RHOBH’s Yolanda Foster Opens Up About Health Scares & Reveals Which Housewives She’s Closest With

We will be seeing one new Housewife on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills this season – Yolanda Foster! The former model is now opening up about her past and two major health scares where she thought her life would end, including that of her third child. Yolanda also reveals which Housewives she is the closest to, both from before the show and from filming the show.

Yolanda tells the New York Post of two instances that almost killed her. When giving birth to her third child who is now 13, Yolanda had severe complications that injured her and almost took her child’s life. Yolanda reveals, “They gave me potassium, which induces the contractions, and my son had an allergic reaction. His heartbeat stopped. And rather than waiting to do an emergency C-section, I kind of pushed him out in a panic. I ripped my lower back and had to have a triple fusion.” Yolanda adds that had she not done that, her son might not have lived and also says that this trauma put her in a depression for about a year after. 

A few years later, Yolanda learned she had a tumor on her thyroid. Luckily the doctors found it to be benign and it was surgically removed. Yolanda says of that second fearful experience,  “My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. Thank God she is still alive today. But it has been in the family. I did have a scare and all the drama that comes with it.”

Although she just joined RHOBH this year she already had a close relationship with one of the original cast members – Lisa Vanderpump who is best friends with Mohamed Hadid, Yolanda’s ex-husband. She also reveals she is closest with Brandi Glanville of the new girls she met on the show, but also reveals that other Housewives did not really give her a chance on the show, saying “Some of the other girls, they right away started having issues with me. Some of them I never had an in-depth conversation with.”

Yolanda seems to have real class and a good head on her shoulders. I can not wait to see what she will bring to the show! Thoughts on what Yolanda had to say? Are you excited to see her join RHOBH?

      Me too! I think this is going to be a great season… Lisa, Brandi, & Kyle (most days) are my favs… Her with them?!? Fun & drama… But, I think it’ll be fun drama not dark drama like NJ

        She always seems to have a sour puss face so I’m not sure what to expect from her. I keep getting a judgey vibe, but i guess thats a bit judgey on my part! I’m excited to watch what happens!

    Those aren’t health “scares”. She’s very fortunate those are the only health,”issues” she’s ever faced.

    I’ll wait till the season starts before I even try to decide if I care for her or not. She has to prove herself worthy. Love Lisa, don’t care for Brandi. But people do change from season to season. Used to hate Camille now she’s my all time favorite!

      I like Lisa, Brandi and Camille! I think I will wait on the newbie to check it out! Yeah, Im kinda agreeing with you on the health scare.. I have been through worse myself, lol. But different strokes for different folks! To her, maybe in her life, that was a major scare for her, to others, just another obstacle to get through no biggie :)

      Finding out you have a tumor is very much a health scare. She was lucky that it was benign and she turned out fine but when the doctor tells you they found a tumor inside you…..scary!

    I’ll see how she is when the season airs. I already don’t like what she said about Teresa. I see she’s already trying to insinuate being an innocent.

    I’m super excited to see her! I’m not a fan of Brandi’s as of now but am going to keep an open mind and we’ll see. Beverly Hills….love it. Lisa Vanderpump is my favorite!
