Ramona Singer Says It’s Going To Be An Intense And Dramatic Season!

Get ready for some major drama tonight on The Real Housewives of New York. I’ll be honest. This will be my first season watching but I have watched bits and pieces from the previous seasons! Ramona Singer is sharing some juicy details on whats going to be going on and says it’s going to be an intense and dramatic season!

Ramona Singer tells RumorFix, “Friday night I couldn’t sleep until 3.30 am, I had butterflies. I haven’t felt that way since season one. It’s going to be a very intense and dramatic season. Not to say we don’t have our moments, sure there’s drama, but nothing ever gets too dark or super-negative. Let the games begin!”

Ramona reveals, “You’ll see LuAnn make fabricated allegations behind my back tonight. She says something that is not true. I say things to people’s faces – isn’t that better than saying it behind their back? I even have an altercation with Sonja this season — and she and I are BFF’s forever! But that’s what being a best friend is, you fight and then you make up and move on.”

Ramona adds, “We go to London, South Beach and St. Barts, — South Beach could have been 20 episodes just by itself! There’s a situation that makes Scary Island look calm. You’ll also see me tell it like it is to newest housewife Heather Thomson!”

Season six premieres with a special 90 min episode TONIGHT at 9pm! Will you be tuning in?!

I just don’t know if I’m ready for another season with the older players on this show. I guess the real movers and shakers In any city are too busy and too smart to do a reality tv show. So we get the best of the rest, I get that. But the women start out in season one (or their ffrst season) with quirks and foibles that could be interesting and defining elements of their tv character. But they grow defensive in the face of criticism and this begins a spiral as they try to change their persona to one more accepted by viewers while at the same time needing to bring drama to keep their jobs.

Thank goodness for the changes they made. But they could have gone further.

Ramona is a victim of the red light on the camera (and pinot). Before the show she was likely a loving wife and mother. As the seasons played out her protestations of “I own it, I say it to your face” in defense of her absense of social grace looks like the crumbling facade of a deeply fractured soul. Her on screen antics with her Pinot nonsense are just sad. Her attempt to hijack Luanne’s boat party w a patently ridiculous “I think I’m pregnant” storyline was another epic fail. Hopefully those scenes will be annexed and we won’t have to see her molest her husband this season.

Sonja needs to reflect on her age and show a more refined sensuality. If she wants to be bawdy, fine. But she is simply vulgar. It looks Iike this season is going to be more of her “wardrobe malfunctions” and drunken behavior. On the other hand, I respect how she handled a very humiliating situation. To have ur finances frozen in the face of a divorce is likely the worst place to find oneself. Add to that, poor advise leaving her with a judgement of $7 million against her is horrifying. I do appreciate her poise and respect her resilience. I just dont want to hear about the Churchills anymore. And please let’s pray they blur out the topless scene tonight.

Luann, who most viewers have issues with doesn’t bother me as much anymore. But her over the top ” miss manners” book did open her up for a lot of slings and arrows. Her passive aggressive snarky comments were funny. Then they became caustic. But this past season she was happier and her humor was lighter but still had considerable bite. Luann seems to embrace her tv persona and doesn’t work so feverishly to change. Maybe she should, who knows,

The three new women.. I am interested in seeing who they are, the persona they’re going to show us and what Bravo ultimately decides we should see about them.

I wonder if the women who left are going to breath a deep sigh of relief to not be a part of the vipers nest anymore.

I can’t wait to be honest.
Ramona and Sonja crack me up! They just seem to not care. I do agree with you that when the “red light is on” they amp it up…a lot. And that’s ok with me. As long as they don’t go all Zarin on someone. So glad she’s out for this season at least.
I have to confess, I follow Ramona and her daughter on twitter. And Avery has never been anything but lovely and respectful and, well, a teenager. Lots of tweets about friends and school and tests! She’s adorable. And, loves her parents.Ramona and Mario did a good job!
Luann. Luann Luann Luann. Where do I begin? The good, I guess.
Her Kids appear to be happy and well-rounded. I don’t follow any of them on the twitter. But, she, seems to bea great Mom.
      However. However…..
Listen, every season I start off liking Luann and have ended the season not liking her. She is so condescending and full of her “Countess”self.
It turns me off. I want to like her. She seems sweet and kind. But, then she does or says something that makes me feel…well, bad about MYSELF! LOL! But, I’ll keep trying!
      The new gals…I’m ready! I can’t wait!
And, one of them is related to Fran Dreshner? She’s got to be funny right?
      Can’t wait!

I agree with both of you only I do somewhat question LuAnn’s parenting based on the YouTube video of Victoria with marijuana and using the n-word (that Ramona retweeted for the world to see). Perhaps that’s normal rebellion though. I don’t see Victoria as being a bad person at all. Teenage years are hard and I didn’t have my parents getting divorced and my mom on RHONY. Also, she has been in at least 3 schools since the show started based on what has LuAnn has said, Ramona claims 4.

I can see LuAnn being more of a friend-mom post-divorce. Not sure why, maybe her whole laid back attitude since Jacques. I had amazing parents but they did assume I could fend fof myself as a teenager and did a lot of traveling while I was home alone. Really I needed the structure of them being there and that safety. I was a bit wild. I’m basing that last part on Ramona’s weekend-mom accusations so who knows how bad it is although LuLu did admit to staying in the city.

Ramona is far from my favorite… Just a bias warning. I thought last season had some telling scenes with her wonderful daughter Avery. An example was when she was trying to play the role of involved mom and prepare her for PSAT only to have Avery tell her she’d already taken in. Also the scenes where Avery was begging for Ramona to be at home and spend quality time with her. That was sad to me. Avery being such a great person could just be because that’s who she is and not solely a reflection on Ramona’s parenting skills, although they do play a part. I find it insulting to older children when they accomplish something and people give the accolades to the parents. It’s the child studying and making good decisions at this age, using the foundation her parents gave her, they both get credit. Ramona is all too willing to pat herself on the back and take all the credit. Face it, if it was up to Ramona then Avery would have missed taking the PSATs and who knows what else?

I do have an issue with Ramona’s statement above about LuLu lying about what Ramona said and Ramona uses her style of saying things to people directly as validation. Assuming she’s referring to the lunch scene then LuLu told the girls that Ramona confronted her via phone – which is still going to the source and not talking behind someone’s back. I don’t understand her argument. There was also the text that LuLu read from Ramona. Granted, something in that scene seemed inauthentic and I can see LuAnn twisting Ramona’s intent. I think after the original cast got cleaned out that they are aware how easily they could be next if they don’t bring the drama.

Aviva Drescher is the one with the tie to Fran Drescher. It’s only by marriage though. She married her brother or cousin, I forget which one.

        • michers says:

Moxie, Im glad you brought that up, because I thought I read somewhere back that Victoria was getting high also! That may be from LuLu being gone all week long and only seeing them on weekends!!!

      • michers says:

Rosie, I feel the same with LuAnn. I wanted to like her but I gave up after last season. She comes off so nice then in a blink of an eye she feels the need to try and humiliate? Don’t like. She has no prob being a meddler in others probs, then gossipy and backstabbing, but then tells others how to behave? That did it for me. As much as Ramona maybe should not have said some things, the truth is she was right!! And thats why Lu is mad. I don’t think others have ever put her in her place like that and she did not like it.

    • michers says:

As much as I like me some Ramona, I think I like your assessment! I think also she is just trying to keep pushing her product and make that $$. I def think there may be something to the “fractured soul” because of her childhood and how she grew up, but that is a reason I like her :) She really did well for herself and appreciates her hubby and daughter. The things she called LULU out on were correct, not lies and LuLu does not like. The rest of your post was a really good take on the girls !

  3. Isa says:

She’s humiliating her self. She’s a drunk and should get some help asap

  4. stalina says:

LuAnn fabricated nothing. Ramona has gotten very very dirty over the past few years.

    • michers says:

Stalina, I get it if you do not care for Ramona, but I think LuLu has some apologizing to do as well! She started this drama with her last season after all her underhanded digs, she also was pretty much starting the rumor that Mario had cheated on her- not fair, not cool. She has never apologized for that so why should ramona apologize for stating things that were true? Thats just how I look at it. LuAnn kept taking time out to make Ramona feel humiliated after the palm reader in Morrocco thinking he was a cheater. That was very low.

      • stalina says:

it appears we see things differently :) however, one should take the ‘mario cheating’ stuff up w/ the fortune-teller. LuAnn remained as gracious as she could be with that entire murder of women, and ALL of their issues. ps, i DO like Ramona– never said i didn’t! i have watched the show since the beginning, and my opinion is that Ramona HAS gotten very dirty over the years, so where there might be colliding accounts regarding Ramona’s behavior v/s LuAnn fabricating a black-mail, or back-lash involving her CHILDREN? well, i choose to believe LuAnn. and in this specific case? i would wait until more of the show airs, before betting against LuAnn’s honesty.

        • michers says:

Haha, Im sorry I took it as you not liking Ramona, sorry :) I too have watched from season 1. I think Ramona can be a little too much sometimes but I appreciate her honesty even if its too rough sometimes. I did not like how LuAnn was treating Ramona and others, because of other snarky comments she has made. Yes, fortune teller said it, but Lu frequently made snarky comments about it. I took Ramona firing back about the parenting as defense to that, I may be wrong. Another thing that I forgot about was Lu’s nanny going on camera stating that she needed to make more quality time with her kids, and that was before Ramona’s comments. I respect your respectfulness, and I can’t wait to see what unfolds! I think some of Jill has rubbed off on LuAnn in the respect of trying to get someone off the show=Ramona. She could not wait to run and tell the other new ladies about Ramona and I kind of thought that was a little childish.

          • stalina says:

glad we can be friends about it!–differing views or not! :) and i agree that LuAnn telling the new ladies about the issue between Ramona and herself, was childish. aren’t you looking forward (at long last!) to this season of RHONYC?!!? it’s my FAV of the franchises!!
