RHONY Recap: Dirty Ol’ Dad
Monday’s episode of The Real Housewives of New York was a bit strange yet still hilarious. I’m convinced Aviva’s father George is one of my favorite people that has ever existed. He’s outrageously funny but like Sonja I don’t think I’d ever want to be alone with him!
So the ladies are headed to Miami! Did you see Aviva’s body? I can’t even believe that she recently had a child and looks like that. Good for her. Inspiring to see a mother of 4 maintain her health! I felt bad for Aviva having to deal with Ramona. I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone be so annoying and crazy. Aviva’s swimming and for some odd reason Ramona is so “worried” about her leg getting wet. Aviva said she was fine, but Ramona wouldn’t drop it.
What I thought was interesting is Ramona talking about Aviva’s ex husband Harry and pushing how much she loves him in front of Aviva’s current husband. Then when they are sitting for dinner and talking about how they love him, Ramona gets offended and says they need to stop talking about Harry. Is this girl taking some meds? She was just saying how much she loves Harry and now “everyone” keeps talking about him. I think as a guest Ramona was being so inappropriate when it came to Aviva. She wouldn’t get off her case! Aviva was trying to tell a story about how her father cheated on his 35 year old girlfriend with a 23 year old and Ramona kept shutting her up. Aviva has the right to speak and if that was me I’d blow the heck up on her!
Carole VS LuAnn: Carole was still upset and embarrassed with the fact that LuAnn asked her friend to borrow a gown. I think it was right of Carole to tell LuAnn how she felt about the situation but I think maybe there was a way she could of been a wee bit nicer just so LuAnn wouldn’t feel so uncomfortable.
Sonja And George: George is one dirty man! I don’t see him and Sonja working it out in the future but I think she handled the situation pretty well!
Hottie of the episode: Heather’s hubby! He’s definitely a stud!
The season’s finally getting interesting and I’m ready for the new girls to burst! Thought’s on Monday’s episode?!

I don’t know why… but I still have a soft spot for Ramona. Is she totally inappropriate? Yes. But I think she does a pretty good job of owning it. She tends to go a little overboard and it can be irritating, but let’s face it…. if we didn’t have the Ramona’s of TRH’s we probably wouldn’t be so tuned in. I genuinely think she tries to come from a good place. In unrelated news, I want Aviva’s body and for some reason, i really like Carole.
I thought this episode was Disgusting,Inappropiate, & Belittling to women everywhere. Aviva’s dad is just a male chauvinist pig. If a man ever spoke to me like that he would get a good slap in the face. Ramona has no filter, I think she must have fried her brain from her Pinot. Her behavior is inexcusable. How could she be so inconsiderate of Aviva about her leg & talking about Harry ? The only thing keeping me watching is Carole & Aviva, this year the rest i am totally over. This show has sunk to an all new level
I agree…Ramona is the new Bensimon..There is something ill about her and it takes the fun out of the show.
I also enjoy Aviva and Carole…They are interesting to watch.
Wish Andy Cohen would get rid of Ramona as well. They (the execs at Bravo) are missing the point by keeping Ramona on. She is TOO Ill.
I am on the fence about this group of ladies. I like Ramona usually but agree that she was way over the top in this ep. She had no business acting the way she did, she was a guest and acted as if she was the host. How inappropriate was it of her to go into the kitchen in the middle of the dinner and tell the servers what is to be served next? Also, Aviva is an adult and a mother of 4, she does not need Ramona to tell her what to do, especially in her own home!
Aviva’s father was funny/uncomfortable at first, but it became very uncomfortable as time went on, even so far as to say disgusting. I do not understand why Bravo is airing blatantly sexual nature as it has with NJ and the men showing their erections and penises, then NY with a man rubbing against a woman with his erection. There is a line that should never be crossed, and Bravo has crossed it. Let’s get back to fun, but mildly appropriate behavior please.
I like Ramona and all, but Im wondering if she too is starting …..MENOPAUSE. Oh no.. I hope she doesn’t turn into Caro…
I found Aviva’s dad to be disgusting! I don’t know how Sonja didn’t slap the $#!? out of him especially when he slunk behind her with his Viagra flag up! Also, please someone tell me, how old is Aviva? She reminded me of a jr high school girl whining to anyone who would listen about Ramona’s treatment of her! Everyone that is, except Ramona! If she had such a problem, which I am sure she did, with the Ramona was ordering her around, why didn’t she just tell Ramona to ZIP IT!?
I thought Carol was very tactful in speaking to Luanne, she got what she had to say across without being ugly or loud. She explained why it bothered her and was defending a friend who she considers to be like family from what she viewed as someone taking advantage! Kudos to her for being the grown up of this episode!
Also I know I am not in the majority here but I love Heather and think she is a great addition to the show!
Oh yeah, I love Heather as well! Actually, she’s my favorite.
I agree, Aviva’s father is the most vile, disgusting man I’ve come across. And they kept saying how ‘handsome’ he was – are you f-ing kidding me?? I’m certainly no prude but this man had my skin crawling.
I remember when Ramona was so disgusted at Alex on the reunion show because Alex had done a topless photo shoot. Ramona got up off the couch and walked out to show her disgust. And now, flash forward, and Ramona is the same one giggling and flirting with Aviva’s father. When he made the orgasm comment to Carolyn I wanted to reach into my TV and punch his ugly face…
OK so Ramona’s delivery is not always good, but she was comong from a place of concern. Truly, gotta love her. Kind of like Teresa and we all love her.
I agree Aviva’s father was classless and gross, just a dirty old fool.
Yes, it was tasteless to watch him in action.
Difficult to believe Aviva is his daughter. Hope is Grandchildren never see this…eewwww.
I’m sorry but thats what aviva gets for kissing ramonas ass way too many times. Did aviva mot watch any of the past seasons? Ramona loves you onw minute and then the next minute talk shit about you with her husband in the bathroom. I found it by far onappropriate when even avivas husband said heather was “jealous” of ramona. I was glad that ramona quickly interupted and said maybe not jealous, but a little insecure. In my opinion, heather has nothing to be jealous or insecure about. As far as avivas dad, i didnt watch last nights episode but i saw last weeks and from the comments about her dad, wow..aviva can you tell your dad to take a seat? How disgusting and inexcused behavior in someones home? Sick! Overall i think aviva is ramonas ass kisser and is looking for “acceptance” from ramona..dont know why? But it seems like in the next upcoming weeks aviva will be taking her lips off of ramonas butt and realizing ramona isnt who she thought she was. I think aviva is a follower..get her off the show please. Shes a piece of meat with no seasoning. Its boring!
I am really tired of Ramona and LuMann. I really like all three of the new gals, especially Carole. Aviva’s dad, for me, was not entertaining at all. He is too desperate and it was just gross. Back to Ramoma….I was a fan, but now she just grates my nerves. The seasoned gals are looken a little lame and predictable as well.
Love the new laies. I haven’t liked this show since season 3. New girls are great
Aviva’s father was disgusting. I saw nothing humorous in his behavior, even though Aviva kept saying how humorous it was to her. He is gross with those horse teeth that are blindingly white. Did Aviva grow up thinking this was normal conversation?
He is incapable of having a normal conversation with a female and there’s his daughter standing there with a smile on her face saying “oh he’s such a sex addict.”
I imagine the stories about his past young girlfriends leave out the part about $$$$. This is the kind of guy who runs a business and there’s a line item on the accounting ledger for entertainment to cover his “girlfriends”.
UGH, Bravo has sunk to a new low – they’re muddling around in the TLC category now. The Real Housewives commodity was firing on all cylinders but will be a victim of their own success.
Ramona – I have to give her props because what you see is what you get. She has no filter whatsoever which is refreshing.
Carole – love her, classy and intelligent and behaves appropriately.
LuAnn – clinging desperately to her 14 min 59 seconds of fame.
Aviva – snotty, arrogant, born on 3rd base and thought she hit a triple.
Heather – why is she on the show? totally forgettable.
Sonja – I can’t decide between amusing and depressing. When I see her I think about the author of the book “I’m Dancing as Fast as I Can”.
Carole…talks a little too much about LuAnn…Everytime she talks..it’s about LuAnn!
Aviva…will learn that Ramona is just NOT ‘normal’…I mean…WTF is wrong with that woman!!??
PS if I had a dad like that, I’d keep him far away from cameras…R u kidding me?? What were you thinking girl?? He is not cute! GROSS GROSS!
LuAnn…..ZZZzzzzzz BORRRING!!!
Sonja…again…ZZZZZZZZZZZZ enough of the stupid Toaster Oven!! Jeezhh
Heather….I like her, Ramona can’t stand her because they are both business women..and Ramona doesn’r like another one on the same show..
I found Aviva’s dad to be disgusting.
SO GLAD that Carol has joined the show and puts LuMan in her place.
