Miami Housewife Lea Black Buys Over 100,000 Followers On Twitter!
Damn these housewives! Do they really feel better about themselves when they have more followers? Alexis Bellino, Melissa Gorga, Kathy Wakile and Adrienne Maloof were rumored to buying twitter followers and RHOM star Lea Black is the latest housewife to buy followers!
Yesterday I saw Lea had a total of 118,000 followers and today it magically went up to 222,621 followers! That’s over 100,000 followers in just one day! That’s very unlikely especially since The Real Housewives of Miami isn’t airing! Even if it was airing, it’s still very unlikely to happen over night! Lea sure has some explaining to do!

Wow!! How does this “buying followers” thing work?
I know, right?!? These desperate ladies can pay me to “follow” them on Twitter. And I know why they do it too. The more “followers” one has, the more they can tell companies, to which the companies provide them free merch or meals (restaurants), or stays (hotels), etc. That’s the real reason, not the bragging rights…
You should be careful, isn’t her husband an attorney? She might sue you for libel
How can she sue when its true? I’ve been following Leah and I too saw that she had only around 100,000 followers. Now she has over 200,000 followers? Doesn’t add up!
You’d need more proof than that in a court of law.
What I don’t get is, 1. how does one buy followers and 2. what’s the point exactly?
Are the followers people buy real people? Or are they fake accounts, i’m very confused by it all. Are there 100,000 people sitting at their computers and phones waiting to be told who the next person they have to follow is?
Also, RHOM was airing season 1 yesterday in the afternoon (during their “marathons” slot), but I also think it is highly unlikely Lea got 100k+ followers
Can anyone tell me why? Is there a way to make money off of Twitter? I’m ignorant to the whole thing? What fun is buying followers…?It’s much cooler to be loved by your fans and slowly watch your numbers rise~I would think…
I will explain how “buying Twitter followers” works. There are companies out there that can be hired for a fee. After payment, these companies create fake Twitter accounts. They will have no tweets, and just egg profiles. They are not real people. They then assign them to the person who paid. It is quite easy to do as these companies have invented programs to do it basically automatically. It is a flaw in Twitter’s system that allows mass-creation like this.
I repeat – they are not real people.
But what is the point? Is there more to it than simply wanting to be viewed as popular? Seems plausible the re-airing of S1 gained her some extra attention/followers..unless there is more to having loads of followers than I am aware of (very possible!).
Maybe she picked up because there was a “Miami Marathon” on Bravo yesterday LOL. My she certainly looks different in the pix that is posted! Amazing what money can buy as far as your looks. Too bad she can’t buy a new personality to match! Gawd she is loud and obnoxious…just like her mansion! I still can’t believe they brought back this series. Although I have to admit, the Miami reruns were a 100% BETTER than the current HWNYC! LOLLOL
She’s had an eye lift and possibly a face lift. So now she’s given her twitter a lift too. lol So bogus.

YES…You can buy followers, Kathy and Melissa does it. There is a marketing group that sells followers, and they market your name on twitter. I couldn’t believe it. Now Melissa Gorga has been on the show for the past year, and she already has 400k followers, YET Caroline and Jac has the same amount as hers…she is NOT that popular.
