Kim Richards Returning To RHOBH For The Money! Plus How Much Are The Ladies Making?
RHOBH star Kim Richards had a tough year but she’s not going anywhere. She’ll be back for a third season with the ladies of Beverly Hills. So why is she returning? Apparently she needs the money! RadarOnline is reporting that she needs the $137,000 salary she gets from the show!
Sources reveal, “Kim needs the money because she has no other way to support herself and her children. She does receive child support from several different men who fathered her kids. Kim was able to negotiate a better salary for the upcoming season, she got a $10k raise. Kim truly didn’t want to do another season because she is still extremely vulnerable and dealing with her sobriety.”
And what about the other housewives? A source says, “The Beverly Hills Housewives all received a modest raise to come back and do season three. Taylor Armstrong has also become dependent on the show for the income and will be earning around $127,000 for the entire season. None of the cast is paid over $165k for a season of work. People might be surprised to learn how little the women earn from the show, this isn’t per episode, but for an entire season, which Bravo dictates the terms of how long the filming will be for. The ladies won’t get rich from doing the show, but feel the exposure and publicity they get from appearing will be the big payoff. Look at Bethenny Frankel, she never earned more than $100k for being a cast member on the New York Housewives franchise of the show, and she just sold her Skinny Girl alcoholic beverage line for millions of dollars.”
Innnnteresting! My only question is- why do these housewives think they aren’t capable of getting a job?! Are you surprised with the amount that the ladies make?

I don’t think Kim Richards as sad as this sounds has any job experience except for acting, and because she has been out of the entertainment business for so long (besides reality television) it probably is very hard for her to get any kind of work. These days as bad as this sounds, it is very hard to get a job when you are in your in your upper 40′s, people like to higher younger workers AND Kim only has one kind of experience and that is acting. When you’ve gone that long without any work experience it’s hard to get a job that you can live off of or manage.
I don’t know about Taylor though I think she may have some kind of job experience compared to Kim. I’m a bit less sympathetic with Taylor just because of her constant story telling, I think she has money that she has hidden away.
I don’t see this as a big deal though, the Kardashians make WAY more, and I believe the NJ Housewives and Atlanta Housewives make more than the BH ladies.
Ijill zarin said what she got for season 4 was more then the first three seasons combined. Ramona and Luann got 500k for season. The longer your on the. Ore money you get. The ladies like vicki and Tamara get 400k. I think Kyle and Kathy help Kim too.
You’re right about Kim. Never had any jobs, just like Paris except for actor.I do hope Kim has Kyle and Kathy, but they could have been more generous, to buy a house for her! They have more $$$ than Kim because of her divorces and raising four kids costs money when she has not been on set much for the last 20 years. She had Brooke in 1986, so stopped in 1985. Kyle and Kathy have been acting and got rich husbands.
If she doesn’t do drugs or binge/substance abuse herself will save tons of money. Good luck Kim!
Taylor Armstrong is such a liar, would not be surprised if I didn’t recognise her from her early days. She was born as Shana Hughes anyway! Receiving more money is what makes her happy of being the cast; which is what she is trying to perceive to the audience. She has a lot of fairy tales!
Just a reminder that most Real Housewives are not as wealthy as RHBH therefore don’t exceed over the limit otherwise this would spoil it…. They want to help not as well off people more than richer ones. I don’t believe Taylor needs it. Kim yes, cause a single mother without husband. It was Whitney’s grandfather, Marvin Davis who was the oil tycoon billionaire! Don’t know about Whitney’s dad. Seem to be very private!
Her second husband is a billionaire and the kids will probably start coming into their trust fund money soon. I think they’ll have the money to take care of mom easily enough.
Yes, I am surprised to hear that they don’t make more money. I’m sure Bravo makes millions and millions off of the show. At the same time though, there are probably tons of women who would love to be cast–so it’s just a case of supply and demand.
I’m sure there are tons of women who would jump at the chance to be on these shows, just not the women Bravo wants. Women of true substance would never put themselves in a position to be edited/manipulated into a fool. It seems to me Bravo has a very difficult time getting good cast members.
Sorry Roxy but just because RadarOnline says it doesn’t make it so. Who really knows what some of the more popular housewives make? I’ve read on another site that NeNe makes 750K so it’s all a guessing game and I doubt seriously that some of the Beverly Hills ladies would put their lives on display like that for chump change when they don’t need to. I don’t believe that to be an accurate amount.
I believe it with the exception if Kyle and Kim none of the ladies need the money. When you have money what Comes next fame and power. Lisa is doing it to promote her restaurants, spinoff, and shoes. Kyle has gotten acting jobs, Mauricio is selling Michael jacksons house, their books. Adriene promotes her shoes, casino, her husband is opening another practice, her basketball team. Nene came from nothing and now she is worth over 3M. Most of the ladies with brains have done very well by the shows.

Hard to know what to believe. Articles of late have said Vicky G has said the show has had a negative impact on her business, yet she’s right in the thick of things staying on the show.
Kim is not a strong personality, and I think the RHOBH is not an environment for a recovering alcoholic. I can understand she needs the money, but to return to the show will probably be detrimental to her well being.
She should do what all the others have done…write a “tell-all” book and get a big advance for it!

127 is more than I make for a whole year….so it isn’t chump change. Truth be told, they could always do like the majority of us and get an education or work in a department store. Hell, you do what you gotta do. My best friend is an atty and former judge and working at Walgreens while putting himself through school for speech pathology. Annnd he’s over 60! these women are spoiled brats
Gotta agree with ya! Plus, maybe Taylor should NOT be living in BH anymore & adjust her darn lifestyle & get a real job. Plus, that’s alot more than I’m making as a hard working RN 52 weeks/yr. Lastly, if I was a true BH housewife living the good life, the last thing I’d do is expose my personal life like they do. These HWs are really starting to all turn me off. How much bitch fighting can one stand?

Not like this is the slightest bit of a surprise that Kim is doing the show solely for money. Kim has always said she didn’t want to do the show but is only doing it to get her feet back into acting and for the money.
It’s also no surprise that Kim and Taylor rely on the show for their income. The other ladies are just on it for shits and giggles. 130,000 to Adrienne, Lisa, and Kyle is chump change. But to the average person, it’s a freaking ass load of money.

i think if kim stays sober, she can start using her sobriety as her pay day. she should start going to events and speaking about over coming alcoholism and how she manages to stay sober throughout being a hw and always surrounded by drinking
If Kim is really sober (which includes being off cocaine) then hopefully she will move past being a bitter bitch and realize she can make money by writing a tell all about the evil sister Kyle and participate in promoting raising awareness for addition. She can really make a comeback if she were to grow up.
