RHONJ Recap: Camping Just Isn’t For Everyone!
I want to start off this recap by apologizing for the delay! Had a wedding last night so wasn’t able to watch Sunday’s episode until just about an hour ago! Moving along..I see you all have a lot to say about yesterday’s episode! I came to the realization that camping just isn’t for everyone! Especially those New Jersey folks! Lol!
I don’t have much to say about the episode. I thought it was a fun episode with everyone really excited about the trip. Like always, Caroline was bitter and talking about Teresa even though they were no where near each other. Watching this, I see Jacqueline really wants to move forward with Teresa. Then I hear Caroline in the back of her head adding her two sense to it because that’s what Caroline does.
I think it’s silly that Kathy acted confused when Teresa called her out about claiming who’s recipes were who’s. Technically Kathy didn’t use the word “recipes” and said “that’s my moms ___” but we all know what she meant. I do find it odd Kathy goes back to the Laurita’s and Manzo’s and tells them about her conversation with Teresa. Only reason I find it odd is because when Kathy has a conversation with the Laurita’s and Manzo’s she never runs back to Teresa and tells her about it and that’s her family. Seems like someone may be trying to hard..
Melissa and Teresa were getting along and it was great to see. Richie had me cracking up half the time!

It’s funny how much I’m not looking forward to watching Teresa’s family and friends pretend once again to be trying to get along with her, or pretending that they have some real serious reason to not want to be friends beyond jealousy. I think I wish they would all be forced to read each negative and positive (well thought out) comment about them and be forced to respond. I’m sick of Caroline saying things like..I won’t sell out my family, yet she’s willing to sell out someone elses. I’m frustrated with producers/Bravo turning a once funny, upbeat type show into something so disgusting in it’s portrayal of family. I wish that I didn’t feel the need to see this season to it’s conclusion. See you all at 10 EST.

Lysel- Judging from the comments on Bravo (i’ve read most of them for each cast member), it doesn’t seem as though we as fans are doing enough to voice our opinions about getting the wakiles, gorgas and manzo/laurita’s off the show and/or exposing them for their hate. Kathy and Melwhore knew exactly what they were doing to Teresa when they came on the show and to me, they have no remorse for what they’ve done.
No remorse indeed.
The only thing the fans can do IMO is stop watching, and especially stop tivoing the show because the DVR companies log those stats. I don’t care what Andy says, the network lost millions allowing fans’ opinions to control casting decisions. The only way they’ll ever do that again is if they have solid ratings backing up what the fans are saying.

Exactly how I feel. I’m more so starting to feel that Bravo is putting themselves too much into the shows with showing their agendas. I wonder if Bravo has any stake in any of the companies that have come about because of this show. Maybe too much conflict of interest? -.-
I feel the same way! I wish I had not invested in this season at all. I want to watch the shows and laugh at how ridiculous the women are. Or watch them having fun and being silly like the catskills trip last season.
BRAVO put into the new contracts that they get a portion of anything the girls sell or promote from the show. But I believe Teresa was in before this. Hence the reason Bravo makes her pay when they do episodes featuring her cookbooks. Like last season when they showed her photo shoot at home as well as the trip to see the food that was being photographed for her book.
Oh, wow. I hadn’t looked into the whole Bravo getting paid for that stuff but it just became too obvious, especially with RHONJ.

Melissa told Teresa the main thing that she needs to be told — Stop DOING things that piss people off and then blaming it on, “Well it was BODDERIN’ me!”
Did eirther of you stop to think that unless you tell that person they may not know it bothers you or them?
Most people know in advance whether or not they’re about to say something hurtful to someone — they accomplish this by imagining how they would feel if they were to be told the same thing. It’s called The Golden Rule. Another new concept for Teresa.

You should write a book, placating insanely jealous famewhores for fun and profit. Explain to Teresa how she can stop bothering them when what bothers them is that she exists and is popular and successful while they’re miserable failures hated by everyone.
They are not bothered because she exists. They are bothered for the reason I very plainly stated — that she says unforgivably spiteful and nasty things to people. Which is never going to change because that is exactly what she is.
And she’s neither successful not popular, despite the fact that she was on CA (a show for has-beens), signs books in strip malls, “sells stuff,” and has “stuff coming out.” I’ve had these Pulitzer Prize worthy talents pointed out to me before.
And you’re confusing popular with infamous. But then I don’t think Teresa knows the difference, either, or cares.
If Celebrity Apprentice is a show for has-beens that explains why Caroline felt like she was entitled to it.

IF(!) that’s true, I wouldn’t feel too disheartened if I were Caroline. The sole reason they chose Teresa was because she’s a tabloid freak, who btw, failed to deliver. No future jobs are going to arise out of that performance.
Ok Samatha I have to put my two cents in and give you some fact -
The reason nobody gets along with Teresa is not because she is the problem – it’s becuase they are purposely trying to put her in a bad light and here are two prime examplese:
The Fancy Food Show occurred 1 week before the Chicago trip in which Chris invited everyone to Napa. So please explain how they were uninviting Teresa to a trip they had yet to invite her too. The restuarant name shown on the episode is a DC is actually a DC and when Chris Laurita was talking abt meeting with the guys that occured a week before the Napa trip. Can you explain that?
Also Antonia’s party occured on Sept 10, 2 days before Gino’s Birthday may I add. The scene with Joey and Teresa, where JOey was urging Teresa to talk about the fight with herself and Jacqueline while Jacqueline was walking up, was a set up. Teresa already talked to Jacqueline and tried to make amends before the Napa trip at Kathy’s tasting which mid-august. So why would Joe try to bring up something that occurred over a month before hand?

And yes CA does make her very successful for the Real Housewives franchise. First, it is a show on the same network. Second, it showcases celebrities working for charities and their philanthropic side. Third, it is a stepping stone to other NBC or other network projects like NeNe leaks on The New Normal. Please, Samantha you have absolutely not idea what you are talking about,
As for not doing anything spiteful, well no one is a mind reader. Normal and civil people talk about what bothers others. We do not read minds, but of course in your delusional world you likely believe they do.
Everyone on this show has said tongue and cheek remarks. Teresa has done the least provocative of the group. Chris Manzo was the one that put it out there and his aunt Dina has no problem with it. Most people thought it was hilarious and not serious. It wasn’t stated seriously in Teresa’s book either. Take your head out of your butt Samantha and stop defending Melissa because she is an instigator. It is patently obvious Melissa instigates these situations.
@Mel ~ The part about Teresa being invited or uninvited doesn’t mean anything since they were all ordered to go to Napa by Bravo.

I realize that it was a bravo funded trip so then if they all knew they were contracted to go, why even talk about uninviting Teresa a week before she was even invited?

Let me put it to you in simple terms. JoeGorga was trying set up Teresa and Jacqueline to fight @ his daughters birthday party.
During Kathy’s tasting Teresa spoke to Jacqueline and said let bygone’s be bygone’s.
Kathy’s tasting was on Aug 22nd. Teresa and Jaqueline looked to be getting along in Napa.
Napa trip occurred at the end of Aug and they all returned on 9/3.
Antonia’s party was on 9/10.
Why would Joe Gorga intentially bring up the fight between Jaq and T if he new they ended it?
And of course you will say you dont understand becuase that shows Teresa was set up and everybody is attacking her and that’s why she doesnt get along with the cast.
Oh. It looked to me as though Joe and Melissa were trying to get Teresa and Jacqueline together so they could talk. I think they both wanted them to make up and become friends again.
The time line doesn’t make sense because Teresa was responding to Joey’s questions as if the fight had just taken place and she acted as if it was her first time telling him about it.
If Joey was trying to get them to make up, why didnt he say, “hey Jacq come here” and talk to them both instead of egging Teresa to talk bad about Jacq, making it seem like he agreed with Teresa that Jaqc tripping over Tabloids was BS as Jacq was walking over.
Why he choose to let Teresa continue talking about it and not give her a heads up that Jaq was coming?
I don’t mean to be rude, but I stopped caring about this about five minutes ago.

why is it that anytime someone has an opinion that isn’t pro-tre or pro-guidice, they’re called trolls? I don’t get it. I always presumed a blog was to express ones opinions/views without getting bashed by other writers. So what if we’re not Team Gorga or Laurita, or Guidice. We watch the same episodes, we read the same gossip, we have the same information and people are entitled to have their own opinion. Last time I wrote on this blog, I was called a troll, accused of being Melissa and other things just for stating an opinion.
Not sure if this blog was set up for all the Reality Housewives news or for only the wives that have been ‘approved’ by the people who write in. What will people do when the show goes off the air?

I couldn’t agree with you more. I too have been accused of being a troll or a Melissa friend/relative for simply stating an opinion about Teresa. I got to the point a long time ago, where now I just read and rarely comment. I don’t think Teresa is at fault for most of what goes on, but do see where she contributes to issues sometimes.
I am not calling anyone a troll. I just find it interesting that when facts, not tabloid or rumors are pointed, Samantha chooses to no longer argue her point.
The fact is, although all these woman and Bravo are playing us to a point, this season’s episodes are made to make Teresa look bad. All the editing and the scene set up are funny as hell and Antonia’s party is the prime example of it. All of these woman, including Joe Gorga, talked about going to California knowning they had already come back.
That was a scene concocted by Bravo and the only reason I can think of for Bravo setting up the scene was to force Jacqueline and Teresa into another fight. And then Joe Gor and Melissa can come in and say, ‘See, Teresa ruined another kid’s party.’ But Jaqc and Tre chose not to fight and walk away so instead the scene was filled up with crap like Joe Gorga getting a tattoo and Teresa playing wiht her kids and Melissa getting her makeup done.
Do you honestly think they would have showed those scenes if Teresa and Jacq did fight?
IMO and EJJ: i don’t know either of you and i don’t know what type of comments you two have posted. as to why you have been called trolls i can only think it’s because this blog has a few everyday resident trolls that like to come in here and piss off teresa fans just for the sheer enjoyment of it. so people like you two that just want to come in here and give your opinions are lumped together with the resident trolls. that’s what i think or it could be that you posted something that was untrue and when you do that you will get pro teresa fans that will reply back with their facts. that’s just the way it is. there are plenty of anti teresa sites that will better suit you if you can’t handle this place.

Samantha is a troll this we have known since April of this year. She has gone out of her way to disparage posters on this log, state information without facts (knowing the Gorgas personally), stating disturbing comments about a minor child Gia Giudice in sexually explicit ways, and all around just nasty comments. Therefore, Samantha is the very definition of a troll in any lexicon.
Mel, or anyone else: Did you notice that Antonia has 2 birthdays? LOL. Did she not have one in the winter as well, with “If the Bow Fits”? Im pretty sure Mel posted pics and tweeted about it and it had nothing to do with this birthday!
What I noticed was Gino standing out front starting at the set up that episode. Gino’s B-day is 9/12 yet Antonia had a party on 9/10.
Why didnt Melissa throw a combo party for them both? Melissa made such a big deal on twitter how she threw parties for them all yet Antonia had a party 2 days before Gino’s birthday and Gina had a small birthday cake in a resturant. Funny stuff. Poor kid. Gives new meaning to that scene where he was standing out front looking, dont ‘cha think.

2. Kathy you said that your about respect, how is it old school to betray a family member consistently on national television especially considering that your mother cried at the broken relationship between her and her brother (t’s father)? Is this old school and what it means to be ITALIAN?

Can anyone answer this: When the reunion aired, people were going back and forth about the others joining behind T’s back and Andy said NOTHING! Why did he say something the last time T was on WWHL with her hubby a little while back? Teresa was right and justified with her feelings and explanation..
I think we’d have better luck taking up a collection from all of the websites that hate them & offering it to a Bravo employee to leak it then Bravo actually releasing it. There’s probably some confidentialaty clause in Gorga’s contract that will never let us see it if it even exists.
The Gorga’s were pretty desperate to get on, so I don’t know how far they would have pushed, to ensure, that their tape would never be seen.
But that’s why the fans need to be louder that they want the whole truth. If enough fans demand, then it will be shown.
Yea…but Melwhore is incapable of telling the truth and I want her outed on her lies and lack of remorse for destroying a family. (seriously, all you have to do is watch some interviews, get recaps on twitter and other social media and then you’ll see, she’s a straight up liar).

Bravo does not deserve the ratings, but, I am glad that my friend watches. I get to watch it, while not giving Bravo the ratings.

Lets face it, Lauren was morbidly Obese and lazy. I’m not going to lie and say she was beautiful. We had no time for therapy or personal trainers. In order for Lauren to become rich and loved (like her successful brothers) we had to take drastic messures.
We had to lose the weight quickly so that it could be a storyline for Lauren on RHONJ. But that should not be construed as the Fambily selling ourselves to the network. That is NOT what we did. Ignore the man behind the curtain.

I work in mental health, and we call this enmeshment. I see it a lot in families where one parent (usually the father) is sort of an absentee parent. I have seen it cause certain things that I would consider almost sexual abuse in that those lines are so blurred that the mother is unaware that she is having her intimacy needs met by her male child. It is VERY unhealthy… especially for the child. They end up stunted, and usually confused about sexuality and intimacy, and the mom ends up being intimacy jealous of any girls that the male child attempts to have a relationship with. The saddest thing is that the mother is so selfish that she, at some level, realizes that she is being inappropriate with her male child, but her needs are more important than that child’s emotional health. I was briefly married to a guy like this many years ago, and ew. His mother always reeked of desperation with him and was SO inappropriate with him. He was a very confused guy, and is now on his 3rd or 4th marriage…. mama successfully creeping out any girl he tries to be intimate with. I feel bad for these boys, they are starting out with a huge obstacle in emotional intimacy that they may never get over.

Man o man was Caroline nothing but negative (duh surprise…) and the only one going on and on… and I sure did notice how when Whack was saying something about the possibility of mending hers and Teresa’s friendship, her head just about started spinning. Then I said to myself, I wonder if Chuckie is not responsible for the whole upcoming ‘expose’ of Meho at the fashion show.

I think that on some level, Lauren realizes how lame she (and her brothers) are. So, she attempts to feed a good line to make them look a little better to outsiders. Problem is, this is a pretty small world, and they are on television, so it’s a bit harder to lie to that many people! If I was that lame, at that age, I might have lied too! lol
That was so she could get the lap band. They had to come up with some reason for the public why an otherwise healthy 23yr. old needs lapband surgery. I’ve only been on this blog since the beginning of the year, but commenters like u michers and cammi (& others of course) have never been petty or passive agressive to each other. More like “real life” than the RHONJ. It just makes me more certain that bravo edits for the worst behavior and feeds on it by showing the worst things people say about others.

This episode was stupid. Melissa was so fake when she was with Teresa. When T asked her to go on the beach, she seemed like she didn’t want to at all, but did so for the cameras. It is obvious by her actions/body language, Melissa does not care about Teresa. If I can see it, then others should, too. Richie was trashy, not funny. Kathy is ignorant for acting like she had no idea what Teresa was talking about with the recipes and then running back to the Manzo/Lauritas. You are right, Roxanne, not once does anyone go back and tell Teresa what others were saying, but surely run and tell the clan what Teresa has said. They are being filmed! It would is in the public forum. Jac was asking her question with a film crew around. That was pure, unadulterated disgusting action on the part of Jac, if she were a friend. There was no way to keep it private.

I don’t see the logic in your question. It would be ridiculous to make any statement on camera or to Jac who is obviously someone who likes to tell the public anything and everything about a “friend.” If Teresa had any sense which she obviously does she would NEVER tell Jac anything and especially NOT in front of a camera crew.
