Kathy Wakile Talks Lunch With Teresa And Is Happy But Cautious To Move Forward!
RHONJ star Kathy Wakile blogged about her lunch date with cousin Teresa Giudice and reveals that she is actually happy to move forward with her cousin. Still-she admits she is a bit cautious but glad the two are moving along
“I think we have all learned a few things with this week’s episode. When your friends and family stick their necks out for you and try to help, it can make for a challenging relationship. It’s hard to turn your back and just forget what has been done and said, whether to your face or behind your back. It’s so difficult to juggle it all and it makes you wonder, why do you even have to? Wouldn’t it be so much easier if there were more honesty, more communication, and far less pettiness and animosity?
It seems like there has been an epiphany here in New Jersey overnight. I was certainly skeptical about the shift in sentiment coming from my cousin Teresa, considering that just a day before (to my surprise) she was on Jacqueline’s deck telling her and Caroline that I was fake. (Well, not in those exact words.) But when she actually did call me and suggest that we meet, I was genuinely happy to hear her voice. I imagine that everyone has their time to feel ready to make amends, and I have always been willing to go in that direction. I wasn’t happy about the tabloid articles, especially that things were said about me that were absolutely untrue and hurtful, but I truly wanted to put those feelings aside and look at the bigger picture.
Our lunch together went well. I was cautiously optimistic and did not want to rock the boat, so I did not ask her about the tabloids. As we all have witnessed in the past, Teresa does not like talking about certain situations, and the last thing I wanted was another big blow-up. It’s always been very confusing for me to read all the negativity that has been written about me and quoted by Teresa. It’s one thing to hear the words being spoken first hand and another to read what someone is saying about you. Only to have it be denied. It’s pretty simple, if you disagree with what a particular tabloid is writing, then why continue to do interviews or “photo shoots” with them? Maybe I’m just being naive, but wouldn’t that make sense? The problem for me is that I need the people close to me to be honest with me. I’m easy. I cope much easier with the truth. Show me your genuine feelings, good or bad, and I will deal with it. I don’t like to hold a grudge, however, I do get hurt, mostly from disappointment. I thought it would just be best not to pepper the situation in any way and keep it positive. I thought that if things still bothered me in the future, perhaps Teresa and I could talk about it when our relationship was stronger and she wouldn’t feel like I was attacking her. It felt like Teresa was ready to get back to a happier place and so was I. It was a good feeling.
How happy are you all that Teresa finally decided to join her brother Joey and seek therapy so they can start to heal their relationship? I have to give props to my Richie for the suggestion. Fingers crossed!
It is so sad for me to see that the Manzo and Laurita families seemed to be the sacrificial lambs in this whole process. After all, they have been wonderful friends, and from the time I first met them, they were always trying to help get us all back together again. Let’s hope that they won’t give up on any of us. You can never have too many caring friends. Let’s all hope for the best, I for one am tired of all the fighting.”
I agree with most of what Kathy had to say except that she considers the Manzos/Lauritas “good friends.” If anything Kathy needs to be cautious about those people! They are quick to flip a switch, and call you out on everything you have said or did! Do you think Kathy and Teresa will ever move forward?

It bothers me that Kathy said she was afraid of making Caroline and Jacqueline mad. That shouldn’t even be a consideration!

Exactly! I’ll believe the sincerity from Kathy when she actually sticks up for Teresa, and calls Jacqueline out for all her twitter rants against Teresa. THEN I’ll believe she wants to move on with her cousin.
She’s not going to do that because it would call attention to how her family acts on Twitter, trashing their own family and being all lovey-dovey with other people who do. I bet this is causing a huge rift in the extended family, if I were a relative I’d be disgusted by how these people act.
Her blog screamed passive aggressive. She’s glad they are making amends but she brought up the hole tabloid thing, then she wants to keep an open mind and be positive yet she says that the manzo/Lauritas are “sacrificial lambs”?? And that they are great friends?? These cast members are nuts! Pfff, like I don’t watch the show and see whats going on with my own eyes. Just because you say it’s true in writing doesn’t mean it’s true. I’m so tired of the lot of them feeding the viewers bs as if we’re all stupid and will eat up anything they throw us, no matter how ridiculous or how much sense it DOESN’T make.
Any “friend” that tells the world what you’ve told them privately it’s not a good friend or person at all. I really like Kathy. I don’t think T had a big issue w her except w Kathy getting close 2 Melho. I’m happy they’re moving in the right direction.
I can’t even imagine sitting there and listening to Manzoid if someone was talking about a family member or cousin even if we weren’t on the greatest of terms. If I remember correctly Caroline didn’t like Kathie at first until she saw that she could manipulate her to take Tre down.

All she needed ths show for was to get out of trouble and start paying overdue bills. No lie………..her goofy husband admitted it………………so why not add insult to injury and make money doing it. All of these people on this show combined have the intelligence of a “gnat” or a half a banana…..they are so totally ignorant to good moral standing, ethics and just plain human respect. The make for good comedy and, by no mean, do they dare call themselves Italian………..
I’m confused by her statement that she’s happy to try again with Tre when just 2 weeks ago Tre wouldn’t even do an interview with her on the View?? So what is the current story and true?? I love Teresa and feel she was vindicated in last nites ep bc it proved that Mel deliberately came on the show to stick to Tre bc she hated her and went to Danielle to cause trouble.

Jacqueline has already admiited in DMs that she and melissa and Kathy aren’t really friends, they only see each other when they’re filming. I’m sure the same thing goes for caroline. So basically, Kathy is admitting that she’s such a famewhore that she’s willing to sacrifice her relationship with her family to stay on good terms with people she has no real relationship with? It’s all about doing whatever she thinks will keep her on the show with a viable storyline.

That doesn’t say much about K,M,C, &J. and C has been nothing but nice since the first day they met? REALLY?? I remember C almost throwing you and M out of the BROWNSTONE by your nostrils. C is only puttin gup w/ the 2 of you guys now because T wasn’t bowing down and kissing her a** like she felt she should have been doing. C wanted to tell T what to do when it came to her family last season and T wasn’t listening, which i don’t blame her C doesn’t talk to half of her family and i don’t remember T asking what she should do. I wanted to like you and you’ve had moments where I almost did, like how you handled Gia after her meltdown.
This is the second time this season I have seen you sit there while Jac, Caro and Lauren (at the solstice party) say nasty, horrible things about your cousin. You do have an uncomfortable look on your face while they do it, but you allow it to continue. At the very LEAST you should walk away.

To be honest if she would have been cool with Tre before s3 and she came on and they got along. It wasn’t doing it behind T back. And her husband wasn’t such a douche I would like her….. but I don’t and I probably wont. LOL
Oh yea ill provably would like her if she didn’t let people talk about her family. True or not; right or wrong. Fighting or not. You should never let no one talk about your family. I could careless how much you hate that family members you shouldn’t allow them to trash them and you shouldn’t join in on it….
Of course they are cautious to move forward. Kathy, Melissa and Joe Gorga came on this show to hurt Teresa, so naturally, they have no intention of really moving in a positive direction with negative intentions. Melissa, I believe also has much to do with the negative tabloids. She didn’t resist contacting Danielle, she will certainly not resist dishing to the tabloids. Teresa should have never gone to a therapist with her brother as he will use whatever he learns about Teresa as ammo against her in the tabloids.

Ha! I forgot about that – I was sidetracked by her usual ignorance ..
