yeah and krystal called you how she saw you. which is a hater. personally i could care less. i just don’t agree that you think she’s classless and trashy. she is obviously far from it. out of all of the housewives nene improved the most and she always presented herself as the realest person on the show. especially the last seasons of the show she avoided drama. don’t get me wrong she isn’t mother teresa but she definitely isn’t trash. she always has her head held up high and i respect that.

The problem I have with Ebony and other like magazines aimed at the African American audience is that there are real influential movers and shakers engaged in careers that make a difference in the community and the world that never get any attention. If it’s not a rapper, basketball player or someone playing to the stereotype of a mad black woman, you will most likely not be given any props from these type publications.

Don’t waste your pity on “us”. It’s a magazine cover…I doubt the majority of Americans base their lives on how a celebrity acts and behaves.
I’m trying not to judge. Honestly, good for NeNe. I wish I were rich, on t.v., and draped out on Ebony. Still, list of “most influential”? I feel like plenty of Black entertainers get noticed, but what about Black teachers purposefully working in impoverished communities, neighborhood watch leaders, the plethora of dedicated black social workers, black missionaries. I’m sure those types of people are on the list, but something about her being on the cover just seems a little off. I’m sure she’s done some great things, but the word that keeps coming up is “perspective.” Is she really influential or just popular right now? Is she affecting meaningful change in a meaningful way throughout the Black community in a way that moves us forward? Maybe the answer is yes, but these are just what come to mind.

SO happy for NENE….I love this success story so much more than Bethenny’s story. I think NENE has had a truly hard life, not the made up one Bethenny claims to have had. Poor Bethenny went to a fancy boarding school, nobody loves her….Boo hoo….I went to boarding school and it was amazing now that I look back on it. It is not prison. Ridiculous. Anyway, glad she’s gone. I hope NENE ends up with millions of dollars and the life she always dreamt of. She is a great example that money doesn’t buy happiness because she was fun even when she was broke. Her and Kim were one of the best friendships I’ve ever seen on reality tv. They were hilarious and it’s too bad but the show must go on. Oh yea, Miss NENE has arrived!

amazing how people can’t just be happy for someone. nene might not be influential to you but she can be for someone else. she came from a broke environment to being on a reality show, two tv shows and now a magazine cover. i say good for her and she is a symbol of success for somebody. many reality stars try to make it on movies and tv and she made it happen. she is the “it” star right now and of course ebony wants her on the cover. many of you act like she is some evil horrible person. yes, she can be loud but that is no reason to hate on someone. there are worse human beings than nene leakes being loud.
