When RHOA star NeNe Leakes announced, she was quitting the Real Housewives of Atlanta many fans questioned how Bravo and Andy Cohen could let the show’s main attraction and resident drama queen leave. Now new reports suggest that NeNe may not have had a choice in her RHOA exit.
Many sources claim that NeNe left RHOA over salary disputes because Bravo wasn’t willing to double NeNe’s already million dollar salary. Other sources are now saying that NeNe was “actually being pushed out by Bravo.”
NeNe’s constant diva behavior and tantrums left producers wanting to ax her from a full-time spot on RHOA. NeNe “was alienating everyone on the show and refused to do so much. Sometimes wouldn’t do publicity for the show and even when she did film she would sometimes just storm off. They didn’t want to pay her as much since she kept storming off and not saying anything on camera.”
Instead of paying NeNe well over a million dollars to be full-time Housewife,“They told her they were going to pay her half as much and cut her time back.”
For NeNe to save face, “Bravo allowed her to say that she wanted to leave but really Bravo was the one cutting her.”
According to sources, “producers were scratching their heads about her leaving because it is really easy money. She just needs to show up and participate, but she wasn’t even doing that.”
It also seems that NeNe’s family was pressuring her to quit the show.“Her husband and kids were warning her about the bad press she’s getting. And her son’s arrest didn’t help things.”
Not all is lost though because NeNe is still able to return to RHOA if she wants to.“If she would want to be an active part of the show that would be a completely different story.”
