RHOC Recap: The Ladies VS Alexis Bellino!
RHOC has been getting quite interesting in the last few weeks. The season started kind of blah but has quickly turned into really good! Tuesday’s episode continues with the ladies having an intervention with Alexis Bellino.
Here’s my thought on all of it. The ladies are calling out Alexis on things that she says and does but Vicki said it best when she said all of the housewives are crazy and none of them are going to change. It’s time that they just accept them for who they are, acknowledge that they too do and say dumb things and try their best to just get along!
So Gretchen is supposed to be Alexis best friend? Correct? Well I don’t know about you but if I was getting attacked by ladies about who I am I wouldn’t be very pleased with my best friend chiming in and agreeing with them! Obviously a best friend should be honest with you but Gretchen could have done that in closed doors. She didn’t have Alexis back and I think a true best friend would have and later on told them alone how they felt on the whole situation. Gretchen agreeing with the ladies and adding her two sense only encouraged the ladies to continue and make Alexis feel really bad about herself.
Gretchen made a big deal about Alexis not allowing her to come into her room but I think it was one of those moments where you’re just shocked and want to be alone. It’s not as if Gretchen had her back that she wants to even see Gretchen to begin with. The crazy thing is Vicki did and their not even close! Vicki entered the room and Alexis still told her she didn’t want anyone coming in. Vicki did and it didn’t seem like she stayed for long. Gretchen should have been more understanding on why Vicki of all people went in the room. Vicki genuinely wanted to comfort Alexis.
Moving on. Vicki’s several break downs. It’s kind of sad to see Vicki break down and watch Tamra be annoyed about it. Vicki obviously isn’t in a great place right now and Tamra should understand and not get so annoyed with Vicki.
I enjoyed this episode because the ladies were all having fun together. It seems as if Gretchen and Tamra should have best friends from the very beginning because they are very much alike and feel comfortable with each other.

Tamra is a terrible friend. Vicki is going through a divorce, of course she is a bit unstable. But to have her friend treat her that way while knowing all of that is unacceptable. Tamra is a terrible human being. I hope they kick her off the show. I’m sick of watching her petty, trashy antics. And to think, I actually liked her for a couple of episodes at the beginning of this season…
I’m so sorry but I can not stand Vicki! She’s so fake it’s a joke! The only reason she is Team Alexis now is because she is a jealous bitch! It was so much more fun when Alexis left. I don’t like the confrontation at the dinner table but I do agree with what they telling her. But it was not done the correct way!! Alexis is just like Taylor…bragging & trying to be bigger than they are. Tamra does get carried away…even though I like her but she does get very mean. Alexis did bring it up though…what did she expect?
T, I agree and you touched on things that I was thinking! Although I do like Vicki, but she was a little messy last night! I think she tries and wants to do the right thing and with all of her changes, she is finally feeling everything at once. None of this is new about Aexis- she has been like this if not worse when she joined the cast! Now its her turn to get called on it , and she cannot deal. She has attacked Vicki in front of her daughter, she has always said underhanded digs, she always bragged about things, and honestly Peggy last year was supposedly a great friend and look what she did to her! I feel bad she was upset, but people you hang with and work with will eventually tell you truths you don’t like to hear, if need be.
Michers…exactly!!! Alexis was horrible to call Vicki out in front of her daughter but when it happens to Alexis she falls apart! Just seems like karma to me!
Gretchen and Alexis are friends; not best friends. I agree that Gretchen and Tamra should have been friends from the beginning..They have so much fun together.

I agree and disagree. It’s never fun to feel like you’re being ganged up on, right or wrong. I have to believe that there have been some things that have happened for all the ladies to get to this point with Alexis. The thing of it is, we see very little of their lives and truly don’t know how they are when the cameras aren’t rolling. Gretchen DID talk to Alexis about this in private before the “intervention” began, so I don’t agree with you that Gretchen wasn’t a good friend to her. Alexis drives me nuts, always has, I feel bad she was in that situation…but she always seems to be in that situation…has to make you wonder. Plus people who constantly have to talk about it usually don’t have it. That’s a big turn off and this is where I agree with the ladies – just be real.
I love how they all finally had fun on the beach!! I agree with some of Melissa above. Gretchen has always been a good friend to Alexis. And I also felt bad for her in that dinner scene because she did not want to be fake, thought she was being honest and she did not want to hurt Alexis! Im glad Tamra and Gretchen are friends now, its more fun to see! Maybe the problem in the beginning was due to them being so alike? Alexis has made me nuts as well because she has always seemed to be a problem.
Gretchen has become my least favorite housewife. I was actually going to buy one of her purses, but i would rather give my money to a bum…That bitch doesnt have a soul.
Listen say what you will about Alexis but she took time away from her children and husband to be on this trip with the ladies! This was not the place or the time for this all to go down! Let her enjoy her 2 days away from her family and let her relax! I don’t understand why there was such a big deal made about all this? They are all fake??? I don’t get it! I am glad Vicki said wha said she was 100% right in her statements last!!! It turned very ugly very fast for no reason!!! I am really dispointed in Heather I bet 5 bucks if Terry was there she would not have taken part in it! Heather is so different around Terry then when she is with all the ladies!!!

Hold on…Gretchen isn’t a good friend because she agreed with the others and tried to find a gentle way to explain it to Alexis? Didn’t you say, just that other day, in reference to Kim D. and Teresa, that being a good friend doesn’t mean simply agreeing and telling someone what they want to hear?
As for Vicki, she is full of shit. She said that she’s never seen a group of girls gang up on someone like that? For a minute I thought she totally forgot all about San Fran, until she brought it up and laid all the blame on Tamara (for doing to her the same thing that Gretchen had just done with Alexis). Just to be sure that MY memory wasn’t the hazy one I looked up her blogs from that trip. Lo and behold, she laid ALL the blame on Alexis.
Sassy- great comment. You are right in reference to Gretchen being a friend. Your words came out better than mine, lol. In reality, I guess some people would prefer fake smoke blown up their a$$e$, idk? To me, good or bad, friend will tell you. Cant be rainbows and butterflies all the time( thats not always the case). As far as Kim D and Teresa, I don’t care because T has too much personal drama, so if Kim is agreeing with her no matter what, so be it. T needs some positivity in this season! Maybe Kim really does agree with everything T says? They are not on tv having an intervention about it, so it doesn’t bother me!

I felt bad for Alexis you either love her or hate her but really they are just being mean over stupid things….just my opinion. And Gretchen should have told her privately. One thing about Alexis she has always had Gretchens back watch the reunion from last year!
Alexis annoys me with her overt religiosity but none of them get to call out Alexis for being materialistic or pretentious. You know what’s pretentious, a woman born in the Bronx calling champagne, “champs”. That’s pretentious. If you’re not British and you call it “champs” you’re a phony.
As I may have said last week, interventions are done by friends and family, people who are trusted to have the best interests of someone at heart. Two weeks ago Tamra said it plain as day that she thinks Alexis is shallow and does not like her. She does not have her best interests at heart. Heather has been mincing about with her accusations of phoniness and pretension all season. She has no interest in Alexis’ well-being or happiness. People with their motivation do not do “intervention” they do ambushes. That Gretchen participated either makes her a fool or one of those horrible people who dumps old friends for newer, wealthier friends.
Tamra is supposedly best friends with Vicki. Well, if that’s a best friend, give me an enemy anyday. I don’t like Vicki, but I can recognize that she’s in a world of hurt with her divorce, her daughter’s assertion of independence and the relationship with Brooks. She’s not an idiot and she has to know that after her years of Slade-bashing, the Brooks relationship is a serious contradiction. The cognitive dissonance between her financial management/security first instincts and her falling in love with this seeming conman must be painful. Some sympathy is in order and it’s funny that she got more from Gretchen than from Tamra.

Yep, I’m a Tamra fan…..:) Regardless, I really enjoyed last evening’s show for it was light, airy, funny, filled with laughter & appeared as though they all had fun once Alexis left……….

I felt that the rest of them telling Alexis she was “pretentious” was tantamount to Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears telling Miley Cyrus she was turning into an over-exposed whore who will do just about anything for money/attention.

You have such a way with words, and I love it! Don’t you feel it to be somewhat true though about Alexis? I mean compared to most of the others… They are in the OC, so they all have their “moments” I guess! That aside, I think Alexis is the most inauthentic and non-genuine personality wise. She doesn’t even have a sense of humor!
I think all of them are a little with their nose up in the air and like to flash what they have but Alexis takes the cake. Every season I like her less and less she competes with everyone about everything and no matter what the subject she turns it into herself. Whatever the case except for Tamra (who obviously doesn’t like her) the girls were being honest and clear, I didn’t see them be too harsh but like always Alexis makes it more then it should. Tamra I like even though she can be harsh she’s honest and you can’t say she’s fake, I think she sees how much of a hypocrite Vicky tuned out to be and doesn’t like it. Even with all the drama its not as dark as NJ and I’m really enjoying this season
I think what they were really trying to tell her is that she needs to stop acting like she’s rich bitch when her homes are rented and her diamonds are fakes. She and Jim spend money and are all for show without substance to back it up. Remember the last reunion? Alexis and Jim are con artists and a mess.
I think Heather was just trying to make drama so her contract will be renewed for another season. Did anyone else notice when she said something about “our next trip” should be someplace sunny? Honey, there may not be a next trip for you
I like Alexis, and thought she handled the ganging up at dinner as well as could be expected.
Although I have to say, her wearing a CZ ring for safety while traveling doesn’t make a lot of sense because a thief isn’t going to know it’s fake and would still try to rob her.

I don’t like tamra, at least how shes portrayed on the show. she comes off as mean and nasty. She’s always talking smack about someone… She reminds me of the movie Mean Girls…. She’s the chick that smiles in your face and then talks crap about you the second you walk away. I really dont think any of them have the right to judge Alexis. I think Alexis is annoying but not any more annoying than any of the other housewives. What gives them the right to do an “intervention”… I think Alexis said it best “look I’m the mirror”.

Wow what an 180 gretchen has taken. No matter what alexis has had gretchens back especially with the whole slade situation. And then for her to sit and laugh when terry called alexis “phony”…come on now, even if she isnt her best friend, i wouldve definitly called him out and asked him well, do you even know her? Have you hung out with her or her husband? Look everones going through a hard time because of the recession, but i think everyone needs to mind their business with how jim makes his money. Obviously hes doing something right?
