Kim Richards Talks Upcoming Season Of RHOBH
RHOBH star Kim Richards revealed she was an alcoholic. Kim Richards was way off last season and many questioned her behavior. Kim has since went to rehab and isn’t going anywhere! She will be returning next season and tells Wetpaint what we can expect of her. She says, “People are going to see how hard I’m working. I’m not going to be sitting around with these girls sipping cocktails and just hanging out. I’m going to be very into AA and spending time with the people who have been supporting me.”
Kim adds that she hopes she can be a role model to those in the grip of addiction saying, “It’s this: If I can do it, under these circumstances having it all filmed, having everyone know every little detail about everything, then you can do it.” Glad Kim is clearly a lot better and can’t wait to see the real her next season. Was an Alchoholic? You are one and I suspect pills as well. I’ve never witnessed a drunk person act like she did without the help of some pills or something else. glad you are getting treatment
Kim admitted she took pills when she was getting Botox from Paul. Kim was taking anxiety medication, and I think to other medications her doctor had given her.. Watch last season again, it’s clearly documented.
At least she is trying. Everyone deserves a chance to change.
If she stays on the wagon ill be excited to see her go through the recovery process. If they try to spin it like nothing ever happened then im not going to be a fan!
She has a real problem, we all witnessed it and if they can exploit the russle situation by spinning it for domestic abuse victims they should be able to really do something good with Kims story. But i wont hold my breath!

She’s not returning on a full time basis & I say kudos’ to that…….Wish her only but the best……..
I hope she kicks ass and takes names next season. If she continues her sobriety, it will be really sweet to watch.

I was just about to say the same thing. I really don’t want to watch Kim with her toxic sister. I know Kyle cares for Kim, but I see her as selfish and controlling. Everything always has to be all about Kyle! Me, me, me, me, me! It’s annoying sometimes.
Yes, Kim obviously has her issues, but Kyle treats her horribly sometimes. I just see Kim as being easily manipulated by her sister, and it’ll worry me if I don’t see some progress in the both of them. Kyle wanted Kim to come back to the show so that she’ll get her end of the bargain.
I just don’t trust Kyle, and Kim is so fragile… I hope she’s strong enough to put her younger sister in her place.
Try dealing with a sister or a loved one with alcohol/drug problems for 15+ years then maybe you’d understand why Kyle acts the way she does around Kim.
Exactly! Dealing with an addict is difficult at best and it changes the whole dynamic of your relationship. We only see a portion of their lives so we really don’t have nor will we ever have a clear picture of why their relationship is like that.
I suspect she was on cocaine too. It looks like she has gained some weight, which makes me know it was more than alcohol. I het brandi was very close with the crack comment which is why vyle Kyle and Kim behaved like the did and I’m sure will continue to do. Both trashy, hateful people.
She was abusing her prescription medication. Brandi wasnt right about anything.
I think she was taking vicodin or percocet that maybe wasnt perscribed for her. In Hawaii her behavior and the nodding in and out at breakfast was classic signs of opiates
Plus, Brandi was downing Xanax and drinking, admittedly, so she really can’t throw stones.
No one acts like that purely by abusing prescription medication. Brandi was spot on as usual.
Um, no. Do your research before claiming that no one acts loopy like Kim when they’re abusing prescription medication. FYI, it just wasn’t medication she was abusing. She was taking them with alcohol. Brandi was completely wrong as usual.
I agree with you Stacey, they “came out” with the lesser of the two in terms of public perception.
Brandi is too much of an expert on everything.
Brandi does have some formal training – the three months of alcohol education she was sentenced to (plus 3 years of probation) for her DUI conviction.
I am so glad that all the haters out there exactly what Kim’s issues are ! Shame on you all ! We don’t know what really happened & it’s none of our biz, but I am glad she got the help she needed & is on a good road right now. GOOD WORK KIM & GOOD LUCK !!!
I hope the show doesn’t stress her out too much. To hear that she is going to show people what recovery looks like is encouraging–maybe she can inspire others to seek treatment. But I hope she remembers to keep her sobriety as her _top_ priority.
I hope she stays away from Kyle. Kyle needs her to be sick and dependent and tries to keep people around her in those roles.
I’m glad she’s returning as I don’t think this show would make sense without her. Yes, she had her downs but she’s the only one who brings sunshine to the show.
I wish her success and I look forward to watching her transform into a responsible woman who cares about herself.
I agree about the sunshine. She seems at heart like a very kind, simple, loving life type person. She seems the only down to earth one on the entire show. I think she is also classic middle child. I hope if she’s going to be coming back she is shown getting her life together and showing what a real housewife with her situation does to get it all together. Now THAT is a storyline to follow.
I think it’ll be interesting to see the dynamic between a sober Kim and a falling down drunk Taylor…
