RHONJ Recap: Just A Bunch Of Hypocrites!
Wow! What an episode! I’m truly irritated with all the recent hypocrisy going on with these housewives but before I start with my recap, here’s a suggestion: I think we should probably change the Real Housewives of New Jersey to the Real Husbands of New Jersey considering all the footage they show of the husbands! So unnecessary! That’s not even why I watch this show. Let’s not forget the fact that they have been focusing most episodes on promoting all of their brands. I don’t care. I don’t care. I don’t know how many times I’m going to have to say this but I DON’T CARE! Moving on…
The Gorga’s: The episode begins with the Gorga’s discussing Melissa getting a label. Laughable, I know. Joe Gorga is saying it’s not happening and that he is the only person who owns Melissa. Ah what a romantic man! Joe doesn’t think Melissa needs a major label but I am certain he knows a major label would never consider Melissa since she doesn’t even know how to properly sing! Melissa Gorga is getting her make-up done and thinks she should get lip injections which she later does and it wasn’t pretty…any whom. She believes image is everything. I disagree and believe someone who talks that way won’t get liked. “Pop” singers who have that type of personality get no where in the business and that’s the truth! Melissa then does a photo shoot where her friends are telling her to give the photos “sex” and “a moan.” Interesting that they’re all doing this in front of Antonia. What happened about not saying inappropriate things in front of the children? Hypocrite!
Bravo TV is funny. They’re trying so hard to paint the picture that Joe Giudice is an alcoholic. It’s like they have something against the Giudice’s. He does drink a lot but let’s not forget about Jacqueline. She sure loves her wine!
Caroline Manzo: Oh that Caroline. She continues to look more bitter then ever! She makes a prediction that Teresa and Joe will be getting divorced and adds that Teresa will write a book about it. Shame on Caroline. And if Teresa did write a book, she’s an author now! Why so negative? Jealous much?
The Wakile’s: The Wakile’s stop by Teresa’s book signing. Kathy makes sure to tell Teresa that the ingredients are her mothers. Teresa instantly gets upset because she’s saying that’s not true. Regardless, it looked immature on Kathy’s part. Kathy’s turn! She’s letting everyone see the goodies she bakes and OMG I wish Kathy could adopt me and cook for me every second of the day. No denying she’s a fabulous cook and my mouth melted watching all her yummy desserts come to life! Richie makes a comment saying, “I hope Teresa doesn’t come. It’s like having the white elephant in the room.” Can you imagine if Teresa was really a no-show? She’d be bashed for the next 3 seasons about it. Teresa never wins. Teresa comes to support Kathy and everyone is curious on who Teresa’s friend is. It was kind of creepy if you ask me! Teresa makes a comment in her interview about Kathy’s posters being similar to the ones her girls make. Pointless comment but they all do it.
Back to Caroline! Why does Caroline act like Jacqueline loves Teresa so much and “acts” so worried that Teresa is going to “hurt” Jacqueline? HELLO. Jacqueline has been on Teresa’s case for the past 8 months bashing and hurting her in any way that she could. Sharing secrets the two once shared and starting several rumors. I don’t think Caroline has anything to worry about!
The Househusbands: I mean, really? Why is RHONJ the only one who focuses on the husbands? Again, that’s not why I watch! I laughed when Joe Gorga told Chris Laurita how much it sucks that he will be sharing an RV with his sister! SHE’S YOUR SISTER JOE! And you already agreed to it in therapy? Remember? Joe Gorga then says “you can’t snap your fingers and everything will go away” I thought this was an interesting statement only because Melissa has said “lets forget about the past and move forward” almost a million times. In reality, Melissa just wants everyone to forget about how she was once out to get Teresa because she “hated her so much.”
Something that made my eyes almost pop out of my head: CHRIS LAURITA! Chris Laurita says Joe Giudice has been going around talking about him. He mentions that Joe has been discussing his financial issues than says, “My financial issues are none of Joe Giudice’s business.” UH? Really? Teresa’s and Joe’s financial issues are none of the Manzo’s, Laurita’s, Gorga’s, or Wakile’s business either but you all can’t seem to shut up about it! Everyone on the show is just a buncha hypocrites!
I’m not understanding why Joe Giudice and Joe Gorga can’t resolve their issues OFF camera instead of in front of Richie and Chris?
Either they need to get a new cast next season or this show is doomed. I can’t handle watching the same thing happen week after week!

I also almost fell out of my chair when chris laurita now claims that joe giudice is running around talking about his finances, i just don’t buy that, joe seems like he just wants to mind his own business and it sounds like chris is getting instructed from jacqueline, caroline, and bravo to come out bashing joe. One more thing, did u hear jacqueline saying she hadn’t been into make-up business for a while, but isn’t she running around telling everyone that teresa tried to steal her make-up deal, but all i have seen jacqueline talk about is acne medicine. I picked up on that immediately too. Joe Giudice said he taught Joe G. to buy houses, and he said isn’t that what family does? Juicy then said to Rich, you were pumping gas when I first met you and then I got you into houses. Rich got defensive and said you were just flipping pizza. I don’t think Joe Giudice was trying to put them down, but was trying to show them that he didn’t have problems with them, and had helped them in the past in order to better themselves, so like what the hell? Point is neither of them disagreed that Joe Giudice helped them, but the two wives on the reunion, did in fact deny it, laugh, and say the same thing Chris Laurita said, that Joe Giudice thinks he does everything better, and that he and Teresa don’t want anyone else to make money. So the women lied on the reunion, which I did think they were at the time, and they all used the same words to respond to Teresa saying that at the reunion. Honestly, Joe is trying to make the point, that he didn’t have problems with them, he did help them, and now look what’s going on. Jealousy on Gorga/Wakile’s part, and if the man did help you to better yourself, don’t even help him now, just get off his back. The only one who sat there and spoke honestly and directly, was Joe Giudice. Chris said Jacqueline’s problem was Teresa reaching back out to Danielle (especially after everything with Ashley), however they don’t have an issue with Joe and Melissa Gorga contacting Danielle and lying to her in order to sabotage Joe and Teresa. Can you be any more hypocritical than that? Liars and hypocrites, the lot of them.

Kathy and Melissa haven’t lied about anything, how much they know of what transpired is different.
JoeGi told JoeGo how to go about buying houses and flipping them. Given the success of the latter and the lack of business skills of the former, JoeGi didn’t teach JoeGo too much. JoeGi’s big grip was about tools he never got back.
I think JoeGo paid JoeGi back many times over. The Giudices haven’t had to pay for the care of the elder Gorgas, JoeGo does that. JoeGo brings big checks when asked – while the Giudices lie that he’s never done anything for them.
Given what we’ve seen, you can’t give the Giudices enough and have them be grateful. They want it ALL.
I know this is from a few eps. ago but I’ve been thinking about it. When WHorsey Face admitted to T she talked to Danielle because she was 5 or 6 months pref. and hormonal she made it seem like it was no big deal even at the reunion she made it seem like a couple emails back and forth thats it. Well then how did D know about when baby Joey was born they must have been talking for months. If she was 5 or 6 months preg. then they were talking for at least 3 or 4 months but I’m guessing longer.
Or Rich whey he told him about pumpiping gas and now owing the station. Rich shut that down quick. Something that was also denied at the reuion.
They’re all making accusations about each other’s marriages. What now makes Caroline so different. Hers was a prediction, actually, not an accusation. Given how Teresa treated Joe at the winery, Caroline is on to something.

Joey Gorga has a history of not staying with long time loves. He had been engaged twice before Melissa.
Teresa has a very loyal character. She will always be true to Joe. Caroline just hates the success that Teresa has and wishes she or her idiotic progeny would be able to have an iota of the success Teresa has had with the show as a platform.

I think they need to cancel this show. Totally “jumped the shark”. Tre should go to another network and be surrounded by normal ppl, not the malicious ones here. Tre is not perfect, but those women have been so nasty to Tre and her family, it has become unwatchable. Time to dump this franchise
Until I see any of the other women growling like rabid animals and attacking others, I can’t see them as the vicious ones. The others have carried themselves like ladies, with some rare exceptions. Teresa has not, sadly for her.
Srt_3- I refuse to watch RHONJ as long as The Gorgas, Walkiles, Manzos, and Lauritasa are on there! I actually get all my info from here! Thanks for that Roxy btw! I don’t know why Teresa and all of you are so shocked by Kathy’s comments that “those are her mom’s cookies”; people in the same family and from the same village have similar recipes. My parents immigrated here and my mom, her sisters and 2 sisters in law all use the same basic recipes. Teresa’s mom didn’t invent the pizelle. How many of you have looked at something and said “oh I make those”? You all need to stop thinking so much about the hidden meaning about everything; sometimes a cookie is just a cookie.
So Kathy should have shut up about it then, no? Why was SHE looking for the hidden meaning about it. Was it inconceivable to her that Teresa’s mother could have had a similar recipe to her own mother. I mean, Kathy’s mom didn’t invent pizelles.
Im not shocked because I knew it was just trying to swing away at Teresa! A lot of people have the same, or similar ingredients to a million recipes!! I have a pizzelle recipe also from My Grandmother:) so it wasn’t that for me. It was Kathy just trying to be, well her snarky little self with a smile! Think T explained how her recipe is not the same, so for Kathy to say that , it was just a dig. And why, after 3 cookbooks, is Kathy saying things now? She had her own copies. They discussed it in front of everyone at a bbq and made nasty comments about Teresa! Kathy is a fake fame chaser.And if Kathy is super awesome herself in the kitchen , and its “dream” just since joining the show to do anything famous with her food, why is she so threatened??

It was the point of pulling it at the book signing. Kathy makes passive aggresive quips all the time.
Kathy’s mom and Teresa’s mom are not from the same family! Kathy’s mom is Teresa’s father’s sister. Plus Kathy’s mother was given away, and not even raised with the other Gorgas. Kathy is full of BS, and trying to take credit for something that is not hers! She acts like baking her “territory,” but she doesn’t have a baking business.

Here is another wired thing. Mego’s and the hags keep tweeting that Melissa has her own radio station, you know like Sinatra and Bruce Springsteen on Serius? How is this possible when she has three flop songs? Do the play the same three songs on an endless loop?
Its not “her” station. Its a channel she cultivates with her playlist. Her 3 songs are on it…as are tons of others from other artists. Anyone can cultivate a station. Its not like the Whitney Houston station that plays all Whitney’s songs. Everytime I have ever put Melissa’s station on she has no been on it. She put music that inspires her. Its Pandora.

Bethenny had the luxury of having an equal partner named David Kanbar the creator of Skky Vodka. Together Kanbar and Bethenny sold their company to Jim Beam. That was their out strategy and it was highly successful.
Melissa needs to get a record label. However, no label has approached her. If one had we would have heard of it. One because it would have made an episode or the press. Two because a record label approaching her would only solidify that she was successful. Melissa is not successful. She has had three releases. At this point, if a label wanted to sign her then they would have. The platform has been used to no avail by Melissa and no label of any repute wants to tie their fortune to a fly by night singer.
As for Joe Giudice and Teresa, well your statement is non sequitur. There is no evidence to say that Teresa led to their bankruptcy. In fact, the bankruptcy documents state without doubt it was Giudice’s risks in the 2007 and 2008 which led to the bankruptcy. Now the 2007 and 2008 was the exact time of the US housing collapse. Liquidity was taken out of the market for demand for new homes. We had TARP in 2008 in October, so Giudice along with a long list of real estate developers went into both corporate and personal bankruptcy. Many very successful people went into both corporate and personal bankruptcy. 30% of US GDP is dependent upon housing development there are areas of California and Nevada which will never see housing growth for the next 20 years due to the collapse. I don’t fault Joe for his bankruptcy because this was the what happened to many developers during that time.

I have a new found respect for Caroline after watching her this season. She started icing Teresa from the day Teresa offered up that BS apology (even though Teresa was too dumb and insensitive to know what was happening), and if it had been possible to film the entire season without tearing Teresa a new asshole, or even speaking to her at all, imo she would have.
I think Caroline’s confrontation of Teresa happened, in part, because Teresa was too stupid to figure out that the Manzos and Lauritas are no longer interested in filming with the Giudices unless they absolutely have to (Napa trip), and Teresa just wasn’t getting the message.
And admittedly, the things that have probably effected Caroline the most with Teresa happened off camera (even though everyone who reads the blogs knows what they are). But Teresa did more than enough ON camera to make her good and sick, too.

Teresa is HUGELY successful and Kathy can’t get anything off the ground. It’s PURE jealousy. Not like we didn’t know all this before, but it’s interesting to SEE it all play EXACTLY like we all thought it would.
I think I figured out Kathy’s vendetta against Teresa.
Her mother, Teresa’s father’s sister, was adopted out to a family member. Kathy feels she and mother lost a birthright.
Kathy, a hairdresser, sees rich relative Teresa live a charmed existence. College, marriage to a go getter, fancy house, nice cars, best of everything.
Kathy has gas station attendant and litle house.
Kathy is poor not even acknowledged relative. A broken family branch.
Teresa, the loved and cherished daughter, hasn’t a clue about the simmering pain this old festering wound is causing.
What I don’t understand, Teresa’s father’s mother died when he was really young. He was raised by the grandma. Could that possibly mean she was dying when Kathy’s mother was given away?
Kathy’s pain isn’t from the same source as Ho Dancer’s, Jacko’s or The Don’s. She has real pain —-they have envy and jelousy.
No one in Teresa’s family is acknowledging their pain or even their place in the family. Teresa doesn’t have a clue!

I agree that Kathy has resentment issues with Teresa, but the thing for me that does not fit in with your theory, is the fact that both Teresa and Kathy, have talked about how close they were. I think they pulled apart from each other because of the way Ritch treats Teresa. Teresa has spoken about this issue on air. He was inapropriate and creepy with her, and Teresa said that she felt uncomfortable around him. He is acting like he is obsessed with Teresa, that is how it looks to me. All he does is moan and bitch about Teresa.
But the leader in all of this, IMO, is Melissa, she has conned her Husband, Kathy, Caro and Jac, and they are to stupid to see it. Mel hates Teresa with a passion and will do any and everthing in her power to destroy Teresa. All of the family bs that she spews is just that bs.
Her sister Lysa, was friends with Teresa and even facebooked to Teresa after spending a weekend at Teresa’s shore house, back in 2009,”Lysa-Marco Simpson spent the weekend with Teresa and the kids at her shore house! It was so much fun with all the starstruck people asking for pictures at the beach, then we went to her house for spaghetti!”
Fast forward to Season3, the first episode(The Christening) and after Lysa made a remark about being “Joey’s only sister”, Teresa responded by saying “be quiet Lysa, you were confiding in me, when you were complaining about Melissa” and then Lysa responded with “there’s only one side, don’t get it twisted”. Lysa was buddy-buddy with Teresa but as soon as Mel got on the show, Lysa hates Teresa’s guts. hmm……..

Because I have been successful (by leaps and bounds) and they have not (and it’s not conceit, it’s just the truth), they all want me to fail. They feel better about themselves if I fail, so when I keep succeeding, they just seethe. They think that I don’t deserve what I have, bc they don’t have it too. It’s uneducated, childish, jealous, and emotionally immature, but it’s the truth. A lot of big families struggle with this when one breaks the ranks and veers off into a better life. I, on the other hand, only wish my cousins and family success… but them? They would have a party if I lost everything I have! They feel that their kids could have done what I did if their kids were “given” everything that I was given. Which, I wasn’t given anything, I worked my ass off and did the impossible, at least impossible according to my family. I say, eff em. I don’t wish them anything but well, but I moved away and do my own thing. I don’t need the constant jealousy and comparisons, and it’s all just so creepy and childish that I refuse to take part in it. This way, I’m not “rubbing it in their faces” with my success, bc that’s what they thought when I lived close. If I talked about anything in my life that was happening (college, career, house buying, car buying, etc.) they thought I was rubbing it in. Childish, and she’s better off without them. Blood is NOT thicker than water… people either support me or not, and I cut the anchor to those who don’t quicker than they can say “You’re not better than me!”.
I bet Kathy has always been in T’s shadow. She is prettier, and has a better looking husband. She has probably always been jealous of her, and Richie Jealous of Joe, and then they got on the show, more jealousy, and then couple them, w/ Melhoe who is always in t’s shadow, and wants to be the star, and Joe who is jealous also, that is a storm right there that has been brewing, and now w/ the other loser who can’t get a business to be successful….
Well, there is no question that it is all about the money and success: Teresa was getting all the attention and Baby Joey and Mel just couldn’t take it: THEY deserved all that attention too because they were a fun and sexy couple (I got nauseous from just typing it) and deserved to be even more successful than Teresa.
How many comments lately have we heard like: THEY want only themselves to make money. No one has said the others shouldn’t money: it is just that THEY HAVEN’T and they resent Teresa for it. NONE of the others have been helping their own images with their ridiculous, mean behavior, so I doubt these ventures of theirs are going to reach the success level Teresa’s has. This is nothing new between friends and family: it is called ENVY, JEALOUSY, AND COVETING……and we all know this is the main issue between them whether admit it or not.

I looked at her outfit, when I heard the comment, and saw that she did not have pockets, so Teresa told her to put it there,and there was nothing sinister about it. My mother in law used to always put money in her bra, and my little ones noticed it, and I noticed that they mimicked their grandmother, and tried to put money they had in their blouse if they didn’t have a pocket. Renee – I think they set Juicy up for a 3 on 1 ambush just like all the women have been doing to Teresa all season. Juicy is A LOT tougher than the rest of them though, so it was a fruitless exercise. I think they wanted to see him buckle and get uncomfortable and like Teresa, he just held his ground, answered back when need be, but in general, didn’t get too rattled. So did the Laurita Bankruptcy. It was filed later in fact just last year. And it is far more insidious. I see it when I was in Europe in December and in the Spring. Additionally, what made it over the pond was the BLK water fiasco. That is big knews on the Dailymail, Guardian and Telegraph.

The bankruptcy of the Laurita was only filed last year $8.5M with another 2.5M in counterclaims it is the same dollar amount. The bankruptcy case has not received approval either. The whole idea of the case which the trustee will not give approval for is because there is a huge issue that it was fraud and embezzlement. If so, then it pierces the corporate veil and their only recourse is personal bankruptcy under a liquidation provision of BK similar to Giudice. However, once the veil is pierced then criminal charges would follow for the embezzlement and fraud.

Great Blog! I agree Andy hates Joe Giudice. I think the show needs to be recast except for Teresa. The crap T has put up with the past 2 seasons, I think she’s earned the right to stay. Plus viewers are behind her. I’m not saying she doesn’t have faults….but by far her family is the most “Real” on the show. If she doesn’t do well, then let her go…the following season.
