NeNe Leakes Dishes On New Cast Mates Kenya Moore & Porsha Stewart

NeNe Leakes stopped by the Wendy Williams Show today and spoke about her new hit show, The New Normal, which was just ordered for a whole season by NBC. NeNe dished on her new cast mates on the Real Housewives of Atlanta, and also was asked about Kim Zolciak!

Wendy asked NeNe if she is fearful that her image on RHOA will hinder her work in scriped acting over in Hollywood. NeNe said that she “hopes not” and that Ryan Murphy “liked [her] outspokenness” as seen on RHOA and Celebrity Apprentice. Wendy then says that the two new Housewives, Kenya Moore and Porsha Stewart will give NeNe a run for her money and NeNe says “I don’t think so.” NeNe says Kenya is “definitely entertaining” and that Porsha is a mix of both civil rights heart and cattiness. When it comes to Kim not being in the cast photo, NeNe says “who?” followed by a loud cackle. She is also proud to see a Housewives cast photo of all “brown girls.” Check out the rest of her interview below:

      No no, boo, she just knows how to handle these media folk. NOW THAT’S HOW YOU HANDLE MRS. WENDY!!! Tre, take notes!!!! You control them don’t let them control you. Wendy looked like she just smoked a great cig atfter that interview, and Nene walked out laughing to the bank…NO RE-DO NEEDED!!!!

    Am I alone in being squicked out by her comment that she’s glad it’s “all brown girls” in the RHOA cast photo? As a brown girl myself, I sort of…SORT OF…get the point she’s trying to pretend she’s making. But it’s not like women of color are woefully underrepresented in trashy reality tv. It’s scripted shows on major networks where we’re struggling. And people who cast WOC as cartoon stereotypes (*cough*Ryan Myrphy*cough*) aren’t helping.

      Women of color may not be underrepresented on reality shows, but they are underepresented on BRAVO! If Brovo can cast a group of white girls to represent a city, why should it be a problem to cast brown girls to represent a city. In addition, how many other shows have you seen on the Bravo network that include people of color?

    I was never a Nene fan but I do appreciate that she and Kim dislike each other and for the most part don’t discuss each other at all. They both have their own lives and seem to care less about the other. Kim and Nene should give maturity lessons to the cast of RHoNJ.

    I think Ne Ne is a man. nothing women like about her. she is getto ole way in plain words low life
    very pushy and needs to go back to school.
    Look at her chidren the oldest boy no brain I wonder where he gets that from. “ghetto” now he has kids where some day we taxpayers have to support.
