RHONJ Recap: Talking It Out In Napa!
Sunday’s episode was a really…calm episode. It started off with all the housewives getting along and no one talking about each other. They were all just getting along and actually enjoying their vacation..if that’s what you want to call a vacation! It was really nice to see. I could get used to this although I know I won’t be able too!
Watching the housewives and househusbands attempt to surf was disturbing to say the least. Stick to doing whatever it is that you people do!
We get to see Melissa Gorga and Teresa Giudice reminisce and it was great to see them bond and have fun together. They should realize that the show would be a lot better if they were all on the same team.
Lauren Manzo: Oh boy. Lauren is just annoyingly sensitive. Beyond sensitive. So sensitive I almost attacked my TV thinking I’d get to her and shake the sensitive out of her! She’s so attached to her brothers, it’s quite weird. They’re all very close and she keeps thinking about the future and if they’ll get along in the future. Why can’t she just accept what they are now and be happy? Imagine what Lauren will do if Albie or Chris marry a Melissa? What I mean by that is a girl that Chris and Albie always stick by no matter what? It’s only normal that Lauren and her future sister-in-law will get into an argument so can you imagine what Lauren will do if Chris and Albie always take there wife’s side like Joe does Melissa’s? Lauren talks very disrespectful to her boyfriend Vito. Albie agrees and points it out. I don’t really understand how Vito likes the way Lauren acts especially that she acts that way in front of her family. Chris makes a joke and Lauren flips. Caroline then says, “I can’t help crazy, Christopher.” And for the first time I agree with Caroline. Lauren was acting all kinds of crazy! Glad she slept on it and didn’t let the night ruin her whole trip.
Jacqueline and Teresa: Teresa slickly gets Jacqueline to come and talk to her. Caroline seems annoyed. Probably because she won’t be listening to the conversation and putting her two sense into it. She’s obviously afraid they’ll mend their friendship. We all know Caroline doesn’t want that! Teresa explains that she was very hurt and Jacqueline believes Teresa was fake throughout their friendship. Teresa makes a good point saying they talk on the phone everyday which makes me wonder why Jacqueline wouldn’t ask questions on the phone. Why does she need the cameras to be rolling? A true friend wouldn’t bring that stuff up on camera. Jacqueline believes a true best friend tells each other everything. She’s wrong on so many levels. If Jacqueline was so worried about Teresa and had questions, she should ask and trust what she says. That’s what a true friend does. Joe Gorga mentions on the episode how good of a friend Jacqueline is…uh. He must not be following Jacqueline on twitter and seeing her bash Teresa over and over again for the last 8 months.
Aw Moment Of The Episode: Joe Giudice And Joe Gorga Hugging. It was cute in an odd yet scary yet still gross way.
Best Quote From The Episode: “The crazy bitches are not misbehaving.” -Albie Manzo. That should explain why I find him so attractive! Looks and he’s hilarrrr!
LOL Funny Moment: Melissa falling into the water. Her facial expression was super funny. You could tell she was really afraid but you can’t help and laugh while she finds her way out of the water!
On next weeks episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey..we see Joe storm away from the group and answer a shady phone call. Teresa walks over when he says “hold, my bit*h wife is coming.” I just have no words. Joe Giudice obviously looks guilty and I kind of just wish Bravo would have not aired that only because the New Jersey kids are so involved in the show and obviously watch it. Imagine how Teresa’s girls are going to feel after seeing that air.

WHy is bravo playing with the schedule. Next week there will be no new episode. Reediting. Trying to stretch it out, can’t get anyone to cone to the reunion. Does anyone know this is weird. They usually only skip new episodes if it is a holiday.
The others are refusing to film with Teresa, like they did with Danielle. It is their way to have Teresa fired for season 5. The flaw. To this plan is Teresa is the money maker, the rateings draw, and the source of their storylines.
Really? That’s not a good look for Jacqueline to miss two consecutive reuions. She needs to take several seats and hope and pray she’s employed next season.
I wish Jax would miss every episode. Forever.

It’s kinda of weird how they are all twitting and showing pictures of being together today, except for Teresa? They are cutting their own throats if they fire Teresa because she is the show! The rest are so boring and don’t have any story lines without her. They do not have one scene without mentioning her name or something about her. Skip the reunion and replace everyone except Teresa and bring on the new group!
That is what the other sites where sayin. They all agreed that the plan is kind of silly because Teresa is the topic of all they do. One even said it may and will backfire and they are the ones let go.
Seriously? If thats the case then they need to can the rest of them or start filming teresa and her family without the rest of the hacks! Besides jacquiline should of been fired already for not going to the reunion so she has no room to make demands on who they should be filmed with! Seriously bravo has the balls to air a lot of crap that can possibly end up hurting those kids but they don’t have the balls to stand up to the people they hired (their employee’s) who bring barely any ratings and make bravo not air a regularly scheduled show. I didn’t even watch it last night, why watch it when I can read about it. It’s actually more interesting to come here and see clips and read the commentary of each show in addition to roxy’s recap. I have all I need here to stay up to date and current with all the goings on with this now lame show. They need to give T. her own show and start now. If I were bravo I would give the rest of the cast an ultimatum that either they film with her or lose their contracts. If they end up complying then I would make sure to bring danielle to the reunion (ohhhh what the ratings would be on that night) I would pay to see them sneak her onto the reunion!
Does anyone else notice on the social episodes that Bravo is only putting up nasty things about Teresa and nice about Others? I am so sick of Bravo trying to control the audience. We get it Andy you love the Manzos and everyone but Teresa. Between the failure to post all the blog feedback on BravoTV and now this it seems like they are still trying to set Teresa up as the villain, why I have no idea. No one can articulate why Teresa is a bad person, or what exactly she has done to be so reviled. I think it’s jealousy.

They’re forcing Greg on us because the Manzo boys are desperately trying to get a spin-off show which would feature the two of them and Greg. He has a real life job and everything but he lives with the Manzos for free (I’m not sure if its Bravo or the building itself, but they don’t have to pay rent).
He is staying in their apartment until they receive news about the show being picked up or not. Greg’s boyfriend just moved to NYC so I’m SURE he’d rather be there with him–not his college friend and brother…
All of the Greg and Manzo bros stuff is just Bravo testing the market for a show all about them…

According to the Bravo site, there will be a new episode on August 19th, but they have been preempting too many new episodes to the extent where this season feels like it’s been dragged out.

I took it back when she had the chance to cowboy up and be honest and real and talk to Teresa more specifically, but she hid her face because T called her bluff. Jac wanted to keep going with her and Caro’s “story” plot and was not expecting Teresa to keep it real with her! She had nothing really to say.. because there is NOTHING! How does she not understand that Teresa owes her nothing that personal? Why is she hell bent on getting in her biz like that and then getting mad about not knowing it?

When my close friends are in trouble and it gets back to me on the rumor mill, I have always said the same thing. ” you don’t have to tell me anything until you r ready. I don’t need any details but I am there if you need me.” I feel that when the chips are down sometimes it is most helpful to be the safe haven that DOESNT ask questions.

They weren’t just tabloid stories, they were stories from legitimate news sources.
These sources stated, factually, that Teresa had tried to hide a $250k book advance from her creditors and the federal government in her bankruptcy claim.
Had she not been allowed to withdrawal from filing for bankruptcy (does anyone actually believe she WANTED to?), she could easily been sentenced to a long stay in jail. Fact.

I think she’s playing the role she signed off on st the beginning of the season. “tre won’t tell me things that are going on in her life so I don think she is a real friend”. It’s so transparent. She may as well have said, “tre we need a storyline and if not abut u, then who! Please tre, let us step all over your loyalty and ur friendship. We need a check too ya know.

You’e not overreacting. Caroline Manzo is a HORRIBLE MOTHER. I still think LAUREN was seriously out of line in that little scene. Clearly, it was about a lot more than Chris making one little joke. There’s A LOT going on just below the surface with that family that caused Lauren to react the way she did. But I don’t think most ppl would consider her reaction to Chris’ words THAT night “reasonable”.
I totally get where you are come from, but I have 2 older brothers…..they teased me incessantly throughout my years. To the point of now..l.li am 39 years old. Married. 3 kids. But I get around my brothers and I am 15 again. Caroline should have stepped in. The problem is while the boys think nothing of their antics, it can get old…..quick. I admit…I might have thrown a tantrum once or twice….
Me too. Same thing. And when you are the one being teased and nobody has your back it just would be helpful to have somebody validate your feelings. If they know she doesn’t like it it is cruel to keep doing it. Brothers can be tough. I also have two of them.
Srt_3. O brother have u said a mouth full. As mich as I love my brother and cherish my parents there are old “roles” that we fall into even now tht we’re adults. And as u said, some of those roles aren’t roles we want to play. At all.
It gets old, and it gets old quickly. 99% of the time, I’m fine with it. But tht 1% of the time I’d like to say, “enough” and be heard. But easier said than done.

I think Lauren is upset that the boys are trying to become famous and get their own show with greg.. its like they have replaced her with greg because shes fat. i also think caroline has told her thats why viewers arengt interested in her. Remember she said its all about the boys last season.. and she wants to lose weight so she can be rich like the boys? I completly believe Caroline has convinced her own daughter that people arent interested in her because of her weight. She is sensitive because of her own shitty mother.

For all the ribbing I took and still take from my brother, my parents were so supportive of me. My dad thought I was a freakin genius “dad, calm down its only a glass of water”. Lol. My mom thought I was an amazing game planner – she would say, “u set goals, u define ur plan and u execute ur plan”. So anytime I wanted to accomplish something that’s what I did, I sat down and drew up a game plan. Because it was positively reinforced in me. Because I was good at it. And because I had confidence that by doing so I would succeed and meet my goal.
For a girl especially, having ur mom speak kindly about u is vital. Caroline tells Lauren she’s ugly & fat. And then says “oh but so what”. As if to say, “there’s not a prayer anything will ever change it so give it up and don’t let it get u down”. Damn. What a downer bitch she is.
Tough road ahead of Lauren if she wants to reframe her mothers view of her.
Do not forget, she also called her own daughter ‘STUPID’ in season 1..
i thought her brother called her an a-hole?! caroline called her crazy. i personally think she wasn’t over reacting. they were being rude to her, picking on her and getting involved in her and vito’s little argument. they saw she was getting upset and they kept going. big red as one of her sons called her took her precious sons side. lauren told the truth when she said they’re always mean to her and caro wants to lie and act like their little angels. caro is the reason why lauren feels left out. i actually felt sorry for her.

I vacillate on this, because I think Caroline is the reason for Lauren’s issues, and I DO believe Caroline favors her boyz, but at least THIS week, I don’t feel a smidgen of sympathy for Lauren. That freak out was about getting attention and control.

Teresa and Jax were friends for over 10 years. I would expect my friend to support me over someone they just met. It is obvious that her SIL and cousin were willing to air out the dirty laundry in exchange for a career in music and cook. If Jax was a real friend she would acknowledge it to Melissa and Kathy and tell them they need to take accountability for their actions in order for both families to have peace.

I think Teresa was looking for loyalty from a friend. One who clearly wasn’t a friend anymore. She’d heard bitter caroline complain about no one wanting her cookbook now that Teresa had gone ahead and done hers first. (like that was the reason hers didn’t get picked up…hahaha. I normally see Lauren as kind of harsh to other people, but I empathize with her overreaction because I can see why she would feel left out. I did think Caro and Albert were a little blunt about her weight in previous shows…and if they were mild for the cameras I can only imagine what they said to her before the cameras came along. No one wants their kids to be unhealthy, but I feel like for her parents, it’s a image thing, not purely out of concern. And her brothers have been kind of harsh to her. That joke that her kids would be sweaty koala bears with chubby arms. I agree Lauren seems very bitter and I don’t think Caro’s “tough love” is going to work here. If things don’t change, I see Lauren becoming the wealthy but cold hearted boss no one likes to work for. Ice Queen.
Lauren needs to get a life outside of her brothers and mother and not with Vito. I don’t think he’s worth a rat’s ass (which he showed on Nat’l TV). You can’t always have a loving supportive family and you don’t have to feel guilty about not being around them. If Lauren marries Vito she will turn into an old bitter hag like her mother.
