RHONJ Recap: Happily Never After
I’m truly irritated after watching Sunday’s episode of RHONJ. My blood is currently boiling! Isn’t it crazy how these reality shows can do that? Isn’t it even more crazy that such an amazing thing such as Jaimie getting married to his partner be ruined by the negativity surrounding him? Ahem. I’m looking at you, Caroline Manzo! The episode starts off with Milania! What’s better than that? Laughed out loud when Milania accused her older sister of texting a boy adding that “daddy should take away your phone!” I don’t think she’s normal! She’s hilarious! Onto the housewives/househusbands
Melissa Gorga: I was a bit scared when Melissa Gorga randomly started acting like she was in a horror movie with her hubby. I think Joe Gorga was even more scared especially because the acting was so terrible! Melissa-stick to your day job–making appearances!
Joe Gorga: Speaking of Joe. I think Joe is a poor excuse for a brother. Reason being is because he makes things so public and wants to make sure everyone knows what he’s doing. For example: how he texted Teresa. Every time he see’s friends or family he has to tell them how he texted her and gets everyone involved. To me that’s not a real man. It also bothers me that Joe Gorga claims he’s so worried about Gia. Back in January, Teresa invited Joe Gorga to Gia’s birthday and guess what…he didn’t show up! For someone who cares so much about their God daughter why not show up to her birthday? Could it be because they weren’t filming for the show and he could care less? Hmm..it’s a possibility!
Teresa Giudice: Both Teresa and Joe Gorga need a therapist if they want to move on. Teresa claims she wants to move forward with her brother than says “but he never listens to me.” That line right there just proved why they need an outsider to speak to both of them and get them to understand each other. Teresa says she loves Kim D because Kim always agrees with her. Just because a friend always agrees with you doesn’t mean their a good friend. I think Kim D was wrong in saying that Joe just needs a therapist. Both Teresa and Joe have made mistakes. Teresa and Melissa have one thing in common. And what is that you may ask? They both don’t know how to take responsibility for their actions on the show! However, week after week Teresa has been apologizing on her blogs for everything she has said or done. Has Melissa done the same? Nope. Surprised? Me neither!
Caroline Manzo: Caroline. Caroline. Caroline. This episode was about your brother celebrating one of the most beautiful and important things in the world yet you were to bitter to even realize that. Caroline immediately made the day about Teresa and blames Teresa for not having relationships with her family and Dina. Caroline says she holds Teresa responsible and refuses to believe that she herself may be responsible. Dina has since denied that Teresa has anything to do with her family problems involving Caroline. Hmm. It’s sad to see Teresa try so hard to be friends and even cordial with Caroline but watch Caroline bash her in all of her interviews and say to her face that she has a headache only after Teresa tried speaking to her. Rude is an understatement. Teresa is excited for Jamie and his hubby and that makes Caroline mad? Caroline complains when Teresa is being positive then complains when she thinks Teresa is negative. Here’s a question: Caroline, what do you want from Teresa? What would make things better? I don’t think you can even answer that! Caroline says Teresa makes things worse for her family while Caroline does the opposite with Teresa’s family. Newsflash: Caroline has only ever bashed Teresa and has told Melissa that Teresa is trying to ruin her and her marriage. Is that what Caroline thinks when she says, she makes things better? The gang is supposed to be celebrating something positive but Caroline continues to be negative. I should just start calling her negative! It suits her better.
Jacqueline Laurita: Forget Jacqueline! It’s all about her hubby! I just love Chris Laurita and think he’s a great guy. Thought it was cute when they were packing together. You can tell Jacqueline has been getting annoyed with Teresa and soon we will see their friendship end. Jacqueline made an interesting comment while watching the rehearsal. She said that Teresa acts like nothing happened with Caroline, acts happy and so on. Hello! Maybe Teresa acts that way because she apologized and they both agreed just to move on! Duh!
Joe Giudice: I don’t think Joe Giudice has a problem with gay people. I think he shouldn’t say things and I didn’t find his comment to Greg laughable in any way. However Joe tries to make a joke out of everything and he’s been like that since season 1. Caroline says Joe Giudice is troubled. I say Caroline is bitter.
Best part of Sunday’s episode: Rosie! Rosie’s story touched my heart and I think she is so strong and adorable! I love the relationship Kathy and Rosie have and think they respect each other as sisters which is so important.
Most annoying part of Sunday’s episode: Caroline Manzo. She claims others aren’t happy but she really needs to look in the mirror.

Sincerely: can someone explain to me the real reasons why Caroline thinks Teresa is responsible to ruin her relationship with Dina? (I don’t buy gossip magazines and can’t catch up with the hole story) I mean, Caroline tries to explain but it doesn’t make much sense to me since she doesn’t say “what” was said, “how” she interfered in their relationship, “when” does it happened… if you don’t want to make these points clear, don’t bring it to the show!
It looks like one of the MANY reasons might be that Teresa told Dina that Caroline was planning to sabotage her in some business deal. That’s just for starters, though, I’ll bet.
Speaking of business deals, I hope that Teresa isn’t seriously trying to peddle that horrible pink crap that she keeps slathering all over her lips. It makes her mouth look like a giant pink glazed doughnut.

The lip gloss deal was what Jac and Bonnie are upset about. This Jac has DM’d to people on twitter. Everyone has received it. Jac (Not Caroline) had the idea of doing Jersey lip gloss and nail products. Teresa received a spokesperson deal and created a product line with a cosmetics company.
The issue with Caroline and Dina has to do with Staying on the show and event planning business. Dina wanted a united front that the ladies would stand with her. Apparently, Caroline stood with Caroline.

WRONG !!! Dina already said that Teresa had nothing to do with it !! So just another lie from Jac and Caroline. We all know that Caroline got mad because she wanted to write a cookbook but noone wanted it , it’s all petty jealousy. And Jamie must agree because he retweeted 3 Negative tweets about Jac and Caroline after last nights episode. And yes , I know Lauren and Albie called him out on it and he said it was an accident , BUT , he did it 3 times and didn’t delete them. Caroline’s own family obviously know she is a piece of crap.
Exactly! Dina immediately blogged after the season 3 reunion to clarify that she and Caroline were not speaking due to reasons that were not Teresa. I wonder when confessionals for this season were taped (half of them Caroline has her new, long hair) because for Jac to blame the falling out between Dina and Caroline on Teresa was a downright lie and ignorant and I think last night Jamie knew that. Jamie is obviously closer with Dina than with Caroline, so i’m sure when Jac started lying about Teresa and Dina he got annoyed (especially because it was probably Caroline telling Jac what to say). And even Chris Manzo (Carolines son) got pissed when Jamie was retweeting people because they were calling out his mom (along with Albie and Lauren). Basically, Caroline looked miserable last night and finally fans are starting to see that she is not this loving homebody figure she was portrayed to be. She is definitely a bulldog, and not a friendly one.
On another note, I was very happy that Melissa was MIA for a good portion of this episode. It perfectly showed that without Teresa, Melissa is boring and doesn’t have enough to offer to carry the show. Whether you like Teresa or not, anything she does, people want to watch. Can’t say the same for Melissa.
Besides Caroline be a miserable person last night (and rest of the season I predict), Jac will annoyed me also. She acts one way on camera (all nice and PHONY) and then in her confessionals takes digs (but couldn’t show up to the S3 reunion?) I’m sorry, but her legitimacy with me is completely gone, especially after the obvious lie, but even more so than that. She tries to manipulate us into thinking she and Caroline are good and Teresa is bad. Last night, she was tweeting badly about Teresa again (calling her phony for saying water under the bridge about the Gia incident), but Teresa never says anything! ever! Yesterday teresa was the only one not tweeting during the show, because she doesn’t need to. She doesn’t need to explain her actions or feelings, because she is real, and shows us exactly how she is feeling. None of this two-faced crap.
Speaking of two faced, I saw Jac posted her blog last night, so I went back and read her first blog and found this: “Teresa cracks me up. I agree with Caroline when she said that Teresa doesn’t even realize how hysterical she really is. I’m sure she will have all of you laughing as well. I love Teresa because she always tells it like it is. She’ll say whatever she is thinking. She doesn’t hold back. You’ll always know her true opinions and where you stand with her. I love it. I love her. I love how much love she has and how proud she is of her family”
So who is the hypocrite now Jac? Teresa still is the exact way this first blog portrays her as and yet you spew hate like no another (but can’t show up to the reunion)
One last thing, Jac tweeted the other day about S5 contracts saying to someone “if only you knew what I knew” hinting that she will be returning. THAT WOULD SUCK.

This episode was definitely Bravo’s way of saying Buh-Bye to the Giudices. Here’s hoping that the era of ugliness, hate, jealousy and prejudice that Teresa and Psycho Joe brought to the show is finally over.

Hardly. What is the storyline of RHONJ without the Giudices? Melissa, Joe and Kathy are on the show, sought by Bravo in the first place because they are Teresa’s relatives. What is the story every single week of the past two seasons with those three? Their relationship with Teresa, their troubles with Teresa, what they do or dont with Teresa. Remove Teresa and what do they have to talk about? That answer would be NOTHING.
Caroline? What’s her storyline? ” I hate Teresa, I hate Joe Giudice, I dont like those kids.” What does she talk about? Teresa, Teresa, Teresa, my underperforming sons are wonderful, my daughter is fat, Teresa. Think she could make a whole storyline that would keep viewers around with her underperforming sons that are wonderful and my daughter is fat?
Jacqueline? She already has no story now that her conflict with her daughter is not being filmed.
BRAVO wont be getting rid of Teresa any time soon unless she refuses to resign a contract when this one is up.
Without Teresa, I think you’d have a cast of basically happy, family-oriented people who look like they’d be a lot of fun to be around. Which is all I really ask for.
And I’d like to see story lines develop on their own for a change, with no manipulation by either Bravo OR the cast. I think Bravo underestimates how interesting people can be based on nothing more than their own everyday experiences.
But only without Teresa.

Happy wife, happy life! Loved the scene in season 1 I believe where joe was eating dinner with his wife and the girls. I am not a fan of how he talks to her at times but thats her husband. She loves him unconditionally and i’m sure they have their own style of bantering or talking to each other that they are comfortable with. Anyways got off topic here. I think samantha could be Jacquiline.
Teresa will never get her own show. In all seriousness, her voice is atrocious and unbearable to listen to for more than one minute at a time. Coaching might help slightly, but unfortunately Teresa thinks she sounds just fine the way she is.
She is also ridiculously inarticulate and not very bright. Even on THIS show you can often see her mouthing the words along with the “scripts” she’s prepared for herself and her daughters. I think that even for Teresa’s most ardent fans this could get annoying very quickly.

Fran Drescher had a show for years with her voice and now she has a new show, so a regional voice is not offensive to the listeners. Your to a fan admittedly so you opinion is limited at best.
Correction: you are admittedly not a fan Sam so your opinion has not basis and is meritless.
Teresa’s first language is Italian, not English. Her English is far better than my Italian. Instead of being negative, consider that when she speaks and try to find the proper translation.
Samantha keeps repeating herself in hopes someone might buy what she’s selling. But just like Caroline, no one wants it! Keep trying honey. You certainly spend enough hours of the day here.

she’s been on 4 seasons of RHONJ, and the focus of 2 of those 4 seasons, you think her voice is really an issue? Come on, Teresa is Bravo’s new cash cow, with Bethenny leaving and Nene on her way out. She was on CA (and not even Bethenny was), is all over doing interviews/tv appearances. I get that you don’t like Teresa, but most viewers are tuning in to see her (whether to agree or disagree with her) and for that you should respect her. She has all different kinds of viewers watching her, which is exactly what Bravo wants. Anything she does, people want to see. Can’t say the same for Melissa, Caroline or Jac. (I do think Kathy is similar to Teresa in that aspect, I think most people enjoy watching Kathy do whatever she does, whether its cook, hangout with her fam, be down at the shore, but I don’t think she could hold her own show because it would seem too perfect and that what family sitcoms are for)
I’ll be the first to admit that I can’t stand Teresa, but what I said about her voice is the absolute truth. Honestly, how could anyone sit through a half hour, let alone an hour of listening to that shrieking whine? Even people who actually LIKE her can’t do that lol!
And to clarify, it has nothing to do with the accent. It’s the voice itself as well as her inability to articulate ANYTHING in a coherent manner.

Bethenny’s voice is annoying, too, though. REALLY grates on my nerves, how she got a talk show I’ll never understand.
The fact of the matter is: Teresa is THE moneymaker for that show. And Bravo would be stupid if they chose not to cash in on that. If you’re going to argue with EVERY.LITTLE.THING. someone says, then for God’s sake learn how to intelligently debate someone rather than resort to juvenile BS.

Fran Drescher had the same problem, but went on to a very successful syndicated show, The Nanny and now she is back on cable TV. So, harsh voices can make you a hit. Fran Drescher was for so many years.

I agree with everything you said Roxy, except about Teresa needing therapy. Not everyone believes in therapy. I really feel that Teresa thinks Joe only wants to offer therapy because of the cameras. I tend to believe that myself. Nothing was ever mentioned about it before Richard mentioned it. Why just because he mentioned it, it is now “the” subject of the season?
If Joe and Teresa would just sit down and talk off camera, and be honest with each other it would go a long way. Joe has called her garbage, F******Bitch and belittled her in every way possible for the public to see. And Teresa knows it is for the cameras and is sick of it. And I don’t blame her one little bit. No doubt Joe would want to go to a therapist ONLY if the cameras followed. If Joe would face her, not text and ask her, she may be more willing to do it. This is just my opinion. Susan I love reading the comments on this blog to! I completely agree with you. Why all of a sudden does he want theropy? The things he does it is all done in front of the cameras. No doubt we all can see the agenda here. Think about it what do you think would happen if she went with him to theropy? I know what would happen these hacks would still sabatoge her and then make it all her fault that things are not working! Teresa don’t do theropy. In fact the immediately family needs to sit down together and discuss their issues if anything will get worked out. Sorry but if there were issues like that in our family my father would sit us down and confront me and my brothers about our actions, attitude and behavior towards each other. Along with telling us how disappointing it would be to my parents and embarrassing to ourselves along with the rest of the family. Especially the children. I agree with off camera therapy. This on camera therapy like Bethenny is just ridiculous. No real therapist agrees to film his or her sessions because the truth would be hard to reveal, since even if they don’t go to a medical doctor, Psychiatrist, but a Psychologist a televised session has no form of doctor patient confidentiality.

I love Tre but she seems to think that all her negative comments are “jokes” and nobody can take a joke. I give her credit for the apologies in her blogs, but it’s not really taking responsibility if you don’t get what you did to hurt someone’s feelings.

I have seen people in therapy on and off for years and truth be told they are no better off today than when they started. It does make the therapist a whole lot of money though. People need to sit down and talk to teach other about facts not feelings and act like adults. HWAddict, there is something to be said for that. In past seasons, Joe and Chris seem to be good buddies spending time together. Now I can’t speak for this season since I am not watching, just what I hear and see in clips. Seems to me that questionable and dishonest actions are standard operating procedures for the Laurita family as well and being “above the law” might just be acceptable in their circle of friends and relations.

I think I’m officially done with RHONJ. I watched about ten minutes of this episode, turned the station and never looked back. Every single thing that I loved about this show is gone and with it so is my viewership.

Yup, I stopped many episodes ago now. Bravo has sucked the fun out of this show by making it bash Teresa hour.
This show was so fun the first season (the girls in AC, etc…). It has turned so dark. Caroline is so angry, it is painful to watch. Dina has stated Teresa has nothing to do with their feud. Caroline should smile for the cameras, and take her paycheck. I think (just my opinion) she has given herself no storyline (but hater), and Bravo is going to focus more on the Guidice/Gorga families, and let her leave. She obviously does not want to be on the show, and she should go if she can’t/refuses to film with the rest of the cast. After all, it is an ensemble cast.
Makes me sad.
Remember all the talk about BUBBIES and the light heartedness (not including Danielle) That’s when the show was fun.

I am not happy with Joe Giudice at all, and I do think he has a drinking problem. I do not think he meant to be hurtful-but he was. He was drunk, but he was wrong to act this way. I love Teresa but I do hope she gets a fun cooking show and stays far away from this hot mess. This show is just sad now. Bravo had something wonderful and turned it into something appalling and disgusting.

Someone correct me if I’m wrong but I distinctly recall at the S1 reunion when Andy Cohen brought up Joe Giu calling the dancing lesson gay, that it was Caroline who defended him. Caroline said that her gay brother had EMBRACED Joe Giu. Now she claims that he barely met Chef Jamie and that she was worried he would offend her bro. This is just one more example of what a hypocrite Caroline was. Incidentally Jamie seemed to get along great with Joe Giu, and it was OBVIOUS they had a prior friendship.

Teresa obviously was trying to put everything behind her and Jac. instead of supporting her efforts and being critical of CaroManzo’s rudeness, supported Caroline. Just shows me how she has digressed. Oh well, to me they have become just ridiculous. I don’t believe Rosie was just coming out to the Wakile kids. Come on. I like Rosie, but don’t like the way they exploited the girls who were catering. I am sure they felt uncomfortable and the hot tub scene was nauseating. I think they carried it too far. The Bravo preview clips of an extremely sour looking caroline was more than enough for me to see just how bitter and self centered she is. It’s a huge event in her brother’s life and she can’t suck it up and put on a happy face? Instead she’s seething with hate and pouting, a lot like Gia, whom she reprimanded for doing the same. At least Gia had the descency to do it away from everyone else & she’s only 10! I don’t care how much you hate someone, if you love your brother, you put all of that aside and help him celebrate.
The rest of the episode sounds like it was more of the same. Everyone talking about what a horrible person Teresa Giudice is. And the Gorgas couple ‘acting’ and playing out every last interaction they had with Teresa for the cameras. Yawn.

I don’t think a true homophobe would travel with homosexuals OR attend their weddings. It’s not like Juicy J enjoys being on-camera, I don’t think he went just to be featured on TV.
That came out kinda choppy.. basically saying IF he was a homophobe, there’d be no reason compelling enough to get him at that wedding, especially since he’s totally disinterested in camera time (unlike certain other househusbands..)
Teresa has taken responsibility for things SHE DID and things SHE SAID. She can’t do anything more than that. If people don’t believe her apology, there’s nothing more she can do so it’s time to move on. I give her credit for knowing that.
I think Caroline and Jac want her to SUFFER because they are freezing her out-but she refuses to do that. Teresa is going to try and focus on the positive, no matter what, and she has a LOT of experience doing just that. If Jac and Caro want to be miserable that’s THEIR choice, not Teresa’s.
I understand T’s reluctance to see a therapist. She doesn’t think there’s any underlying, hidden ‘thing’ that she and Joey need to work on in order to get along, and that’s what she thinks therapy is. What they need is a mediator-someone who could listen to both of them and interpret what they are both saying, and if that’s a therapist, then so be it.
I think she is done talking to Caroline because she knows the only end result that Caroline will accept is Teresa saying that Caroline is 100% right about everything and saying that she will follow Caroline’s lead in all things-and Teresa ain’t gonna do that (and neither would I). If you know you don’t agree with a person, better to just let the disagreements be, and find some common ground where you CAN get along. Sadly, Caroline won’t let that happen. She wants total capitulation to HER WAY…aka Jacqueline.
By the way, I was on twitter last night, and I didn’t see anything negative being RT’d by Jamie. Can someone enlighten me?

Last night jac was tweeting during the show constantly bashing t. I sent ger a tweet about how she claims to be over it but yet she continuously talks about t. I also said to her that it’s clear from t’s blogs and twitter she has moved past it. Jac sent me a dm saying t talks shit around town and doesn’t have the balls to do it publicly. I think it’s funny she gets mad when t justifies her actions but she’s doing the same thing. Even if t is going around town if you were over it you wouldn’t let it effect you, I mean you’re grown women..

I don’t think she was saying it was BRAVO’S fault, but that I guess she thinks Andy Cohen is some kind of internet cop that has the power to make it stop and punish the guilty? I can totally see Jac and/or even her mother calling up BRAVO/Andy screaming that they expect him to do something about all the ABUSE they’re suffering and demand he take action. you can pretty much sum up the Manzos and Gorgas in one word when it comes to Teresa “Jealous” . At least they could give T credit for going out and working her tail off for her family and not complaining while doing so .
I’m not sure how this is going to be perceived but I have a real issue with Teresa after last night. I love her and have since season 1. However there is something very wrong with her laughing along with Joe Guidice when he makes gay ccomments. Frankly they aren’t just comments in a general way but really crass and disgusting remarks. That was unforgivable what Joe said to Greg last night. I felt like aslapping Teresa in the face when she sat there like a hyena pretending Joe Guidice was funny. He was not. I think somebody, anybody on that party bus should have spoke up and told Joe how wrong that was. Regardless Teresa should have said to her husband shut up and your cut off from liquor at the very least. Disgraceful and there is no excuse like oh joe doesn’t act for the cameras blah blah. Why weren’t more of you affected by this scene? It was dirty and I literally covered by eyes after he said it. Shameful. You may not like Greg and I’m sort of ambivelent but he is a human being and that Joe Guidice comment was personalized and horribly offensive. Teresa needs to be a real woman and stand up for what’s right. She did not last night. Neither did Caroline. She says all this talk about her family and donrt mess with them but what is Greg? He lives with her sons and is filming as a close family friend yet caroline stays quiet while he is humiliated? Caroline is a fraud and plays both sides of every fence. Teresa, please wake up and I hate to say this cuz I can’t stand caroline but quite honestly it looks like Joe Guidice has a serious drinking problem. Get him help Teresa before he destroys the reputation of those 4 little girls before they are even old enough to have one.
