RHONY Ladies Sets The Record Straight
The Real Housewives of New York ladies took to their blog to set the record straight about a few things. Below is a few pieces from each housewives blog discussing their thoughts on Monday’s episode!
LuAnn De Lesseps: Overall, I thought my talk with Ramona went as well as could be expected — since she feels that she didn’t threaten me and I know what I heard on the phone that day, even if she denies it. It’s a case of “she said, she said.” I’d wanted to clear the air with Ramona and move forward, and, in the end, I decided to put this behind me although I do feel that I made a deal with devil. I was surprised that Aviva felt the need to fib about how I shared Ramona’s threats to me with the girls.
Heather Thomson: As you see, Ramona took a shot at me again in this episode during her lunch with Aviva. And while I agree that I have a lot to say and that it certainly appears that I talk A WHOLE LOT, I don’t agree with the “interrupting” comments. My “engaging in a conversation” is a sign of enthusiasm, and when Ramona (of all people) gives me grief about it, it is truly the pot calling the kettle black. I mean, did you see her conversation with LuAnn? It seems that everyone has the same issue when communicating something to Ramona that she does not deem important.
Ramona Singer: If LuAnn wanted to clear the air with me she should have invited me to meet up privately. Confronting me at Sonja’s party was not the right thing to do, and was inappropriate and disruptive to Sonja and her guests. When we finally did meet up, I was not prepared for what was about to happen. I have apologized privately to LuAnn about last year’s reunion, and when that did not seem to be enough, I apologized publicly. LuAnn is very passive-aggressive, which can be equally offensive, and hurtful. I felt pushed against a wall at the reunion. Regardless, I should never have brought up her daughter. People make mistakes, and it’s important to acknowledge and learn from them. Children are off-limits. I apologized immediately and repeatedly. I’m not quite sure what else LuAnn is looking for? When the word “blackmail” came out of her mouth, I was shocked. It sounded like a line right out of a movie. And just like movies, this story was completely fabricated! It is difficult for me to know what else to say about it because there is no truth to it. Not only does blackmail sound ridiculous, but what rewards could I possibly gain from it? I’m not sure why LuAnn has fabricated this story and continued this saga. That is for you to decide. Don’t you think she needs somethIng more relevant to dwell on?
Carole Radziwill: During “Showdown at Bethesda Fountain” in Central Park — cue theme to Gunsmoke — I realized why I feel comfortable around Ramona. She grew up with yellers and screamers and so did I. I didnt even hear my own voice until I was in high school. My favorite moment of this argument, though, is when Ramona, mid-meltdown, pauses to admire her shellacked fingernails. Luann doesn’t seem impressed, even that they last three weeks!
Aviva Drescher: As you could probably tell, Carole and I had a blast shopping together. One of the best parts of this show was becoming friends with Carole. Carole is intelligent, funny, and experienced. Nothing shocks Carole, which makes her easy to talk to. Most of all, she is not judgy. Carole has a calm about her and an appreciation for humor. Carole is a real girl’s girl and vintage shopping was filled with fun and laughter! My first one-on-one with Ramona was lunch at Fishtail and in retrospect I was a bit overwhelmed by Ramona’s theatrics and the darts she threw from the get-go. . .Clearly, Ramona takes some getting used to (Maybe my Stevia sweetener would work on Ramona!). It felt really odd to be thrown into an argument at what I (naively?) thought would be a nice getting-to-know-you lunch. I was definitely not at ease. Chalk it up to inexperience, or whatever, but this was not my favorite moment. I may have been too cautious (or not cautious enough) in dishing it out. But have no fear, my fellow blogosphere friends: it doesn’t take me long. As you will see, I get more comfortable expressing my positions to Ramona in the weeks to follow. I stand up for myself just fine, thank you very much.
Sonja Morgan: Ramona’s comment was that LuAnn was a weekend mother, not a bad mother. Still, Ramona should have never gone there. I still wish Luann would let it go. It’s all getting old. You gotta laugh when Ramona vacillates and says “I don’t have time for this! I don’t even have time for my nails. I get these shellacks now. They last three weeks!” Okay, so now we have time for petty fights with our girlfriend! You can always count on us Housewives for comic relief at just the right time.
Thoughts on what the ladies had to say? Who is your favorite new housewife from RHONY?! What were your thoughts on the episode? Will LuAnn And Ramona ever be able to move forward?

Is it me or is Ramona ALWAYS out of fricking line and feels like she can say whatever she feels the heck of saying to whoever??!?!?
This lady (term used loosely) is a true A$$! She should keep her mouth shut more often, maybe she will learn a thing or two. She has NO CLASS! I pity her husband and daughter. She should lay off the c*ke already.
Sonja is too much of a punk to ever really say what she feels about Ramona. She’s drunk and medicated half the time anyway. ZZzzzzZZZZ
you’re wrong on so many levels. yes ramona can talk too much and she throws digs from left to right. so do the other so called “ladies”. ramona just does it better because she does it in a way that catches you off guard. ramona has guts to say what is on everyones minds and i love that. she truly has no fear. she’s a smart professional business woman with a colorful personality.
sonja is sweet, fun and sexy. she’s gets along with ramona because she truly doesn’t take her seriously and they both know how to have fun together. don’t get it twisted saying she’s a drunk or medicated because you have never seen her get overly drunk or take pills. quit acting like she’s the only one that drinks. all the “ladies” do. they all drink their favorite wine. you almost always see all of them with a wine glass in their hands. doesnt make them drunks.
you know very well without ramona and sonja the show would be boring. especially if it was just the uptight luanne. that is why bravo kept them and got rid of the others. ramona and sonja are the stars of the show.
That is your opinion. Doesn’t make mine “Wrong” and I personally DGAF what you love or what you have to say.
Ramona and Sonja are the stars of the show because they ran everyone else off. In reality RHONY has one of the lowest ratings of the franchise and in decline. Nobody including Ramona and her relabeled wine are making headlines or power moves. Bethany done made up for the entire cast.
Ignorant, that was very ignorant of you!
Your opinion of Sonja and Ramona will NEVER change my opinion of them!
;0)
Love the two blondes or hate them, they ran no one off, Bravo did and for good reason! They are trying to keep a show going not put it to sleep….ZZZZZzzzz
That is so funny….like anyone could make Jill Zarin “run off” or Alex/Simon or nutty Kelly or moronic Cindy. They have no one to blame but themselves for being fired.
AGREE!!
Very trashy!! Sonja and Ramona!
Mario is no better thou…they kind of match each other perfectlllly!!!
Agree
O lord… Ramona is truly a mean woman who is high on her d list celebrity. She and Sonja are shudder & cringe worthy. I wish they represented another city than my own. LOL.
That said the preview clips look like the entire season is women speaking far too loud and shrill for my taste.
The only sane one is Carole – I’m guessing she grand them little access other than what she wants to show. She produced news magazine shows FGS she knows how the game is played. Hopefully she can anchor the show with interesting and intelligent interviews and shots of her life outside the group. Her bf Russ is a cutie.
I like Carole, after last night I thought she was very down to earth, minus the awkward pick up try at the clothes store, lol.
Michers..lol. Yeah, Carole’s lame attempt at pick up swagger was Embarassing… lol.
Yes, really! These “ladies” are not even the “creme dela creme” of NYC or Aristocrats like.
Mario, Ramona and Sonja swing a different game!
Anyway, thi show is washed. Nothing exciting to see Ramona strung high on coke, spazzin and rolling eyes. Sonja, needs to go to AA meetings already. LuAnne should be concerned about having gradnchildren rather than her own baby. She’s too old for that!
The new ladies… no comment. ZzzzZzzz
Me,, haha. After Ramonas epic fail at trying to sell the audience on her fertility (at 55? ) u would think luann would eschew any storyline like that, oh these women…. How truly embarrassing.
I can’t stand Ramona!
I am really enjoying this season so far. My favorite is Aviva as of right now
Hi you guys i lost my way i use to blog all the time here.Well i did try to watch it and really can not stand Ramona, she really gets on my nerves. For me it seems too weird to watch with everyone gone and i really think they should of cleaned house all away around. The new ladies i like alot.I think Luanne and Ramona stick out like a sore thumb compared to the new women.Bethany says she had the one lady with the artificial leg on she’s a friend of hers.So now i have to wait for another show that’s next Beverly hills.i’m into the Kardashians so i have that.see ya
I don’t understand this complaint from Aviva: “It felt really odd to be thrown into an argument at what I (naively?) thought would be a nice getting-to-know-you lunch. I was definitely not at ease.”
She is the one that brought it up. Do you notice that she is a real gossip. And not that bright. Carole very politely and smoothly rebuked her when she tried gossiping about LuAnn and Ramona. At Sonja’s party she tried to gossip with Ramona about LuAnn and Ramona wisely said it was between the two of them. This time, though, she brought the drama by telling Ramona about LuAnn’s blackmail allegation.
Clearly she’s another LuAnn – a gossip that stirs the pot and foments diagreement and anger.
Cajsa – I like the name. Yeah, I found it strange that Aviva would try to say she got pulled into gossiping. It’s way too obvious that she likes to gossip. She would have served herself better if she had said “oh we’ll..that’s me” kind of defense. I was really liking her, but that Has to go on the negative side of the list.
I would like to make a few cast chanes, love Carole trust me this lady will be the next breakout star, luv heather, opinion of Aviva is still open, I think they should have kept one of th other ladies. Miss Alex.
Lisa. I like Carole a lot as well. I don’t know if she will breakout but only because I think she will not give the show access into truly personal areas of her life and/or the show won’t get permission to film at events like an Aerosmith concert or ither more amazing parts of her life.
