:
1) Letting us all know that Shaunie refused to film with her, refused to discuss the problem etc.
2) Royce weighing in on Ev & Jenn. If Royce says she has heard all the interviews and read all the tweets and Jenn hasn’t revealed her secrets, then I believe it. I hadn’t followed her that much to know either way.
As many here have said, the ending seemed rewritten for us, the public who have had our fill of the terrible fights that go nowhere. The dinner seemed filmed much later, and the meeting with the pastor. He said all the right things for sure. I have to wonder if Shaunie even understands because very recently in an inteview Roxy posted here, Shaunie said she didn’t think Jenn would want to ‘come across as bullied.’ Well, it was more than that, she was assaulted. And she is embarrassed someone in a business meeting might wonder about her character? Oh now it hits home? When it hits her bank account, her image, her standing in the community, but not when she saw a co-worker/friend being hit with a bottle, a purse, a hand?
Suzie is so weak, it is sad to see a woman of her age want to fit in so badly she will say whatever she needs to. Its clear she is no one’s confidant, but only a ‘good time buddy.’
I still like Royce and hope they will continue to have her blog. I want to see what Jenn does, and Kesha. I hope Tami can watch the show back with a professional because she does not recount things as they really happened. With her heart attack, isn’t that a wake up call? Guess her lame apology via twitter as she was ‘leaving the airport’ (now who’s acting all big, or is that something she can only acuse Jenn of?!) that didn’t even mention Kesha by name is a sad sign that nothing has changed in Tami’s mind or heart or soul.
Royce is always spot on in her blogs! I think Tami’s recent public apologies (wendy williams, etc) were only because of the public outcry. We can see from the episode on Monday night that she is not feeling the least bit bad about how horrible she was to Kesha. Not in the least bit. Royce is just a child that thinks she is right and knows it all. I get tami shaunie and Evelyn. Jen and Royce are just out for themselves. What happened to loyalty? In the tami Keyshia situation I would have been uber annoyed if Royce came at me like she did tami..id be like listen little girl stfu!
Tammi was wrong as hell and Royce was right.If I had a friend and she seen me get out of control and she didn’t tell me about my self than I would be hurt as hell,so Tammi don’t know what a friend is, because she need to take a look back at the people that was around her and ask her self do she really feel that they are her friend.

Yes, I saw part 1 of the reunion and Evelyn and Tammie’s SORRY excuse apologies. Tammie is a straight up BULLY and always communicates like her errors are correct as long as she apologizes for her stupid bulling errors. Tammie can “say anything” about anyone including you Shawnie but you continue to kiss her backside. The front door should be shut on Tammie and Evelyn then the key put the garbage disposal. Tammie thinks ALL PERSONS should kiss her backside, so I wonder if there was someone as big or bigger than her what would be her response? I bet she would not be aggressive with Joan Rivers, Mom Wives or anyone who is bigger than her!!!!! SHE IS A BULLY who needs to experience being bullied!!!!!

Shawnie, I think you know better but you just don’t know how to make better friends. Royce is the person and the new girls are the examples you want to display on TV. But the light has nothing to do with the dark, so Tammie and Evelyn cannot understand the good or responsibility they have to the fans on the show or “THE RESPONSIBILITES OF THEIR ACTIONS ON THE SHOW“!

I agree with every moment Royce has made regarding the show and the women on the show. I watched the Reunion part 1 episode and previews of what is to come on the part 2 episode. I feel there are so many contradicting and Hypocritical comments made by Tami, Evelyn, and Shaunie. Tammi is definitely wrong in what she has done and what she did on these shows. Royce should have done exactly what she did. No real friend will sit back and allow you to do wrong while in your prescense or not, and not tell you what you did. Tammi should have been stopped by Evelyn, Suzie, and Shaunie while this was going on and not allowed it to even continue with Kesha. Tammi feels if someone is not “Hard-core” or handle things in the way she does and how she grew up then, they are considered weak or wrong. No, that is not the case and she needs to learn how to handle things better and not be so judgemental about someone and their situation. She is truly a bully. She states she was violated in some ways growing up, which has caused her anger. Well, she is continuing the “Cycle”. She has violated many of these women and certainly bullied them throughout this show. She is no different just continuing the cycle but in different forms. If she cannot convince someone that her way is right in the way she wants to, then the other person is wrong. By Tammi and Shaunie bringing up some comment that Jen made back during another season to another Cast member, that does not nearly constitute the bullying and comments that we have seen this season towards Jen, Kesha, etc… not nearly, no comparison! The women are looking for anything just to make someone look bad, including Jen, because of how they have conducted themselves. No one advised you to act in the way you have, so please stop. As you stated Shaunie, you all take responsibility, so take it and stop trying to turn things around on the next women to constitute your actions.
Evelyn, also wrong in what she has done with Jen as well. Just because Jen is not saying what the other ladies want her to say to try and make her look bad because the “Viewers” do not see her in that light then she is being fake? I don’t think so! Jen is who she is! She has said repeatly that she is not perfect and has done things that were wrong, but she has every right to react when she is wronged. She handles things a certain way and they handled things another way. If she felt she was dealing with people that are sensible, then i am sure things would have been handled differently, but because the other women put her in this position, now they want to get mad and come down on her all together. Evelyn, keeps making a few comments that Jen made concerning her finance but never anything as personal as she has exposed about Jen. I guess those few comments made Evelyn that upset? Why not talk about that and not allow things to escalate the way they have. I feel yes it could have all been prevented but because it was handled in the way it was, now we have this situation. That is not right! Everyone does not have to do what you guys want them to do. “You made these beds now lie in them.” Even with Nia taking it upon herself to get up and slap Jen, that was her choice to bully Jen and act “Big and Bad”, as if nothing would happen to her. If you want to bully someone then be ready for the consequences that follow.
I certainly don’t blame Jen for not wanting to talk to the other ladies as well with keeping her distance when she knows that you guys talk and befriend Evelyn mainly. Shaunie you and Suzie are the other ones that proclaim to want to stay so neutral but you are still one sided and go back and forth between these women being “Messy” as well. I would not want to talk or speak to you either, but again you’ll blamed Jen and said she was wrong. No, think again!
I feel these women need some serious “Reality Checks”! You are expressing you want change Shaunie, as one of the executive producers, then please start with yourself and your role you played in alot of what has happened as well. Take a look and be honest with who you really are and your interactions with these women and how you handled each situation. Thanks
Meeka was a very smart young lady also, she left because of Tami not liking her, Tami didn’t like her from the beginning of the show. I think Tami has two different personalities. Jealously!! Meeka got big BUCKS. The producers should have never allowed that to go.
