Ramona Singer Calls Out Aviva On Her Father’s “Inappropriate” Behavior, Says She Is “Unhappy”
The ladies of the Real Housewives of New York City have wrapped their season up last night, but with the reunion coming up, the fire is starting to get a little more flame in it! Ramona has explained her side of the story in the drama that erupted with Aviva and her father George, who Ramona feels like she was attacked by, physically and verbally.
Speaking to Wetpaint, Ramona explains that she was not exaggerating about George getting physical with her at her charity event from a couple of episodes back. Ramona said, “You have to understand, I grew up in a situation where my father was physically or verbally abusive to my mother every day of my life. When George grabbed me, it not only physically hurt, it was upsetting. It wasn’t right.”
When Aviva confronted Ramona, she kept saying that it was not fair to throw out an “elderly” man and kept emphasizing on the phrase “an 80 year old man”. Ramona says she does not feel bad and feels like what she did was fair. “I first asked him nicely to leave. George refused and then verbally and physically attacked me. I tried to reason with him, but he wouldn’t listen to me. He hurt me. I don’t think I was out of line,” said Ramona.
Ramona updates us and says she is fine with all the RHONY women, except Aviva. “I have nothing to say to Aviva. I think she has displaced anger that she takes out on me. I don’t think she’s a happy person. I’m a happy person. I find is strange that Aviva accepts her father’s inappropriate behavior and calls it entertaining and funny. Aviva has two sets of rules: one for me and one for everyone else,” said Ramona.
I really think Ramona is dragging this drama on. Aviva has already apologized and while Ramona had a right to be upset, I think she should accept the apology and move on. She doesn’t even have to Ramona’s friend! Thoughts on what Ramona had to say about Aviva? Do you feel that Ramona is dragging this problem out?

Am I the only one who likes George?
I do!
I mean I can see where he can be humorous. But, he is also extremely inappropriate. I wouldn’t say I dislike him, rather than I just don’t care for him. For me the inappropriateness over powers the funny, sweet side I saw from him.

I have not seen Aviva apologize to Ramona. She apologized to the fans, not Ramona. She’s still berating Ramona everywhere she can.
Yeah, Ramona is “ramotional” and I think it illustrates how very out of control Aviva continues to be that I find myself thinking Ramona is the more rational one.
Ramotional is not a good word for a 55 yr old woman and she was wrong. Aviva is batshit crazy and over the top at Barbados but most of that was adrenaline from her phobias ramona being a bitch picked at her by say get her a xanax and acting acting like she was cuckoo
Thank you- me either!!!! I think Aviva has drug this on, drug St Barts, drug everything on!! While I understand some cannot tolerate Ramona, I can!!! I think George is always inappropriate and Aviva is fine with it, so I think Ramona was right about the “different rules”. ( And I am a big defender of the elderly, lol).. He is too much for this show , unladylike, lol. I have seen Ramona, already apologize more than once to this manic phobic. I love how when Mario asked her if George was invited to Ramona’s charity , and she could not answer before truth finally came out – NO. The other cast mates are sick of Aviva dragging EVERYTHING on. Im sick of it and sick of her starting all the drama, but yet Ramona is the crazy one? Whatever.. She is not the same kind of crazy as Aviva! I don’t agree with everything Ramona does, but I sure like watching her better on the show.
Totally agree. Ramona apologized to her more than a few times. She asked her father to leave very politely more than a few times. He was told this wasn’t the time or the place and Ramona tried to walk away. I completely disagree with Ramona talking to Harry about Aviva but I still don’t know what Aviva was initially so angry about.
As crazy as Ramona can be I don’t recall her stooping to name calling.

Why couldn’t Heather, LuAnn, or Carol back Ramona when Aviva was yelling at Ramona about her father. They all said in their head shots that it was not a place for George to be at Ramona’s fundraiser. He was just there to pick up women and when he was escorted out, there went his chance of a ” pick up”. I think Aviva owes Ramona apology

I forgot about the “incest is best” statement by George but now that you mention it he said it right in front of Aviva and she thought it was cute! George has such a huge Ewwww Factor going it is unbearable to even watch/listen to him.
Ramona is right on this one. Aviva is mad at her dad for all his grossness. He is very inappropriate and to talk about incest is not funny. It is sick. Which is he? An elderly man who needs protection or this great sleazy sex maniac that Aviva seems to take pride in? He can’t be both! And coming from abuse myself, no man would dare to lay a hand on me in the way he did. And to do it at a domestic violence event was absurd!
And yes, Aviva is only apologizing because the fans have turned on her. If her phobias are so bad that she snaps to go on a trip, she should have stayed at home.

I think George is an overbaked blinding denture pervert. Who says to his daughter you look hot and sits at the table with people he doesn’t know and asks them if they will sleep with him. I was never a fan of Ramona but I have to say I’m sick of Aviva and her friggin leg. At first I thought good for her but all she talks about is her leg, her phobias and her 80 year old father who is actually a sex starved 73 year old!

I don’t care for George at all and hope he and Aviva do not return to the show. I saw a clip of George visiting Aviva in NY and shopping in a Health Food Store where he tells Aviva he’s dating a new girl. He said his new girlfriend is a young model that looks like Aviva and is African American. How could a father want to date a woman that looks like your daughter. He’s disgusting and a pervert. But Aviva doesn’t seem to care about it. And keeps picking on Ramona and Sonja for having fun and enjoying themselves.
As far as I saw it, he gave Ramona the check and she refused it (which was classless, IMO, because it was about the charity, not her) until Aviva apologized and that started the whole issue. If Ramona had just said thank you, and accepted the donation, this may have had a very different outcome.
why does everyone on the show have to indulge Aviva her multiple phobias, but SHE can call out Ramona for every little thing..? Usually people who are huge pains in the ass (like Aviva) don’t feel completely entitled to their phobias and insecurities and demand that EVERYONE tiptoe around them. If it’s so hard for Aviva to get on a plane without making everyone around her miserable about it, then DON’T GET ON A PLANE. St Barth’s wasn’t group therapy Aviva, it was supposed to be a FUN TRIP.
I just think Aviva is a selfish, self centered, spoiled rich girl. I hope she is dumped and takes that disgusting Daddy with her.
The ratings on this show are SO LOW this season that ‘Bravo Ratings’ sent out tweets to all 6 of the cast member asking ‘why are the ratings the lowest of all seasons, 2, 3 & 4……… IMO, it’s just not fun anymore.. Of course, there needs to be some drama but without any fun or even interesting interactions between the women as it used to be equals super low ratings……..
